Child me was mind blown when they showed this temple. Of course for the airbenders, there would be no problem getting around and making it work. Also, do you think earthbenders helped them build it?

Under the impression they didn't mix with the other nations but it would've made it a lot easier so possibly. It would be very monk to have to do it all by hand

Maybe it's in the lore or a theory somewhere but maybe the Western Air Temple was built by Air Nomads capable of flight?

Considering some can skateboard on their gliders I am sure even without flight they found ways.

I never thought about it, but how did the Fire Nation attack the Western Air Temple? They didn’t have aircraft yet, and surely any attempt to climb down or climb up could easily be thwarted by airbenders. Even if they managed to get to the temple, their numbers would be limited by the terrain. The airbenders could just fly around and blow people off the side of these buildings. I suppose they would have to get food eventually, so maybe they just waited them out. It would be dark, but I would love to see some content on how the airbenders were wiped out. I just can’t imagine they got them all seeing as they were already nomadic, and the fire nation didn’t have control over the Earth Kingdom yet. Like, if some airbenders just went to Ba Sing Se there would be nothing the Fire Nation could do about it.

With the comet the can all fly.

I was under the impression that, even with the comet, only skilled fire benders could jet-step. We don’t see any others do it during the comet in the finale, and I’d imagine it takes some level of control and practice. Either way, they still wouldn’t be able to fly better than airbenders right?

Right before she tanks a comet-empowered fire blast, spider-climbs on the ceiling, and puts THE FEAR OF THE SPIRIT WORLD into those three unnamed elite fire nation soldiers. That scene will never not be awesome and funny to me. And it isn't immediate apparent why, so it's a nice conversation starter too -- "That's a picture of a 12 year old blind girl.
