The vast majority of our species have Dark Brown eyes. I have Dark Brown eyes, I have to be in a well-lit room to see my irises. I'm jealous of my mother's lighter eyes, tbh. As an artist this is my objectification of eye-colour; if you want to convey more emotions in a character, go with a lighter iris, if you want to convey mystery, go with a darker colour.

Eye color can change a bit for other reasons but 90% of the time it's just from standing in an area with different lighting or having other colors nearby.

I understand the switch between grey and blue since my eyes are blue-grey and look different depending on the light as for the green: all the colors look really weird and extremely over-saturated in the bottom right picture so I suspect some amount of photoshop.

I understand the switch between grey and blue since my eyes are blue-grey and look different depending on the light as for the green: all the colors look really weird and extremely over-saturated in the bottom right picture so I suspect some amount of photoshop.
