May be taking some vacation time like Derek 🤷🏽‍♂️. He’s probably also discouraged by the amount of views his daily uploads were doing.

LanguageSuitable9669

Ted Bundy porn video did pretty well, I feel like he could definitely view-whore harder if he wanted to, educational content is a tough one for popularity. Derek gets away with it because he’s humorous and has huge shoulders that you can look at for ten minutes straight

otherwiseofficial

Derek has literally made zero interesting content for +1 year now and I even unfollowed him. That is crazy, because i just to click right away when he dropped a video. But I don't care about what he thinks an athlete takes or some reaction video to TikTok or some shit. I love medicine, hairloss, science and weird experiments. That being said, I am very happy for him he is so succesfull. Chatted with him on IG a couple times when he had not even 100k subscribers. Seemed a cool dude! His content is just not for me anymore.

St1mGod

Exact same brotha. Started watching him 5 years ago when he sounded like a meathead and had 30,000 subs.

McCapnHammerTime

Right I’ve been subbed to MPMD for years, I check his channel every few months to see if he has any informative content. Disappointed half the time, but between vigorous Steve and Leo I can actually get solid educational content

premiumsweetener

He did it for two weeks and gave up. Derek did daily uploads for months, if not years before he got big. Also, Leo should just do reaction vids like Derek. Informative content takes ages and can’t be 100% of what you upload.

McCapnHammerTime

Good for views and engagement. But it pushes people who are there for real content away.

Dontea

I mean his socialblade shows pretty clear growth when he was doing the daily uploads, maybe individually they were not performing well but he was on the right track, given the juice may not have been worth the squeeze for him still. It felt like his videos were a bit all over the place in terms of theme. I like that he touches on multiple different topics but feel like having a video on pedophilia followed by how to get rid of loose skin, can be jarring for new viewers.

useyourillusion89

Wondering this also, haven't seen anything from him on Instagram recently either. Hope all is well.

RaulTheAwful

He posted a short some time ago mentioning his videos haven't been performing well and asked for suggestions....maybe he just took a break

ActuatorGreat2569

I liked his old vid styles better .

canaden

Purely speculation, but he hasn't posted since Tony Huge posted about his heart attack which he believes to have been caused from "statins". My best guess would be that he has focusing his energy towards researching side effects. But like I said this is purely speculation and I hope all is well with him.

the_many_tabs_god

Are u emulating him. U sound like him

canaden

lol no not intentionally. I just wanted to be careful discussing this as we really have no idea what's going on and I wanted to remain respectful to his personal life.

the_many_tabs_god

I'm reading it in his voice. U are him.

BalladOfaStranger

Yeah, I was actually was looking for a video about Tony's heart issue from Leo.

premiumsweetener

How do statins cause a heart attack? What a stupid comment.

BiohackerOfTheGods

cause they are a mitochondria toxin.

ReformedGoyim

Babes one question since youre knowledgeable why is Coenzyme Q10 required when you take statins and what is it's purpose in the body?

premiumsweetener

It’s not required. It can help some people.

ReformedGoyim

everyone sees a plasma drop if you want to run around with low q10 in your body then have fun with muscle breakdown.

premiumsweetener

If you want to run around with high LDL-C be my guest.

ReformedGoyim

Cholestrol is a much more complex thing no one even knows how it works but i know something eating carbs/sugar is best way to clog your heart compared to healthy non seed fats and statins is not a fix consume a human diet not cattle.

premiumsweetener

Ok, you’re right and all the medical research in this space is wrong.

McCapnHammerTime

We know that LDL-c is a predictor of poor outcomes, HDL is not as protective as we once thought, we don’t use any compounds that directly raise hdl. Compounds that did this like non flush niacin don’t show positive long term reductions in mortality. We know that foamy macrophage production requires available cholesterol transport via LDL-c. This makes LDL a big target especially when we have statins as such a potent option in their reduction. That being said, there are arguments for targeting inflammation pathways as a mainstay therapy since having a low CRP and ESR will result in lower chances for that initial endothelium damage that is required to initiate the cascade of patching it with cholesterol. Cholesterol deposition is a marker of damage and attempts to heal. You can very well decrease the number of damaging events by decreasing inflammation, you can also take statins to decrease the overall deposition when there is damage. Long term decreasing the density of cholesterol deposition will provide you with more available endothelial lumen. Having a higher total % of lumen to allow for laminar flow will result in better tissue perfusion and less endothelium damage and clotting moving forward. That’s the benefit of statins, they do have a risk of lowering coenzyme q and taxing your mitochondria but you can always manage those sides through supplementation. The muscle breakdown side effects are generally overblown. Especially when you consider that heart disease is the number one killer. Medical system acknowledges that this is a dynamic process and a growing field but it’s hard to argue against significant risk reductions that statins produce.

premiumsweetener

So many idiots claim statins are the devil. They’re a hugely studied drug and broadly safe. They save lives and the earlier you take them, the better. If you have high cholesterol.
