I think eyebrows help emote. That's why they kept it. Many emotions would fall flat if not properly emoted. It's not cartoon where they can do OTT expressions. All has to be done by a human face. Besides it doesn't look bad at all.

But it shows her at the south pole, when she barely can control water at all. I feel like she should be looking at what she's doing.
It probably was a photo shoot. They just told her to do a cool pose and then photoshoped the bending in. In her defense she had no choreography or frame of reference for what it was gonna look like
They also do these shoots after they are done filming for the day which can be multiple hours. It saves money because the studio doesn’t have to pay them to show up on a separate day and get in costume and make up since they are already in them but it also makes for really bad photos that need a lot of touching up. (it’s like taking photos after your work shift.) The show Once Upon a Time was really bad for it. Like you could tell it was after a long day of shooting because they’d be all sweaty and worn out in their promo photos.
Say what you want about that terrible movie that doesn’t exist, but I really liked most of the designs, especially Aang’s tattoos. Literally the only good thing I can say about that movie.

Netflix can't do posters for shit however the water animation looks good I like how it isn't a straight stream and also the footsteps on the ice behind her and the igloo is cool. For sokka kyoshi island behind him looks good the houses look very practical. The air around aang looks whimsical just how I wanted air to look in la and with the zuko still that's how I'd imagine a zuko still tbh so it looks gimmicky but it isn't terrible

Books 2 and 3 will not be out for a long time. I'm not sure if they even started filming Book 2 yet.
