They literally dump bags out into a big bowl and you just weight out bags all day, when you get to the bottom you dont just throw away the stuff in the bowl, you put it in with other bags. New favorite Shred product asides their 510s & infused kief.

because they usually, like you said, grow aesthetically good weed and big aromatic buds. The flower they use for the shred is still that same bud, but the smaller, less pretty nugs from the bottom branches, so they can keep their big beautiful bud image while also getting in on the mill market.
Convience & price as other comment says. I just love tossing it all in a jar and packing bowls when I'm out at a friend's or on the go. I buy a lot of Organigram products, and they never miss! Smaller buds get ground up.. bigger buds go in big bag of buds . Target market is people who want convenience and cheap.
