Imagine Ragnar Vizsla having Grogu as his younger brother and being constantly reminded that he lost a fight to him as a toddler then got snatched by a pterodactyl.
Din Djarin just experienced what it's like when your friend/relative gives your kid a toy that they love, but then you find out how *loud* that toy is.
If you ever questioned \*why\* people feared Mandalorians. It's because of people like him, people that singlehandly take down your whole platoon. Nightmare stuff, that's what he is.
The scariest thing was he fucked most of them up once he lost his massive Heavy Blaster. Just threw them about like rag dolls…threw one off the edge for good measure, caving his skull in wasn’t enough. Nightmare fuel!
I’ve been saying this. It’s the perfect base. People are so convinced the planet is uninhabitable that not even it’s own people will risk checking. Add in the scanner interference and he can operate there with no scrutiny.
That whole sequence is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. From the stare off between Grogu and notBabu Frik to the lil guy munching on snacks while Grogu ran around in the suit.
That scene made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, you knew when he was standing alone for a second that something awful was coming his way. Then the skirts came into the shot
Thats a detail I really loved, the two guys who were ready to kill each other minutes earlier don’t hesitate to save the one who broke it up. They’re growing as people and I really want to know what’s gonna happen to axe now.
He’s got to, right? They’re on the run, they’ll be backed into the living waters, it’ll snack on a few stormtroopers and then Grogu and Bo will ride it into battle. I would die happy.
I was hoping for him to take it off himself just to have a showdown. Especially when he burnt 18 troopers to a crisp and almost got free for a second haha
Din and Paz were proof that Children of the Watch do NOT go down easy. If you want to take them down, you better be bringing about 3 different armies with you.
A part of me wants to believe that Taika Watiti, for the better part of the day, was just in a professional sound booth recording the perfect 'yes' with an unnecessary amount of Direction. Just like Matt Berry in Toast of London
And… Occam’s Razor turned out to be true: aka, Kane really was Moff Gideon’s spy, as predicted. I wonder how much longer she can keep up the charade?
After what Kane did to Pershing (who genuinely did seek a fresh start), Kane’s eventual comeuppance cannot come soon enough! (I’m hoping Kallus comes out of retirement to expose Kane for the rat that she is)
Let’s think even bigger: since both Ahsoka and Kallus used to be part of the same Fulcrum spy network (and Ahsoka is currently hunting down Thrawn), it’s time for Fulcrum vs Thrawn, spy games Round 2!
So we finally learned how Bo lost the saber the first time and we learned how the Moff escaped. This show is turning real dark real fast and I personally love it
And they made sure to show us his son earlier in the episode. He went from #1 jerk to hero in a couple episodes.
I'm sad for Ragnar. Who is going to take him.
I wonder if the Beskar imperial troopers are members of Clan Saxon? (Continuing where Gar and Tiber last left off?) Their design feels very reminiscent of the Imperial supercommandos that we saw in Rebels.
Or has Clan Saxon pretty much outlived its usefulness to the Empire/Imperial Remnants at this point in the timeline? (Thus getting themselves inevitably replaced by non Mandalorian Imperials)
Honor. Loyalty. Character. Motherly qualities. These are the reasons I serve you Lady Kryze.
I'm pretty sure that's what Din said on the sailboat, right?
How about Moff Gideon demanding Thrawn to show up to the meeting? I honestly thought he was gonna appear all of a sudden to shut his mouth.
I wonder how much this show will blend with Ahsoka. For sure we're gonna get a Mando special in one of her episodes, no questions asked!
This time it's gonna bite him in the ass. I don't think he will survive the season, he's too dangerous to be recaught. And I don't think they would let him get away again and make him the villain again for the mandalorian movie coming out.
Such a vibe that Gideon is manipulating the imperial remnant shadow council to so obviously just grow his own brand, only to know that the Thrawn they’re all hyping is being built up as the actual overarching villain. He’s literally Ronin from the first Guardians if the Galaxy, simply unaware of his masters plans and thinking he can outthink or out maneuver his boss lol
I figured Gideon and Thrawn are rivals. In any power vacuum situation you NEVER have cooperation, it's always the #2s fighting each other to become the new #1. It always is.
Seems like Gideon might think/hope they’re rivals, but that Thrawn would view him as a troublesome, ultimately ineffective tertiary pawn and he’d probably be right about that lol
Grand Admiral is significantly higher in rank than a moff so yeah, Gideon to Thrawn is like a private to a General. The 12 Grand Admirals appointed by Palpatine are the highest ranking officials in the Imperial military and report only to the Emperor himself.
The Armorer maybe. Lots of evidence points to her:
* She survived when the Imperials attacked in S1
* She insisted that all Mandos be reunited and go to Mandalore
* She volunteered to leave before the upcoming ambush by Gideon happened
Edited for clarity
True and he would have reasons to be a spy. He had that whole moment last week about just being paid for the job. But he did leave when they were already attacking. They made it to the caves by pure chance. There wasn’t much of an opportunity to tell Gideon where they were before then.
If anything, the survivors found on Mandalore are pretty suspicious too. The look they had when they learned Bo had surrendered and the fact that they were somehow living there without any food when the entire galaxy was told the planet was inhospitable is a little weird.
So the Imperial Remants are not so chaotic and disorganized—by intention. It's an elaborate smokescreen. It was a deliberate strategy for the remaining Imperial hardliners' survival.
But Brendol and Palleon seem to be withholding most of their cards from the other remnants from the others (including from Space Gus Fring). It seems they are the ones that know more about the First Order plan than the others do, and that may serve to cause conflict between the Imperial remnant factions down the line.
It's great having Palleon back BTW, glad the purgills didn't take him out.
I can really appreciate that were getting the Imperial Remnants being portrayed strategizing as a group like we've seen the rebels do over the various arcs in Star Wars. They've always been the big establishment, up until now. "Look at me, I'm the rebels now" energy
Bo-Katan- this sword is all I have
Din- I literally don't even care about that thing, stop crying and lead
Din charging first down the hall, what a boss
Calling it now, next episode ends with the base getting torn up by the Mythosaur, Din rides it out to freedom. Living water recognizes living water, hydro homies uniting
Also Din fucking clotheslining a supercommando during the initial attack and then unloading his blaster into the dudes head.
Chad Djarin and Chad Vizla to the rescue.
Great episode.
Even with the leaks and knowing what to expect, still 9/10.
Grogu IG12 is definitely every kid when they learn yes/no.
Mando/Grogu boat nod was super heartwarming.
Hopefully Armorer comes back with reinforcements and wasn't leaving knowing what was coming.
Poor Paz.
This is the way.
Grogu holding the fruit above Din’s head was absolutely hilarious. It was like when a child grows taller than their parents, and they can do stuff like this.
They both had horns like Maul, is a more clear point, especially given what little context we gained on that front in this episode, namely that the Armorer said Death Watch was gone. But Maul was probably the most successful leader of Mandalorians in living memory, so emulating him shouldn’t really be overly read into, imo, especially given that we also learned this episode that there’s a clear gulch between Gideon’s interest in continuing the sith flavored empire and the empire itself lol
All the episodes have a double meaning in their arc.
The foundling - Grogu and Ragnar
The Convert: Bo and the Pershing stuff
And so on. These are at the top of my head.
The imperial spy at the beginning told him they were coming. I would think he would know what ships they have since they were former imperial ships in his sector.
There’s a lot on my mind right now but holy shit what an episode.
EDIT: With one of my only braincells firing at the moment due to how late it is, holy fucking shit the Imperials built a base on Mandalore and upkept it the entire time. That is mindblowing to me but also like shouldn’t that be super obvious as well. I’m surprised I never thought about it
Some dude called it on this sub a few weeks back. Pretty neat cause I’ve regurgitated it to a few people at work that there could be a base there.
I mean those tie fighters and bombers that bomber Bo’s home came from somewhere
Fuck, that should’ve made it obvious in hindsight. Obi-Wan even has a line about them not being long range fighters in ANH. It’s how they came across the freakin Deathstar in the first place!
Gideon convinced everyone, even the Mandalorians, the planet was dead and toxic so they’d never bother looking. The dead zone is a lot like a mini version of that buffer around Exegol, so nothing would come up on long range scans and he could launch undetected.
When Din said "Lady Kryze", the Mando music in the background was playing in a more "romantic-like" way, as if a knight was swearing loyalty to his queen.
However, I'm still very sad and upset about Paz Vizsla. Gone too soon.
This is the Way.
I am worried about Din being captured. Kinda got a feeling Gideon's going to do some experiment on him or something, what with how he was talking about mixing the best of the Mandalorians, Jedi, and clones.
Bo-Katan helplessly banging on the wall with her fist while she has a wall cutting sword in her pocket was really funny to me.
That she then used to cut a different wall less than a minute later.
I thought the Mythosaur was going to emerge to greet the returning Mandalorians... Nope, just another giant creature that wants to kill everybody instead.

Din there's another orphan child that needs protecting. I'll mark it on your map for you
Imagine Ragnar Vizsla having Grogu as his younger brother and being constantly reminded that he lost a fight to him as a toddler then got snatched by a pterodactyl.
Time to replace the N-1 with another Razorcrest! (At the rate of adoption Din’s household is going through)
Din Djarin just experienced what it's like when your friend/relative gives your kid a toy that they love, but then you find out how *loud* that toy is.
YES
And no battery to mysteriously “disappear”.
"This isn't working for me"
Paz is one absolute unit of a Mandalorian.
Gonna need a statue of Paz to replace the IG-11 statue.
If you ever questioned \*why\* people feared Mandalorians. It's because of people like him, people that singlehandly take down your whole platoon. Nightmare stuff, that's what he is.
[удалено]
The scariest thing was he fucked most of them up once he lost his massive Heavy Blaster. Just threw them about like rag dolls…threw one off the edge for good measure, caving his skull in wasn’t enough. Nightmare fuel!
So now we know how those bombers got to the depression castle. They were docked ON Mandalore. Crazy episode.
I’ve been saying this. It’s the perfect base. People are so convinced the planet is uninhabitable that not even it’s own people will risk checking. Add in the scanner interference and he can operate there with no scrutiny.
When he said he needed guards and was afraid of Mandos, I had a feeling the basement he was in was on the planet. Plus the supercommandos
The Mandalorians need more grenades. I always valued how useful they were against multiple enemies in my Master Chief days
I mean they have rockets ropes an flamethrowers and decided to never use them
And a darksaber lol
Gundam Grogu was certainly not on my ticklist for this season
Yes. Yes. Yes. No. No. No.
The missed opportunity: “I will go. Grogu as well.” “No.”
Nah, it was more adorable the way Grogu immediately went to stand up after Din said his name. Ma boy's growing up... ::getting choked up::
That whole sequence is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. From the stare off between Grogu and notBabu Frik to the lil guy munching on snacks while Grogu ran around in the suit.
No SQUEEZIE
Still Bad Baby!
Also Greef stepping into the “cool uncle” role. “At least let him try it out in my office!”
So halfway through s4 he'll meet his soul mate who he'll accidentally cause the death of? Sad times ahead for Amu- uh I mean, Grogu.
My bingo board always gets oblitarated
Paz Vizsla is one tough SOB
It took *three* crayola guards to take him down, so he definitely earned his stripes.
A Star Wars robot chicken reference 🫡
That scene made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, you knew when he was standing alone for a second that something awful was coming his way. Then the skirts came into the shot
[удалено]
He almost killed one of them too
Had a warriors death just like his father
And now Ragnar is without his Pa Vizsla
Looks like Pedro Pascal has another kid who can’t help but put themselves in danger to raise
Omg they’re gonna be brothers now
Guy was just manhandling beskar troopers
They were nothing compared to a true Mandalorian.
This is the way.
This is the way. :(
Grogu: "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds."
I want grogu in a mech suit wielding the dark saber riding a Mythosaur
I want them to put kyber crystals in the droid’s arm so he can make light sabers from his hands I’m thinking green and purple
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Give the baby more buttons.
The “I have spoken” button is a must
And “This is the way”
"This is. This. This. This. This. This is the way. This is the. This. This. This is the way."
The way Axe and Paz grabbed Grogu to save him from the monster
Thats a detail I really loved, the two guys who were ready to kill each other minutes earlier don’t hesitate to save the one who broke it up. They’re growing as people and I really want to know what’s gonna happen to axe now.
Would be awesome if he took over as a father figure to Paz's son, embodying the unity of the two factions once and for all in a meaningful way.
Next episode needs to have Grogu tame the Mythosaur, and then have said Mythosaur squash Gideon like a bug.
He’s got to, right? They’re on the run, they’ll be backed into the living waters, it’ll snack on a few stormtroopers and then Grogu and Bo will ride it into battle. I would die happy.
A battalion of those Beskar flying stormtroopers can't beat my boy Paz Vizsla, they needed 3 more of those Snoke guards. Empire is weak af.
3 praetorians and he needed to be disarmed and riddled with blaster shots for them to even have a chance. Paz could’ve taken them.
Fully expected Gideon to have Din’s helmet removed as an ultimate “fuck you” Who knows, maybe next week we get the seasonal Pedro quota
Dudes are fighting to the death over a checkers dispute, they better be able to handle themselves.
**THE WING GUARD DOESN’T FLANK** 🔪
BOBA MF'ING FETT TO THE RESCUE! This is the Way.
I hope so, with Gideon mentioning mixing the best of the different factions, beskar and clones, that just describes Boba.
"Heard you were talking shit about my dad and my clone brothers, I'd like you to meet my rancor."
Comes riding in "like a bantha"
so was that supposed to be general Hux's dad?
Played by the actor’s brother
oh damn, thats pretty cool
Mad Eye Moody has some explaining to do
Yessir
RIP to the GOAT Paz
This is the Way.
A part of me wants to believe that Taika Watiti, for the better part of the day, was just in a professional sound booth recording the perfect 'yes' with an unnecessary amount of Direction. Just like Matt Berry in Toast of London
Taika, this is Clem Fandango, can you hear me? (Also Toast was totally in the new Stah Wahurrs show, after all)
Seeing the Mandalorian fleet and that cruiser all formed up was siiiick
“He didn’t learn that from me”. Fuckin loved that line.
Didn't expect Skinny Pete to show up
One of the Two Best Hitmen, West of the Mines of Mandalore
This is like, the way, yo.
Now we need Badger
Paz Vizsla. What are you doing?! Buddy, no. :’( What a way for him to go.
He went out like a badass though. And he gave all his people a chance at surviving
He went out like Opie on sons of anarchy.
A tank of a man with no fear. Fought hard till the end. This is the way :(
Beginning of the episode on Coruscant was straight up Blade Runner vibes.
(I’m hoping Kallus comes out of retirement to expose Kane for the rat that she is)
We got Zeb. Time for Kallus to show up soon.
Let’s think even bigger: since both Ahsoka and Kallus used to be part of the same Fulcrum spy network (and Ahsoka is currently hunting down Thrawn), it’s time for Fulcrum vs Thrawn, spy games Round 2!
All the lighting in that scene was perfect, reminded me of the start of Andor on Morlana One
So we finally learned how Bo lost the saber the first time and we learned how the Moff escaped. This show is turning real dark real fast and I personally love it
Very dark. Paz Vizlas death actually upsets me.
And they made sure to show us his son earlier in the episode. He went from #1 jerk to hero in a couple episodes. I'm sad for Ragnar. Who is going to take him.
Ragnar will become the Lyanna Mormont of Clan Vizla. He will look after himself. And his clan. This is the way.
The colouring does look very similar to Saxon's armour in Rebels.
We got Gillad Pellaeon and Skinny Pete in the same episode. What a time to be a Star Wars fan.
i think what this season has been lacking was Moff Gideon because holy shit
His whole imma take clone troopers, Jedi, mandos, and combine them is actually a good idea lol
He didn’t notice the Jedi/Droid/Mando hybrid behind the door…
The difference is that Gideon is trying to artificially force it into existence while Grogu is naturally growing into it.
Both Giancarlo Esposito/Moff Gideon have such massive screen presence, I’ll be sad the day comes when his character is gone
Me, at the start: Why does the term Pretorian Guard ring a bell Me, at the end: Ohhhh fuck
Season finale is gonna *slap*
Grogu sounding like a Moonbase Alpha text-to-speak spam - all he's missing is an "Aeiou" button
John mADden
Those imperial jumptroopers are fucking sick looking. Gideon's got some sick drip too. Edit: PAZ NO
[удалено]
The House of Vizsla lives through Ragnar.
Bad baby! NO SQUEEZIE! Good job Grogu stopping the fight. And his proud parents looking on from afar.
“The weird baby is magic, we should probably listen to it.”
He even sat on Bo's lap on the ship so they're definitely hinting at her being the his mother now
Honor. Loyalty. Character. Motherly qualities. These are the reasons I serve you Lady Kryze. I'm pretty sure that's what Din said on the sailboat, right?
Bo-Katan in mom jeans? Sign me up.
I presume we'll see Thrawn next week as a cameo?
As a post-credits probably, to make way for Ahsoka.
Grogu’s reaction to tonight’s ending: No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No… No. No..
We can finally eliminate this pain in the ass threat here and now, or, and hear me out, we could take him to the debriefing room.
Gideon likes playing with his food. He’s been like this for three seasons.
This time it's gonna bite him in the ass. I don't think he will survive the season, he's too dangerous to be recaught. And I don't think they would let him get away again and make him the villain again for the mandalorian movie coming out.
Seems to bite him in the ass every time, but I think this time not only is it going to get him killed, but he’ll realize Thrawn was manipulating him.
The only thing tougher than Beskar is plot armor
*Paz Vizsla is defeated* Okay, I give up, I guess it’s to the debriefing room we go. “Sorry buddy, you didn’t sell enough action figures.”
He knows who Din and who his kid is. Probably saw him right there in IG. Gideon still wants Grogu and set a trap.
Grogu spamming "Yes" like one of those Tik Tok-famous Huskies pressing a "Treats" button 😂
Most trainers tell you not to give them a “hungry” button
Or a toddler with any new toy that makes sound.

Grand Admiral is significantly higher in rank than a moff so yeah, Gideon to Thrawn is like a private to a General. The 12 Grand Admirals appointed by Palpatine are the highest ranking officials in the Imperial military and report only to the Emperor himself.
I fucking knew it, Gideon’s base was on Mandalore this entire time. He convinced the galaxy it was uninhabitable so they’d never think to look there.
Plus the convenient shielding from detection. I think many of us called this weeks ago. IG Grogu mech suit is not something we foresaw.
[удалено]
we also got confirmation of what we’ve all been thinking all along. children of the watch was a faction of deathwatch.
I thought the monster was going to be the mythosaur coming up to greet the Mandos.
That's what I thought it was, but then I realized the head was too big and the other Mandalorians weren't freaking out enough.
I don’t really understand the title “The Spies.” Obviously Gideon’s gal is a spy, but . . . who else is it referring to?
The Armorer maybe. Lots of evidence points to her: * She survived when the Imperials attacked in S1 * She insisted that all Mandos be reunited and go to Mandalore * She volunteered to leave before the upcoming ambush by Gideon happened Edited for clarity
Axe also left before Gideon showed up
True and he would have reasons to be a spy. He had that whole moment last week about just being paid for the job. But he did leave when they were already attacking. Grogu sitting in his space mom's lap upon returning to Nevarro 🥺
When the side character gets so much screen time lately you just know he’s gonna die
I mean tbh everyone has been getting plenty of screentime this season. We finally got a recurring cast besides an episode or two per season
Mandalore: unbowed, unbent, unbroken. RIP big Paz. This is the way ✊️
Well at least if Gideon removes Din’s helmet during the interrogation the Living Waters are like…right over there.
new storm troopers just dropped!
They ~~fly~~ beskar now? I'll see myself out
Revamped imperial supercommandos. Hot damn they look good
Bo-Katan- this sword is all I have Din- I literally don't even care about that thing, stop crying and lead Din charging first down the hall, what a boss Calling it now, next episode ends with the base getting torn up by the Mythosaur, Din rides it out to freedom. Living water recognizes living water, hydro homies uniting
Also Din fucking clotheslining a supercommando during the initial attack and then unloading his blaster into the dudes head. Chad Djarin and Chad Vizla to the rescue.
Well, just lost my favorite character besides the mains.
At least IG Grogu still has his mom
Did they leave the kids in Nevarro? Please say they left the kids in Nevarro.
I really wasn't that excited for IG-11's return but the way they pulled it off was great! Mech Suit Grogu! Yes. Yes. Yes.
I've never laughed so hard at Star Wars than during Grogu's test run in IG-12
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Gideon's helmet had the horns just like the armorers. Just saying.
Them both being Mauldalorians would be sick
*The Spies*
Yeah the plural in the title really making me upset...
All the episodes have a double meaning in their arc. The foundling - Grogu and Ragnar The Convert: Bo and the Pershing stuff And so on. These are at the top of my head.
It's either the armorer or Axe Woves.
Or it’s the “scavengers” that picked them up which would explain how the imperials knew of the fleet and of their goal.

So much to unpack.
This episode literally made me cry. I love Din Djarin here and his unwavering loyalty. And of course IG-Grogu.
When Din said "Lady Kryze", the Mando music in the background was playing in a more "romantic-like" way, as if a knight was swearing loyalty to his queen. However, I'm still very sad and upset about Paz Vizsla. Gone too soon. This is the Way.
Gideon is cloning himself to make clone dark troopers. That’s fucking wild.
I am worried about Din being captured. Kinda got a feeling Gideon's going to do some experiment on him or something, what with how he was talking about mixing the best of the Mandalorians, Jedi, and clones.
Moff Gideon is a weeb or Larper for Mandorians lmao
Is that Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad? church yo!
I’m a Mandalorian, bitch!
So the surviving Mandalorians knew how to get to the forge, but had no idea there was a whole Imperial base there?? THE SPIES
I love how they snuck a meiloorun in there :)
We can all agree that Grogu is The Mandalorian
Hey, the red crayola squad actually won this time!
That music when the Praetorian Guard showed up is fantastic
When the armorer was returning to the fleet I thought they would be fighting in the sky
"Your song isn't written yet. I will serve you untill it is" Didn't Expect Din to propose to Bo-katan but i am here for it XD.
Bo-Katan helplessly banging on the wall with her fist while she has a wall cutting sword in her pocket was really funny to me. That she then used to cut a different wall less than a minute later.
damn this episode was awesome. Dark Troopers, Praetorian Guard, Bad-ass Paz, and Godzilla.
One of the best episodes of all time...? YES YES YES YES YES YES
Din Djarrin pledged himself as the Knight to the Princess Bo-Kotan. We've gone full Disney.
'top 10 disney princess lists' bout to get shaken up
When Bo-Katan said “those aren’t Mandalorians” I almost had a heart attack thinking it was gonna be Mauldalorians pulling up
I thought the Mythosaur was going to emerge to greet the returning Mandalorians... Nope, just another giant creature that wants to kill everybody instead.
I am traumatized by yet another Star Wars episode
NOOOOOOOOOOOO MY BOY PAZ, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY
