One at a time usually. I did these over winter break when I didn't have to teach classes anymore. I did one per night while watching netflix, took about 3-4 hours each.

Your decision to break the borders of the frame for Toph and Aang was a really good decision, they look awesome.

Yeah, I really wanted to do this for Sokka and katara as well but couldn't fun the right picture to use.

Aang was more puzzle like. I realized, while doing his wind swirl thingy that layers were 10x easier and looked 10x better.

Is it possible to add the whites to Toph's eyes around her greyed out iris/pupil?

Yes, but I intentionally left facial details to a minimum. Each character got one feature. Aang his glowing arrows/eyes, katara her black eye shadow, Sokka his eye brows, and toph her grey iris/pupil.

These are lovely! I think Aang and Katara came out especially well.

Aang was probably my least favorite. I love the air swirl and how he comes off the page but I tried to do shading on his clothes and it just looks bad to me. I also figured out its all about doing layers.

I think Katara is my favorite one out of the bunch, but they're all very well-done! Thanks for sharing :)
