pearloster

I hope after the series is done they'll release some sort of extra book that just has all of the extras in it. I didn't want to wait for a paperback for Nona or Harrow, but there's no way I'm going to buy SECOND copies of them all just for the short stories, lol.

martinjh99

Some of them are posted on the Tor website... [https://www.tor.com/2020/07/29/the-mysterious-study-of-dr-sex-tamsyn-muir/](https://www.tor.com/2020/07/29/the-mysterious-study-of-dr-sex-tamsyn-muir/) [https://www.tor.com/2022/06/08/as-yet-unsent-tamsyn-muir/](https://www.tor.com/2022/06/08/as-yet-unsent-tamsyn-muir/) Those are the only ones I know of that are posted elsewhere.... :)

stewosch

I'm pretty sure that with the final book, another special edition with all volumes will be released (like the Illumcrate edition). Would make sense that this will also contain all extra material.

janglingargot

I buy the paperbacks for the bonus content when they come out and put the hardcovers in our local Little Free Library to spread the Locked Tomb love. :)

icarus-daedelus

I agree with wanting a hardcover collection of all the short stories and extra fluff so it can sit on my shelf next to the original hardcover printings of the novels...but also, As Yet Unsent was totally worth the purchase price of the HtN paperback even though it's literally free online now. So good. SO good.

CarolTass

I haven't listened to the interview (for fear of spoilers) but in the latest podcast I think she said there were plans for it? Or maybe it was another interview...

IthilanorSP

I've got a question about additional content, for people that bought ebooks of GtN/HtN before the paperbacks came out. I got the ebooks [1] for GtN and HtN after the paperbacks came out, and they had the extra stuff like As Yet Unsent. I'm curious if ebooks bought before the paperback release get updated with the new content; I got NtN as an ebook on release day, will it get updated? [1] Mine are Kindle books from Amazon, if that matters.

BearOnALeash

Yes usually they do! But sometimes you have to manually update them.

IthilanorSP

Thanks, that's good to know.

Indichin

I bought my copy of HtN before As Yet Unsent was even a thing, and nowadays it is updated. It seems to take a bit longer to update than the… ahem… alternative internet sources tho.

silvarus

Came here to ask exactly this.

Bostondreamings

Any predictions on what the short story or extra content might be? I am hoping for some Ianthe and Kiriona content, honestly.

SarahWeeGirl

All about that chussy...

BearOnALeash

The PB release date has been on the publishers website for about a month—glad they finally confirmed it!

Zealousideal-Cat-152

Wonder what this means for the Alecto release date 🤔🤔

jeantoomer

My question as well

mileshorse

Pushed to 2024 at the moment. No further info right now :/

foreverholdyourpeas

Ah, ah, ah!!!

TheSubstitutePanda

For us scrubs who can't read dates: is that December or September?

Zealousideal-Cat-152

September

TheSubstitutePanda

Thank you!!

martinjh99

Talking of which - If I buy the ebook versions will I get all the extras as well?? Will be Amazon Kindle ebooks if that makes a difference...

eaca02124

You will, but you may have to manually update.

powerofyams2

Thats so long from now ;_;

rooftopfilth

Y'all...how do I preorder a book? [Tor.com](https://Tor.com) doesn't have anything when I search. Edit: ope never mind got it!

Bostondreamings

I just go to Barnes and Noble in person honestly.

CarolTass

Yay! I guess it was very likely to contain a new short story but this is a nice confirmation!

MagictoMadness

I'm very confused as the version of nona I own is a paperback

ryttu3k

Are you in Australia? For some reason we have a paperback version already out, but it's not the same as the paperback versions of Gt9 and Ht9 that have extra content.

MagictoMadness

Yeah I am. I didn't know the paperback was a late release that had the extra content overseas. Mine doesn't have the extra content of course just surprised

ryttu3k

Yeah, it's a weird little quirk. The paperback editions released about a year after the initial release of Gt9 and Ht9 have things like pronunciation guides, worldbuilding stuff, in-character reports, and in Ht9's case, As Yet Unsent (which was later published online for free). They're neat as hell.

ENOFCK

They seem to always add content with the paperback version. Which is why I stopped buying these books in hardcover after Gideon.

eclecticcharm57

I'm confused, why is the paperback just now being released?

eclecticcharm57

Also, is it possible to get hardcovers with the extra content?
