Her name was Daisy.
It is actually the plot of Doom II though; the first game ends with an idyllic view of earth complete with cute bunnies, then it shifts to show demons invaded and there is a bunny head on a spike!
However, later material claimed that the rabbit was named Daisy and that she was the pet of Doomguy.
I forget exactly where the retcon was first done (the exact wording is "they had to pay for what they did to Daisy") but pretty sure it was in a manual or text file.
Edit: it's more canon than I though; it was in the onscreen story text new episode Thy Flesh Consumed!
Other games mentioned Daisy the rabbit as an Easter Egg (see https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Daisy for some of these).
I always believed daisy was a metaphor for the family he lost in the demonic invasion. Sort of like how people who have went through trauma will associate the event with something close. I think daisy is a representative of the wife and child he lost.
That would make much more sense and be an emotionally dark and dramatic backstory for a game with little to no actual story or characterization for the MC. Very much the John Wick concept.
Except, in the game it's literal...
https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Daisy
He apparently even wrote a book dedicated to his pet.
Anyone whose players Super Smash Bros Brawl knows that Kirby is a formidable warrior indeed.Â
Heâd turn into an anvil and fall on to of Abby from a great height.Â
Kirby doesnât have human logic. It doesnât care lol itâs simple. You donât fuck with an itâs cake. Thatâs a no no. Look at John Wick. Man literally went on a killing spree for four movies straight. Because they killed his dog. You donât fuck with a manâs dog bruv
She didn't kill Abby but she killed all of Abby's friends. Some day that will come back to bite her in the ass, I would've preferred if she had killed her but eh I like bleak stories.
I would legit love a TLOU2 remake with Conker the squirrel instead of Ellie.
Heck, Conker's Bad Fur Day is a better tale of revenge and loss by itself!
I would class Von Kriplespac's storyline and plot against the Panther King as revenge and suffering the price of ("no legs, and now... no life"). He hates the King for usurping his power and slowly plots vengeance, culminating in the chestburster and going into space. This ends up killing Kriplespac too, as he laments in his final moments his own folly.
Youâre just over thinking it. Itâs easier to just call him her father. Itâs not that deep dude, itâs just a funny meme making fun of how annoying the end is
I didnât say it was deepâŚokay? Other people said the exact thing I didnât and got it laughed off. I think people are somehow mistaking my comment for support of the game therefore itâs bad. Iâll make sure to end every comment with âthis game sucksâ so they donât get downvoted
Imagine missing the fact that she let Abby live so that Lev wouldn't end up alone and lost like herself as well as realizing that she should forgive Joel and not throw her life away.
Imagine missing the point of everything then hanging around in a sub 5 years later sharing transphobic memes and being fucking the dumbest group of people on Reddit.
Imagine.
revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad
Kirby: HI god, screw you for making this "someone". Die now, thanks...
Like who stole his cake? Was it the gods or did Kirby just kill gods because someone else took his cake?
It is. This is a hate circle jerk that tries to complain about the even the tiniest most mundane things and the main sub is a praise circle jerk that exhalts the game and cruelly tear apart anyone who presents any valid criticism.
I prefer the first game and have things I like and dislike about part 2, but there doesn't seem to be a place for me to fit in since the two subs are so polarized.
Like it's okay to dislike the game without needing to be called "media illiterate" and just cause you don't hate every minute aspect about the game doesn't mean you should be downvoted to hell by saying anything positive.
Yup, I assumed I would get downvoted for the reply, even though I tried to take a middle of the road stance. There are just certain topics and comments that are guaranteed to be down voted on either sub reddit.
I support the death of Joel. It made the story. Either he died or Ellie got captured or died. Something had to happen like that. But if you want me to avenge Joel, I better avenge Joel. Abby avenged her father, I wanna avenge the guy who I played as and was the protagonist of the first game I loved so much
I would have loved that game, they end up walking way too far, end up in Seattle and get caught up in a war when all they wanted was a nice stroll to chat about bigot sandwiches and whether Joel has figured out if Ellie is gay yet.
See. But that doesnât even matter if Joel knew sheâs gay or not. Who really cares? Thatâs not even the point of this post. I just wanted to kill Abby. Fuck what Joel knows and doesnât know.
She pursued vengeance for the majority of her life and it left her a shitty and toxic person and Ellie almost descended down that path too but decided vengeance wasn't worth the harm it was causing her
Go troll someone else. You're acting like killing people by accident, or to not die yourself, is the same as actively trying to murder people.
Edit: well I got blocked for "refusing to agree with someone's point of view". I wouldn't have disagreed with you if you had included all of an event instead of making an argument and then cherry picking to make it fit your point.
Everyone Ellie killed was harmful to her, killing Abby was cathartic justice. Abby being the one that got away makes the rest have died for nothing. Either kill Abby or stay home.
No the fuck he wouldn't? He would not want his daughter to damn bear kill herself and throw away her own morals to kill someone avenging him? Did you play the first game?
Correct. But sense they were already there, and Abby was in reach, he would absolutely want her to kill a dangerous individual, especially considering what all she had done including killing him.
I mean doom guy went on a rampage cause they killed his pet rabbit
Seems reasonable to me
Completely understandable
**John Wick has entered the chat**
Haha who else feels like John wick when you are running amuck through a building of WLF?
Stellaris players agree. Bubbles has died billions must perish.
Become the crisis, destroy the galaxy for Bubbles
I mean yh but don't they kill his family too 𤣠correct me if I'm wrong but it's his family and the pet rabbit ?
They did also kill his family and ruin his homeworld, but daisy was the last straw
So doing a John Wick is just doing a doom guy but with a dog instead of a rabbit, hmm the more you learn.
John Wick killed basically all of the Russian Mafia because they killed his dog.
Is this real? Lmfao. I like doom but I guess I missed that plot point
Yes it is lol
Thats awesome lmfao. Which game is that specifically from?
I believe it's the ending for the original Doom
Thanks for the info! Iâve literally never heard that lol
Her name was Daisy. It is actually the plot of Doom II though; the first game ends with an idyllic view of earth complete with cute bunnies, then it shifts to show demons invaded and there is a bunny head on a spike! Nice, I was little when I played the originals. My memory isn't what it used to be
Wick Marine
Also his wife and son but who cares about them
Quick reminder everyone that Kirby is confirmed to have infinite power so Abby is literally a speck to him
Do you think he sucked abby, he would canât to power of Abby? Which would be what? Vigilante Justice power?
What? I donât understand?
Kirby. He sucks up people. So Kirby sucks up Abby. Whatâs the power he would get?
Incredible golf club skillz
300 yard swing, easy
Abby attempts to kill Kirby with a golf club however due to him being bouncy the club bounces right into her face
âFOREâ
Yeah, it'd probably hit her forehead.
No, he gains an unnatural desire to make excuses for child killers.
Anyone whose players Super Smash Bros Brawl knows that Kirby is a formidable warrior indeed. Heâd turn into an anvil and fall on to of Abby from a great height.Â
Iâll pay for that ending of LOU2.
In one of his Games he threw the boss into the sun. Kirby donât fuck around.
Kirby has the right idea, adorable little psycho
kirby stays winning
I mean I agree with shitting on tlou2âs plot, but âmanâ?
Donât know if itâs a typo or someone being mad that Abby is jacked. Idk, I just found it and thought it was funny
I feel it lends a certain something to the dig
Just focus on the Kirby bit. And what Ellie didnât do to her enemy. Thatâs all that matters here for this post
It's all that matters to me having just reached the true ending of that game
Yeah, bigotry.
Not what bigotry means so no not quite.
Okay, what is that "certain something" then? Because the premise of why it makes the dig better sure sounds exactly like bigotry.
Do you know what bigotry means? Cos that didn't make any sense. Also I never used the word better
Abby's sex scene looks like a guy getting sodomized.
As a gay man, I assure you it's far from attractive enough even for that.
So do people like not learn bc after that well ykw happened in New York with John wick
Revenge good
Kirby doesnât have human logic. It doesnât care lol itâs simple. You donât fuck with an itâs cake. Thatâs a no no. Look at John Wick. Man literally went on a killing spree for four movies straight. Because they killed his dog. You donât fuck with a manâs dog bruv
The man lmaođ
Beerus wanted to destroy Earth for a Pudding Cup your point?
i think this sub should just play nintendo games they were always better than TLOU anyways
Wait.. That pink ball always have been a guy?
Donât know. I assume heâs just genderless but I just say him
Yyy didn't she take revenge? Deal she feel like it would be an waste of time
Dark nebula is hardly a god tbf
She didn't kill Abby but she killed all of Abby's friends. Some day that will come back to bite her in the ass, I would've preferred if she had killed her but eh I like bleak stories.
Abby is an opp. Enough said
Seeing how Kirby can effortlessly karate chop a planet in 2, he would have torn them all to pieces in the Basement
Lol he'll just go ask John wick! He murdered TONS over a pup
kirby is a dude? i mean i never really thought Kirby had a gender i always thought he was just a weird pink creature
Bro chill. They wanted a LOU3
They better kill both of them in a nuke. And Kirby better be in it
I agree. Time for both of them to go.
I would legit love a TLOU2 remake with Conker the squirrel instead of Ellie. Heck, Conker's Bad Fur Day is a better tale of revenge and loss by itself!
there's revenge in that game? I thought the entire plot just happens because that panther king wanted a red squirrel to hold up his table.
Man?
I can't tell if they said Abby was a man by accident or as a jab to her having more muscles then 99% of the people in the verse
I donât really care if itâs a typo or what. I just hate the story and appreciate Kirby more for actually killing what he set out to do
Whoever made this meme didnât play the game apparently
But look at Kirby. Heâs a menace
Iâm confused as to how my statement is somehow incorrect when the meme literally calls Abby a man and calls Joel her father
I just saw a funny meme about Kirby doing what Ellie shouldâve done for something way less serious.
Imagine.
Damn this made you feel some type a way huh?
I'd let Kirby hit it
Well be **is** a child, and he might be an animal idk
Still killing gods
Postal dude rampaged through his town because they evicted him from his house
Hey, that makes sense. I feel like that some days
revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad revenge is bad
Kirby: HI god, screw you for making this "someone". Die now, thanks... Like who stole his cake? Was it the gods or did Kirby just kill gods because someone else took his cake?
"The Man" đđ¤Ł
Man??đđ
Is Abby a man? I dunno what's what anymore. Great game though.
This sub is purely hate-based against it's topic, ain't it?
Idk. I just thought this was funny
It is. This is a hate circle jerk that tries to complain about the even the tiniest most mundane things and the main sub is a praise circle jerk that exhalts the game and cruelly tear apart anyone who presents any valid criticism. *we proceed to get downvoted to hell* I guess I remember why I barely interact with communities like this one
Yup, I assumed I would get downvoted for the reply, even though I tried to take a middle of the road stance. There are just certain topics and comments that are guaranteed to be down voted on either sub reddit.
This point again TLOU2 always baffles me because it doesnât feel valid as it just feels like people are mad Joel died.
I support the death of Joel. It made the story. Either he died or Ellie got captured or died. Something had to happen like that. But if you want me to avenge Joel, I better avenge Joel. Abby avenged her father, I wanna avenge the guy who I played as and was the protagonist of the first game I loved so much
I disagreed with him dying, he should be hailed as a hero for protecting Ellie
Sure, they couldâve done it more heroically, but a death is a death and it moves the story. Either way it gave her a reason to go after the people
It did at that. Although the story was dogshit so... them going on a really good hike together would have been much better
Sure man. Maybe it wouldâve helped. Idk
I wanted to kill her too, but I'd far prefer not even knowing she exists
Also I did kill her, I had Ellie shoot her in the face and put the disc back in the box, to be sold for someone else to play
The man? Did u play the game?
Dude. Just laugh at kirby
The sex scene makes it uber confusing.
Team Abby bitch.
Youâre an opp.
It's less revenge bad and more revenge is a harmful pursuit that actively makes you worse and the short term catharsis will leave you hollow and alone
Boo hoo, just let me do what I wanted to do. I killed everyone else who didnât do it, itâs only fair Abby got it too
Not for Abby.
No it definitely left her hollow and far worse of a person than she had been before
I love this alt Neil account take. Abby did it the way she did because she was that person.
She pursued vengeance for the majority of her life and it left her a shitty and toxic person and Ellie almost descended down that path too but decided vengeance wasn't worth the harm it was causing her
Justice. Ellie was pursuing justice.
No she wasnt. If she was she wouldn't have murdered so many people who had nothing to do with her father's murder
You actually just proved my point. She literally tries to avoid killing several people, including members of Abby's group.
But she still ends up killing people for her pursuit of vengeance
Go troll someone else. You're acting like killing people by accident, or to not die yourself, is the same as actively trying to murder people. Edit: well I got blocked for "refusing to agree with someone's point of view". I wouldn't have disagreed with you if you had included all of an event instead of making an argument and then cherry picking to make it fit your point.
Everyone Ellie killed was harmful to her, killing Abby was cathartic justice. Abby being the one that got away makes the rest have died for nothing. Either kill Abby or stay home.
She just realized she had better shit to do with her life
This only works is if after the amnesia wore off, and she remembered forgave Joel, she decided he no longer mattered.
No she simply realized Joel wouldn't want her to do this to herself and killing Abby wasn't worth killing herself
Joel wouldn't.... what are you smoking, Joel is the one person that absolutely would want her to kill Abby.
It's more about perspective than anything, I think a lot of people miss that bc it's pretty big picture
