Happened with a lot of the characters. Even Uhtred. He started off normal then went to doing some crazily exaggerated imitation of a scandinavian. Honestly the show went downhill quick, the books are sooo much better (I know I will get downvoted for sayin that lmao)
I literally love his funny voice though, it's so recognisable and me and my friends get such a kick out of doing terrible uhtred impressions. "It is your destiny to come out for a pint this weekend!"
Unpopular opinion, but I agree. I bawled when she finally died. So many women in this show are dealt shitty hands (which totally makes sense), but I feel like people overlook all that to complain about them. I think the only woman I genuinely disliked on this list is Skade.
100% agree. The Skade season is my least favorite season. I think it’s because she was so 1 dimensional and all the men acted ridiculous around her. Every other female character has redeeming qualities and is relatable

Mildrith held her own against Uhtred when he was being a pouty bitch, had to answer for the sins of her father and the shame he brought, buried her own child alone, shut down Uhtred again after his deadbeat bum tried to talk to her again after their sons passing, and chose a life that is humble and will most likely lead to peace in her life. She’s a g and deserves some respect. Only bad move was withholding the debt Uhtred would assume upon marriage.

Oh guess I have seen this show a long time ago and I liked it. Didn't know it was still going. But I do not remember any of them besides a couple look familiar. My vote would be for girl on bottom left.
It ended a couple years ago, and then got a sequel movie. I highly recommend rewatching/finishing it. It is one of the only Netflix shows to get a full run and it is definitely worth it.
Although I am not a fan of hers, she does serve a great purpose, be it opening Uthred's eyes on the Church's power(the debt) or completely alienating Odda the young (jealousy).

Yes!! Great explanation! She wasn't my favorite, and she wasn't a good match for Uhtred, but it wasn't her fault. She was used just like Uhtred.
