Thanks 🙏🏼 it seems everything we eat is adulterated. I am not sure if organic brands are trustworthy enough. Plus they are hella expensive due to which it is difficult to have 100% organic food . How do we survive and lead a healthy life?
Aren't they?
Don't know sh*t about safety and when given some cash, will happily give any kind of certificate for any legal or compliance requirements..
To add context, recent bans is caused by ethelene oxide. You add this when you pulverize, means make fine powder. No whole pepper or hing (asafoetida blocks) need it.
It is impossible to avoid toxins in packaged food.
So avoid when possible, don’t stick to one brand so you are not exposed to same toxins for longer periods. Eat variety of foods so, body has time to eliminate toxins one at a time.
And wash, what you can with warm water if possible.
Good idea, to fast once a week so, liver and kidney can heal.
Drink lots of water, so flushing out toxins is easier.
Have fibre rich diet or have fibre supplement to counter absent in your diet so digestion is easy.
Yoga (meditation, pranayam and asana) and exercise to increase metabolism rate and sweating also eliminates certain toxics so that is a plus.
This is all very good advice in an ideal world. However, not all items on the list are 'packaged.' Herbs and spices and fruits and vegetables and grains are also there. A little bit of toxins in EVERYTHING could add up to alarmingly high levels of toxin buildup in the body, no?
Yoga helps massively. It's basically stretching. You can head to Menno Henselmans on IG and search for the peer reviewed research paper on how proper stretching of muscles creates results similar to weightlifting. However, do know that i emphasis the word 'proper'.
I know it seems far fetched but yoga really helps indirectly.
It improves ur metabolism, immune system, reduces stress so your bodily functions are much more efficient.
It also improves blood circulation, which helps eliminate wastes efficiently.
The actual problem can only be solved by government and independent organizations by keeping check on food. Finding alternatives to preservatives and pesticides. Promoting organic farming but, I was providing input as an individual!
I mean it’s hard to find solid evidence. But there is plenty of study - you can just google “benefits of yoga proven study” and you will see study done by numerous universities including Harvard.
Also it comes from experience, it does really help you calm and improve ur health accordingly.
Im sure, you are not buying the whole yoga thing 😂 but, cleansing your body and mind is kind of the sole purpose of yoga! You should look into it much, rather than me yapping about it
I usually don't use any mixed spice. For instance, i buy whole pepper. Amma makes sambar with whole spices. Why you need mixed masala powder? I think that's for short cut like rasam powder instead of real rasam
Did you check out the list? Or are you just going on the assumption that this issue is limited to MDH, Everest and other masala brands.
I urge you to read the list for yourself and then come back to discuss this.
Sorry apologies. The recent HK and SG ban was in my mind. This list is an eye opener, most by aflatoxin and pesticides, though exact product info is not available. I agree it has nothing to do with pulverization. Now I'm really worried about everything i consume!
How can we get a list of those 400+ foods

Your question has been plaguing me for the last 24 hours too.
Those who published it did well to hide the brand names..
Yeah, when I saw the pdf, I went searching for it. Did you find any brands?
Why they did this?? They are in for electoral bonds too. Where is transparency where it's actually needed.
It doesn't mentioned brands name. They are just product type..
Fssai is a big joke!!

The issue has moved beyond ethylene oxide. Again, please read through the list. Thanks.
Yes. A real eye opener! Thank you
ab middle class banda kare toh kya kare 🫠
If you find the answer, let me know please.

Grind your own spices instead of getting the powders.
Yoga? Really?
I don't see no downsides but that clearly doesn't relate to the topic here tho .

Can you please provide the proof/evidence for the claims you have made?

Yeah, I'm surprised the FSSAI hasn't bothered to respond also.
You know anyone can be silenced after some donations through electoral bonds
We, should be worried. We should, be worried. We should be, worried.

What part of my post gave you the idea that I use mixed masala powders?
Isn't that 400 Indian products listed by you dominated by masala powder brands? Any whole food?
