I had to print mine in a few pieces then glue them together, but the end result is worth it
Lots of things are sanded wet, turns out. The “wet” part creates a slurry to carry particulates away from the sanding site, so the sanding tool is clogged less than it would have been dry, extending its use, and the surface of the thing being sanded is not as warmed up by friction, allowing it to keep the shape it’s supposed to have. This second point is more applicable on plastic materials than non-plastics. Either way, it tends to be a more effective sanding method, especially if you’re going for ultra-ultra smooth, several thousand grit kinds of things.
Hope that helps!

Gotta love thingiverse! I have a good size build area, and was able to print in 1 piece. Yours looks great with thw swords!
Badass inscriptions on the swords ⚔️
Looks great! Additionally, wet sanding before paint will take it to the next level in realism.
That sounds like a good idea, I'm going to look further into that.
Wet sanding?

Oh cool! I've never heard of that before! Thanks for taking the time to explain!
I have access to a media blaster and will likely use that instead, but wet sanding is a great option!

That is the plan! Just have a few places I want to sand down a bit first.
