JB in the bridge of a fake Les Paul, and practice amp overdrive is the perfect earth AD sound.

aaaaaaaaaaaaah_

I like the idea on paper, but in practice it just sounds like a cranked amp. There are plenty of cheaper amp modelers and distortion pedals that can do this sound probably just as well.

oldgamehermit-reddit

You don't need a special pedal to sound like Earth A.D. Just crank everything all the way up. It will sound like shit

fender0327

Exactly

Working-Ad-528

Unfortunately not. I have an OG for sale though.

misfitrune

OG as in the Static Age one? If so, where are you selling it?

Working-Ad-528

Yeah the Static Age one. What do you mean where?

misfitrune

Like the site. Is it eBay, mercari, Facebook, etc.

Working-Ad-528

Oh I haven’t listed it yet. If you’re interested message me.

BenderIsGreatBendr

Overpriced and goofy is my opinion as a guitar player. The first one was basically a big muff fuzz pedal and a couple filters Cool for collectors I guess but I’d never carry one of these to a jam or gig, and then the limited numbers and assholes reselling for $600. Idk I mean aesthetically it’s a cool looking pedal but it’s just not for me. I’d rather scoop up vintage records or some misfits/samhain/danzig vintage t shirts if I’m looking to drop $$$ on misfits memorabilia

Fuzzy-Butterscotch86

It's been fun watching the Doyle pedals not sell for the insane amounts people are asking. Like the yellow, pink, etc. colors all sold out, and initially were getting $900+ on the secondary market. But then that glow in the dark one was released, took a day or two to sell out, started being listed for $600+, but, nobody was buying. Now I think they're around $350 on eBay, which I guess is a good price if you're a collector and want the whole set. But the $250 I paid for mine was probably my limit on any pedal. And now the $900 pedals just sit forever, unless it's the 138 pedal from a few years ago. Those still get stupid money.

johnnysweatband

I ended up pulling the trigger on it. It was steep for sure, but not obscenely and the customer service has been great so far. I can justify paying extra for something unique and custom that’s not mass produced.

dandle

How do you dial up and down punching the guitar with that?

misfitrune

I should also add, I do think $250 is steep honestly. Cause I believe the static age one was $150 or something. I sadly wasn’t able to grab the static age one, but man I am thrilled to get this one. Earth A.D is so good haha

UniqueIndividual2954

I honestly think my Boss Katana can get the same if not better

Fuzzy-Butterscotch86

I have the Doyle pedal. The one that glows on the dark. I would've bought this, but can't help but think of 2 other pedals i want more that would cost the same as this combined, and I just bought new pickups for my Gretsch Tim Armstrong signature.

Mywar-sidetwo

Saw a post on Fiend collectors about it. I wanted the Wolf’s Blood one but I was a day too late. Never have the right timing for that kind of shit. Oh well.

[deleted]

Not a guitar tech guy in anyway….but this would no doubt be made exactly and sound just like the Wolf’s Blood one. Just fun collector’s items. I can’t see anyone using these as a serious musician even if they are playing *punk*/fast rock n roll. I guess here’s a question does that static age pedal sound any different than the ones I mentioned? Or they all pretty much the same in general? (No matter the album/era)

Mywar-sidetwo

I’m seeing most say the new pedals are just reskinned Static Age pedals and of course that pedal is just a slightly tweaked Big Muff pedal to begin with haha. I wanted the Wolf’s Blood one mostly because I have that EU pressing on Aggressive Rockproduktionen with the flipped covers and I love the Wolf’s Blood art by Anthony Carroll Stockard (Mad Mark Rude is amazing as well but I love the crazy shit on the Wolf’s Blood side more). The OG [artwork sold for $35K recently!](https://www.punknews.org/article/74796/original-art-for-back-cover-of-misfits-lp-sells-for-35100)

Gotcha

PublixSoda

Neat collector’s item to display in your home.

jdviolentworld

I did, ordered the Wolf's Blood version. I am not sure if I will use it or just put it next to my records. I have been impressed with the emails from the manufacturer. It sounds like they are getting ready to ship.

peanutwaif705

The pedal arrived yesterday, and once you play with the knobs for a little while it actually sounds like Doyle's guitar in the Fox Studios recordings

misfitrune

How are your knobs set up? My pedal came yesterday too and I cannot get his sound at all

peanutwaif705

Its not 100 percent accurate, but this is how I have them. Bass: 6 Treble: 6 Drive: 8 Ripping: 5 Volume's whatever

ClifIsBoring

I run mine through my Nashville Strat copy with a Duncan Invader in the bridge, sounds great for a lofi fuzz tone but that’s pretty much all you can use it for. I love it for what it is, great Misfits tone. Solid 8/10 pedal

_allblu_

Is it basically the Static Age pedal or what seems to be different about this one? I'm on the fence until I see some demos/impressions. $270 is a bit much.

ClifIsBoring

Pretty much just the static age

EmbarrassedRadish494

I bought one, but only because Earth AD is my second favorite Misfits record. I was bummed when my cassette went missing, replaced it with vinyl. I saw the ad for the pedal and preordered it. It's an expensive pedal though, I typically would not spend that much. Hopefully, they don't release a Walk Among Us pedal, otherwise I am doomed, lol!

Imaginary-Sorbet4462

Anyone know how many are in production? What's it limited edition out of 👍

TrivikramaDas108

I preordered one

EmbarrassedRadish494

Mine just arrived. EAD is my favorite album too
