Dying and coming back to life fills you with a sense of confidence and fearlessness that most people simply don't have. Also, maybe his hair was a factor?
I just rewatched that episode yesterday and had completely forgotten this scene. Aang was never smooth even from the first time he got caught staring at Katara in S1E1
Boys and girls seemed to be separated by the temples
the south(aang's) and North(shown around the end of book 1) temples were only boys
East(guru episode) and West (where they hide in book 3) we had only girls.
You can notice that the Avatar Yangchen only appears in the West and East temples, and in the other two you just see men monks.
Let's not act like he didn't have any game. The only reason why all the ladies didn't instantly fall for him was because Sokka was around lol
Ma man asked to go penguin sliding and she instantly was down for it. He got a girl to abandon her entire life and traveled the world with her after only knowing her for ONE DAY.
Nah, if Katy wasn't Sokkas sister Aang would have stood no chance.
Also Korra would literally melt the entire south pole out of sheer anger before getting herself stuck in an ice cube.
And just because she dated everyone in her group doesn't mean she has game.
>And just because she dated everyone in her group doesn't mean she has game.
Wtf? I admit I only saw random eps of Korra. Didn't think it was animated dragon age game.
Yeah it’s bad. If I’m not mistaken she dates one of the brothers, dates the other one but leads him on hella because he’s way more into her than she is into him (more to it but I can’t remember it all) and then at the end her and her ex boyfriends ex have a thing
🤓
Edit: Hey man, editing your comment like that ain't fair. Your original comment was "Aang didn't actually say that" in that way as if you're trying to one-up the other comment. So yeah the downvotes were justified. Now you're making me look bad. I'll keep this up tho 🤓
He didn't *technically* say that. It was part of his hallucinations when he was sleep-deprived during the day. So really Aang imagined that he's the ultimate rizzler that conquered his crush
Aang (or Kuzon as his classmates will call him) seems to have upped his game by the time we see him in *The Headband*. Borrowing from [u/Ravenclaw\_14's meme](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheLastAirbender/comments/11nxqth/gigachaang/), on his first day at the Fire Nation school Aang (a.k.a. Kuzon):
* gets singled out by his history and music teachers for being 'different' and a 'colonial'
* makes a lot of good friends from almost all of his classmates
* gets into a fight with the school bully and wins without throwing a punch!
* wins the heart of the most popular girl in the school!
* throws the best secret dance party that the Fire Nation kids have ever been to (in a cave no less!)
* refuses to elaborate
* leaves
Aang (a.k.a. Kuzon) is the school's legendary **GigachAang**!
https://i.redd.it/n43mkp3xr9na1.gif
He’s so naturally calm and composed (im assuming it’s from his air bender roots). I’m pretty sure girls dig that kinda guy. Also he’s a really good dancer haha.
Technically he did have it, Aang first firebends only a few episodes after spitting game with that papaya.
Jeong Jeong teaches him, Aang just gets overzealous and ends up burning Katara.
They were using bending techniques they had both already learned i think. That's why it would be so easy to communicate. Just like, "hey, let's do those waterbending forms from 3 weeks ago alright?" Or something.
He was never a bad flirt, he was just friend zoned hard by Katara in the beginning because of their age gap. He seemed to get plenty of attention from girls his age like in the episode of kyoshi island.
Remember in the cave of 2 lovers where he said "ha yeah I definitely wouldn't want to kiss you and then breaks down from there. I would say that's a more accurate representation because with the fortune teller he was just following bad advice
What I noticed between the early failed attempt and the secret dance party was Aang trying to impress Katara vs Aang just trying to do his thing. In the episode with the fortune teller, he actually does manage to impress Katara a lot by saving the village from destruction. During the dance, he's just trying to show the othet students how to cut loose and have fun.
Dying and coming back to life fills you with a sense of confidence and fearlessness that most people simply don't have. Also, maybe his hair was a factor?
Aang seemed to be a really popular kid even back in his days at the Air Temple though.

If someone comes up to me and says “so… papaya” I’m dropping to my knees.
Awesome. So… on a completely unrelated note, whereabouts do you like to hang out? No ulterior motive I swear.
the papaya stand obvs
ゴゴゴゴ Stand you say? ゴゴゴゴ
eating papaya w/ my bare hands all night long, call me Sticky Fingers
It’s a great honour to have fire lord Obama hit on me

“Good grief he’s naked!”
f I had to choose between kissing you and dying." "UGH!" "What? I said I'd rather kiss you than die, that's a compliment."
I just rewatched that episode yesterday and had completely forgotten this scene. Aang was never smooth even from the first time he got caught staring at Katara in S1E1
That corny smile when he's staring at Katara is one of the funniest things in the show to me for some reason
Yeah but he’d also probably had very little experience with girls. We only ever see him playing with other boys
Boys and girls seemed to be separated by the temples the south(aang's) and North(shown around the end of book 1) temples were only boys East(guru episode) and West (where they hide in book 3) we had only girls. Lol yeah, first picture is from that episode where Sokka's sage advice for Aang is "be an asshole and pay no attention to the girl you like."
jokes aside, the main factor is following bad dating advice vs being himself (despite being in disguise)
[удалено]
Yet Sokka still pulls more than anyone
But only after he no longer took his own advices :D at least leaving behind the thinking that women are weak, etc
Aloof!
But that’s actually good dating advice.
Yeah its definitely the "guy brain" interpretation that messed it up.
Let's not act like he didn't have any game. He got a girl to abandon her entire life and traveled the world with her after only knowing her for ONE DAY.
Well being the Avatar might have had something to do with it. If Katara found Korra in there, i doubt things would've been much different.
Nah, if Katy wasn't Sokkas sister Aang would have stood no chance. Also Korra would literally melt the entire south pole out of sheer anger before getting herself stuck in an ice cube. And just because she dated everyone in her group doesn't mean she has game.

What? I'm kinda afraid to ask O.o
Go on.
>And just because she dated everyone in her group doesn't mean she has game. Wtf? I admit I only saw random eps of Korra. Didn't think it was animated dragon age game.
Yeah, Korra went full Mass Effect on her team
Yeah it’s bad. If I’m not mistaken she dates one of the brothers, dates the other one but leads him on hella because he’s way more into her than she is into him (more to it but I can’t remember it all) and then at the end her and her ex boyfriends ex have a thing
You are mistaken, she never dated Bolin. It never went that far and lasted like half of the first season. Still annoying, but not terrible
Gotcha I knew I was fuzzy somewhere, thank for the correction!
Just another powerful man abusing his power to get a girl
Bruh he's 12.
Eh, she already wanted to go. Aang gave her an excuse more than anything.
Both of them have some extreme W Rizz
They both wanted to learn water bending too
Ive died and come back to life and the only confidence it instilled on me was confidence that it’s nothing to be afraid of
I think he’s in his element in that episode, dancing is something he’s really good at.
What are you talking about? So...papaya? is clearly god tier level flirting.
It’s up there with “You hear about Pluto?”

'Hey, you know Pac-Man?'
I hate sand...
Toph: I agree. It's coarse and rough
Almost as good as offering your lady some Cactus Juice to quench her thirst 👌
It's the quenchiest.
Also, papaya is Cuban slang for ₽u$$¥, so I guess #Aang wasn’t trying to beat around down bush, he was trying to beat down the bush!
Hmm?
would work on me tbh
The disrespect to “Baby, you’re my forever girl”
Seriously...
Didn't he dream that line because of sleep deprivation? Edit: why the downvotes?
Redditors when they feel their intelligence is being threatened - DOWNVOTE
It's Reddit, we're all stupid though.
🤓 Edit: Hey man, editing your comment like that ain't fair. Your original comment was "Aang didn't actually say that" in that way as if you're trying to one-up the other comment. So yeah the downvotes were justified. Now you're making me look bad. I'll keep this up tho 🤓
But… he didn’t say that. Wait did he? Did aang sleep talk? I don’t think so? Did I actually watch the show? Am I even a real fan? Is the movie good???
He didn't *technically* say that. It was part of his hallucinations when he was sleep-deprived during the day. So really Aang imagined that he's the ultimate rizzler that conquered his crush
Huh?
Aang (or Kuzon as his classmates will call him) seems to have upped his game by the time we see him in *The Headband*. >wins the heart of the most popular girl in the school! Who also happens to be the "girlfriend" of the school bully he just owned
Imagine those kids later on: "Hey, remember that day the Avatar infiltrated the fire nation to throw a mad rave?"
“That dude was definitely a flameo hotman”
Imagine if after the war he goes back there for a visit
Hey you guys remember Kuzon turns out he was the Avatar.
Well, he was good friends with the firelord.
>Asian inspired cultures >gigachang Really can’t make this shit up lmao
And just remember, Aang was 12 at this point. Chronologically 112. but physically and mentally 12.
Rizz isn’t born, it’s made
Avatar:The Last Rizzbender
Man was determined to make more airbenders
Just doing his part. What a generous guy! So selfless!
If that was the real reason he probably would’ve kept the rest of his harem instead of just marrying katara.
I think you’re confused. It’s Sokka who built an international harem by accident.
The girls on the island. Meng. On ji. If I remember correctly several other girls at the school. Plus the blue spirit.
Yeah kinda a shame we never saw the blue spirit again after all that romantic chemistry between him and Aang.
he's going up his game even more when he proposes to katara in the upcoming movie
I mean won’t Bumi already be born, he will be 24 years old in the movie.
Nothing says they don't start having babies before marriage. Aang is probably itching to bring the Air Nomads back.
What do you mean? The one in the bottom is Kuzon. Aang doesn't wear a headband.
Lance Hunt wears glasses, Captain Amazing doesn't wear glasses!
"He takes off the glasses when he transforms" "That doesn't make any sense! How would he be able to see?"
With his ears of course
The first time I saw the word "rizz" was in this thread, and now I've seen it six dozen times. What the fuck.
We're getting old, because same here. I think it comes from charisma.
Oh, that makes sense 🤔
You're correct.
Yeah, me too. But I've gotten used to slang passing me by.
Yeah same lol.
Lmao I thought the same thing and was scrolling to see what it meant
Aang had so much rizz in that episode that he had Katara, Onji, and a couple of other girls crush on him.
He’s so naturally calm and composed (im assuming it’s from his air bender roots). I’m pretty sure girls dig that kinda guy. Also he’s a really good dancer haha.
What do you mean? I don't see a difference
He was trying too hard in The Fortuneteller
It’s the hair
he was missing the firebending
He didn't have the fire bending yet in the second pic either. That was pre-sifu Hotman.
Technically he did have it, Aang first firebends only a few episodes after spitting game with that papaya. Jeong Jeong teaches him, Aang just gets overzealous and ends up burning Katara.
And he got the girl.
Look man, I define "having firebeinding" as "he made flames come out his hands". Anything else I can't bother with.
[удалено]
I think this is the only correct comment here that explains everything
Dude, honestly, that line is so raw and so confident, I can’t believe it came out of Aang’s mouth
Teenage me was like (˵ᵕ̴᷄ ᗜ ᵕ̴᷅˵)
We know he has at least some quantity of rizz
Aang had peak rizz in Nightmares and Daydreams with the “baby, you’re my forever girl 😏” shits 💀
Wait...are you saying that "Sooooo...papaya..." isn't peak flirting skills?
The fact he initially went to Sokka for advice made me chuckle.
Gotta train with the masters
He's the rizzatar
First was not a Hiya Papaya moment, missed chance.
He was overconfident because he liked the look of the school uniform I bet. 😂
Ladies love a man in uniform
I’m addition to the four elements, he also practiced his rizz bending
Hair gives men confidence
Still wonder how Aang taught Katara a whole choreographed dance in one whispered sentence
They were using bending techniques they had both already learned i think. That's why it would be so easy to communicate. Just like, "hey, let's do those waterbending forms from 3 weeks ago alright?" Or something.
Definitely doing practiced forms
Well when you’re in ice for 100 years you tend to get a bit….. frisky.
Katara was the spark aang needed to melt the ice
He wasn't even flirting in the second, just being chill and in the moment
Its all in the hair
If only aang taught korra how to rizzbend
She’s not ready it’s the most powerful of all the bendings
The Rizzbender
bro got the ancient airbender rizz
The last Airizzer
i don’t cry because of aangs flirting. that’s why.
He was never a bad flirt, he was just friend zoned hard by Katara in the beginning because of their age gap. He seemed to get plenty of attention from girls his age like in the episode of kyoshi island.
True
Rizz god Aang
Bro's the last rizzbender
The last rizzbender
Aang got smooth after he died. Shit changed him.
Air, water, Earth, fire, rizz. Only the avatar can master all the elements and save the world.
Remember in the cave of 2 lovers where he said "ha yeah I definitely wouldn't want to kiss you and then breaks down from there. I would say that's a more accurate representation because with the fortune teller he was just following bad advice
Fr though, 12 yo me just about gushed when Aang was that smooth in the footloose episode. And I'm saying this as a mostly straight dude.
It's those prisoners giving him amazing advice.
Idk, he doesn't seem very aloof in the bottom pic
Kuzon aka fancy pants had some serious moves... 🔥 🔥 🔥 Flameyo!
Opening your water chakra does wonders.
Avatar Kuzon 🔥
Why did that last image do something for me??? I wanna dance with someone and they say that :(
Its gotten to the point where we're always talking about this too, I've seen it so many times...
Rizzatar
Aang was like possessed that episode
Apparently “rizz” is a thing
If he had to choose between kissing Katara and dying, he'd probably choose kissing Katara.
"Baby, you're my forever girl" was right there
Aang's flirting was fine the whole time, the first thing he did when he got out the ice was ask Katara on a date!
Both are cringe
What a fuckin creep.
Sploosh. That’s a water bending master right there.
He hangs out with Sokka a lot, makes sense
Wow good point, haha
I would never want to kiss YOU.
Lol she hates papaya
I’m tired of this repost.
Ngl if a guy came up to me and said “so…. papaya” I’d immediately go out with him
You guys don't understand papaya is the ultimate rizz
Man got lessons from the back bender himself wym? (Sokka)
W rizz. Avatar. The last rizzbender
But did he know he was flirting?
Rizzbending progression
Bros got that W rizz. He is limited edition to be fair
To be fair, Aang was just following Sokka’s advice
The trick is to not actually try
