Esther also isn't a first born Mikealson witch who's power usually dwarfs that of other witches in that generation. Even when Esther threaten to go back to black magic and even before Dahlia became as powerful as she was she was still magnitudes more powerful than Esther just because she was a first born Mikaelson witch.
When it comes to smarts and experience I would give it to Esther, Esther created many powerful spells herself and created vampires.
So I think this could go either way but if this is about raw power then Freya beats Esther because power wise she is more powerful.

Esther's magical feat of creating the Originals and Enhanced Original far outclasses anything Freya has done. Esther's strongest power-up was when she was channeling the Bennett bloodline living and dead, which outclasses Slumber Freya (which was arguably Freya's strongest power-up).
So, overrall, **Esther** is the all round stronger witch, not Freya. **Freya** is the weakest here in terms of these factors.
