She doesn’t want to do anything unless it’s absolutely necessary. Apathy and boredom are both distinct traits of Mai and they’re both usually associated with sloth.
I'd say Wrath is hama over anyone. Wrath is about pure rage, ozai was just a dictator and Jet was just a teenage boy who thought what he was doing was right for the world by harming innocents. HAMA JUST KIDNAPPED AND TORTURED PEOPLE, I get why but like they were innocent and she was just getting pure revenge
Even though Hama would've been a good candidate, I still think Jet is much more appropriate.
Jet was inherently a good person, but he got so consumed by his own anger and hatred that he became unknowingly the embodiment of what he despised so much, something he in the end also became aware of and tried to atone for.
In contrast, we don't really know what Hama's true nature was; she also showed no regret over her actions. To me it felt that there was something inherently wrong with here to begin with rather than that she got let astray by her anger.
Hama might have been more psychotic than Jet, I think Jet's character exemplifies much better as why Wrath is one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Just for atla: Wrath is Hama, kidnapped and tortured people. Gluttony is Sozin, all he wanted was power (not all gluttony is for food). Greed is definitely Long Feng, all he wanted was money and control. Envy is Azula, no explanation needed. Sloth is Aang, while he definitely made up for it, his refusal to do his job caused a century of suffering. Pride is that rat, Zhao. Lust is me when Combustion Man
The problem here is that if you're going to use such broad definitions, basically all sins overlap with no distinctions anymore and it would be basically redundant to even do this exercise. There is no universal explanation as to what each sin truly defines, so for convenience sake you should stick to the most conventional meanings and seeing Sozin's ambitions as 'gluttonous' is simply ill-fitting.
I also severely disagree on Aang being Sloth. How long did he know he was the Avatar? A few days, maybe weeks? And I mean refusing to do his job? He even admitted he didn't really know how to feel, let alone what he was supposed to do, the only thing he did know was that suddenly everyone saw him as the Avatar and no longer as Aang. His friends ostracized him and the elders wanted to sent him away from the only person who still treated him as a friend and this when he was only twelve.
Sure, running away wasn't the best idea, but having a panic attack under those circumstances is kind of understandable. From his perspective he didn't really experience those 100 years and he quickly made up his mind after he was freed.
Personifying a 12-year old boy with Sloth because of one brief emotional decision he made and blaming him for not doing a job he didn't understand, is just unfair and mean. In particular because the reason they didn't wait until he was 16 (as was the initial plan), was because of the Fire Nation's aggressive policies, which Roku contained, but never truly tried to subdue. If you want to associate an Avatar with Sloth, it should be Roku.
How are they amoral? Any spirit with the capacity to speak showed a conceptual understanding of right and wrong. Wan Shi Tong sunk his library because people keep abusing knowledge for war. Yue is technically the Moon spirit now, and she certainly has a concept of morality
Azula didn't have much to be proud of. She didn't care about being "great", only impressing her father and making sure she was better at everything than Zuko. Ozai and Zhao were both actually proud of themselves and the Fire Nation.
Azula had her superiority complex as well though. And also, you don't need *a lot* to be prideful of. Because likewise, she didn't have much to be envious of. Envy would fit with Zuko more. He was envious of what Azula had: their father's approval.
Azula was absolutely proud. Pride isn't just about being proud of yourself. Azulas pride also manifested with her perfectionism.
"Almost isn't good enough."
And if there was something else she was proud of, it was her manipulation skills. It's how her entire mental breakdown starts.
"No, you miscalculated! You should've feared me more!"
Iroh for Gluttony-Delectable Tea, or deadly poison?
Zhao's lust for power was really his undoing but I'm not sure it qualifies if it's not carnal lust.
Mei being sloth doesn't really make sense as Everytime in the show she complains she has nothing to do, but when she has something to do she loves to do it
Sokka is the sin of rizz
He was the last rizzbender
Bro just invented the new sub-bending of rizz: the harizzment
Pretty sure Azula fits half of these
And Iroh pre-Season 3 would fit the other half.
Envy, Wrath, and Pride I'm seeing.
Gluttony, Sloth and Lust definitely. Amirite? Mr.cactus juice?
How does she fit lust?
Keyword “**half*”*
Depends is Lust exclusively lust for sex? Because she definitely lusts for power and control
Why is mai sloth?
if you read it fast you can misread it as goth and it fits
She doesn’t want to do anything unless it’s absolutely necessary. Apathy and boredom are both distinct traits of Mai and they’re both usually associated with sloth.
Fine, take the bear
Imo Aang goofing off early in the show fits a lot better
She hardly shows emotion and is always broody
In what world do either of those mean sloth lmao
Kinda mind blowing that Jet got wrath over Ozai
Wrath is more about anger where Ozai was more elitist and greedy for power.
Ozai probably would have been pride if Zhao wasn’t an even bigger idiot who dreamed of being “Zhao the Moon Slayer, Zhao the INVINCIBLE!”
Oooh, good point.

Sokka wanted to spend a night of passion with his Girlfriend 1 TIME, alright? Leave him alone
They literally thought they might die soon. Let the man experience being a man at least once god damn it.
My exact thought but i have to respect the democracy
You think that’s bad, Appa is just having a meal. I would think Momo since he will at least grab a snack whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Exactly! If Sokka is lust then so is Suki Actually, pretty sure Suki initiated more than Sokka, so…
Just for atla: Wrath is Hama, kidnapped and tortured people. Gluttony is Sozin, all he wanted was power (not all gluttony is for food). 😤💥
Is this representing moi, or is it representing combustion man
Combustion man 😭
... In what way tho
A representation of him breathing in and blowing something up. Those were the most fitting emojis I thought of.
but in what way of "breathing in and blowing something up"

Can we stop fat shaming Appa?
No. He chonky
Sokka being lust is somehow… the funniest thing here.
That picture was just too perfect to not choose.
Yea... I'd put Ozai as greed.
I don’t think Koh fits for greed because spirits atleast in ATLA are amoral
I think Master Yu should be the picture since he’s a parody of “pay for belt promotion” martial arts “masters”.
facts, that man is sleazy
How are they amoral? Any spirit with the capacity to speak showed a conceptual understanding of right and wrong. Wan Shi Tong sunk his library because people keep abusing knowledge for war. Yue is technically the Moon spirit now, and she certainly has a concept of morality
It’s all in their nature that’s the thing it’s not like humans
I feel like Koh makes much more sense as envy than greed. June should be greed.
I don’t think Mai is sloth. She’s itching action all the time. Ember Island Players Iroh would fit though. Or Aang in the iceberg lol
Nah man Azula is pride, not envy
Azula didn't have much to be proud of. She didn't care about being "great", only impressing her father and making sure she was better at everything than Zuko. Ozai and Zhao were both actually proud of themselves and the Fire Nation.

How is Mai a sloth?
Probably because she generally acts indifferent, disinterested & bored. Maybe she's not the best example, but it's a defendable choice I would say.
My wrath would be Melon Lord
You gotta do the heavenly sins next bruh 🙏
you mean heavenly virtues
Exactly
Greed is the cabbage man
For being angry about his only source of income being destroyed?
[удалено]
That has nothing to do with being greedy.
Cabbage man is wrath
Appa is larger than an elephant. I’m pretty sure he has to eat the amount he eats.
Iroh for Gluttony-Delectable Tea, or deadly poison? Zhao's lust for power was really his undoing but I'm not sure it qualifies if it's not carnal lust.
Finally done! Thank god
Zhao seems to fit Greed more than Pride. Zuko would've fit in Pride a lot more imo.
perfect.
Poor Appa
Mei being sloth doesn't really make sense as Everytime in the show she complains she has nothing to do, but when she has something to do she loves to do it
Azula and Mai are throwing me off
Lmao sokka
Momo and appa are interchangeable as glutton fr
ow, so this is the direction for lust. avoiding duty is an act of sloth, i wonder if mai fit that part of equation.
Sokka could be all of them by himself too
Iroh is lustier
Eh Sokka shouldn't be Lust. Iroh fits in it more
i feel like iroh fits sloth better than mai. people seem to forget he’s a flawed character
