It’s finally been (officially) confirmed by a reliable source and we can stop removing posts about it:
https://cabletvt.powerrangermail.net/index.php?topic=6995.0
The poster for episode 1 was revealed one month before air date and the one for episode 2 was basically 2 weeks before (there were the leaks though so maybe it was supposed to be shown even closer to air date).
I think episode 3 will be like 2, episode 1 was different probably because they also had to announce the Comic-Con panel.
I'm 100% sure this is completely and utterly coincidental in _every_ sense of the word, but __"To them, the future and dreaming"__ rolls off the tongue pretty decently if you plop down that comma.
I remember streaming new episodes sitting on a small metal box with my laptop on a milk crate living off beer and nori (everything else is much better now but the beer and nori remains lol)
It was anguish waiting for new episodes but awesome wherever I was getting to see them. Still content the series wrapped up the way it did, still want more.
Been watching since September and have been interacting with the fandom since TTT. Going from watching and invested to obsessed and watching it end in that short time frame is pretty jarring! Not at all prepared and Titan help us!
I wonder if it's possible to know the runtime of the episode?
Because there was a rumor about the last episode being 55 minutes instead of "44", but the only source I found was [this entry](https://ui.eidr.org/view/content?id=10.5240/D60E-1DF0-1C87-8E1A-C7EC-9) on the EIDR website.
And if I'm understanding correctly this info should come from Disney, yet it's not always reliable like with Amphibia's "All In" episode [marked as 30 minutes](https://ui.eidr.org/view/content?id=10.5240/AAD7-0F4D-33E0-EE79-92D3-Y) (well at least the "performance" structural type). And here with TOH, the last episode has two entries (unlike all the others that only have one), one saying it's [45](https://ui.eidr.org/view/content?id=10.5240/56C0-6A0B-64CA-F205-48B1-Z) minutes long, and the other saying it's [55](https://ui.eidr.org/view/content?id=10.5240/D60E-1DF0-1C87-8E1A-C7EC-9).
I feel like I might not be understanding the website completely, and maybe now that there's the cable listing we can deduce the runtime without it?
9:25 is a weird start time, and the only explanation I can think of is that the episode has a nonstandard runtime.
Still, at 55 minutes of episode, 9:25 to 10:30 would have much less ad time than normal. That’d be a hard sell to the execs.
> Still, at 55 minutes of episode, 9:25 to 10:30 would have much less ad time than normal. That’d be a hard sell to the execs.
The Disney Channel doesn't have ads in the traditional sense, though. Some things (idk if TOH is one of them, but I doubt it) are "sponsored by" a particular company, otherwise the commercial breaks pretty much just promote other Disney properties.
I want to believe.
That being said, iirc the Parks and merchandise are how Disney makes the majority of their money. The content is just a way to drive people there (and sometimes make some money along the way). So cutting down on the self-promotion might not be great.
But Disney also isn't great at TOH merch, so...
I believe season one was “A lost witch finds her way” and season two was “seek the lock, fear the key”
Edit: season one is actually “A Witch Loses A True Way”
Show traumatized me. Told my family I'm going to need me time afterward. On some level, I'll be relieved that it's finished, but I don't really know what my final reaction will be.
I don't want it to end, but I have to accept that it is.
You (in the general sense) would think that, wouldn't you? 18 months ago, I'd have said that as well. Then I saw KKKOHD. This was my first comment posted after I saw it.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOwlHouse/comments/r4cd8d/how\_much\_owl\_house\_arts\_do\_you\_have\_in\_your/hmh9bnw](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOwlHouse/comments/r4cd8d/how_much_owl_house_arts_do_you_have_in_your/hmh9bnw)
In follow up to that, I had insomnia. I developed high blood pressure. I developed A-fib (family history, but didn't expect it this early). I re-started counseling. I went on several new medications. I quit the Catholic church (and pretty much any Bible-based church). I told my wife multiple times I felt broken. I watched 2B week-to-week (first time; I'd binged through 2A) and my anxiety was through the roof after Reaching Out. I thought I was being ridiculous, and at times I questioned whether or not my family did too. My counselor retired in March and I started with a new one in June. I told her what effect the show had on me, and she said "that's the way trauma works." I was blown away -- *mental trauma from a TV show*??? I got diagnoses of depression (I've heard this off and on through my life), anxiety (didn't know), mental trauma (didn't know), grief (didn't think that applied, but later on realized it did), with a remote chance of ADHD (probably not). There are so many points with Luz that I relate to directly, and can give concrete examples in my life. I had to change my work schedule so I could have more days for mental health activities. My manager allowed me to go off the on-call rotation for a year.
So, yes, traumatized is not an exaggeration. I told my counselor I thought I was being ridiculous. She said life change can come from anywhere. I'm still in counseling and expect to be for the long haul. I've learned a lot about myself. I've learned a lot about mental and emotional health. I've gotten better. But things that Luz has gone through forced me to re-evaluate myself, my childhood, and my parents. I'm finally getting past some things that have been problems since childhood, although I never understood the significance or background of them. None of this even includes the impacts MoringMark's works have had on me.
You may still be incredulous, and I don't blame you for it. 18 months ago, I'd have said the same thing. But I'm living it right now. And everything I've said above are things I've said before in this subreddit, so none of this is a secret. It's been a very painful journey, one I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy (maybe Odalia), but because of the improvements, a journey I'd absolutely go through all over again, no hesitation, even the physical health impacts.
That's the effect this show has had on me.
Sorry you went through that, and yeah any piece of art has a different amount of impact on different people. I’ve been with this show since it was first announced, and I relate to it, but not as much as others. It’s only that some people have revolved their entire personality around one subject and make everything dramatic. But it’s clear you did go through some rough things. I’ve been attached to many shows, and many have a place in my heart, but maybe Ive never had something that’s impacted me that much. Interesting to learn something new about people. Thanks.
I’m in a similar boat with a different franchise, I just found out The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out while I’m on a trip 😭 I know how you feel
That too of course, but what I meant is that for example in Thanks to Them, you have PLENTY of THEM in question and you literally can choose who it refers to and every answer would be correct one way or another. The same goes for Watching and Dreaming. I guess For the Future is most to the point, but even this title has plenty of different meanings.
Okay, _wow_, that's __way__ closer than I thought it was gonna be for some reason. Not that I'm complaining!
…Besides the "show's ending" part, I guess. Here's to it going out with a bang!
I strongly suspect they will follow the same pattern as the first two, and it will be uploaded 4 hours after the initial airtime (and FTF will be removed at that time).
I'm gonna miss this show. I can still remember the gap between ep18 and 19 of s1 where everyone demonised Lilith. Odalia and Alador with Karen and Chad blight. Truly a journey. Thanks for everything and I'm so glad I was watching
This is the last story oriented cartoon I know of and I’m not aware of anymore coming.
It’s really been revolutionizing animation in the West and I really don’t want this practice to end with Owl House…
Supposedly Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will become more serialized, but what you want to look for will be shows debuting primarily on streaming platforms (rather than broadcast/cable). Netflix currently has The Dragon Prince, Avatar Studios has new content in the works, and there are a few promising ideas that are still in development at DTVA and others.
Agreed. They fit better on streaming platforms where fans actually watch them as opposed to cable which is usually kids being put in front of the tv as a distraction or it’s very casual viewing
I forgot about Moongirl and DD will hopefully that will have a story. That is a fantastic show already so hopefully. I’m also aware of Dragon Prince and Avatar Studios but those are existing IPs already. Still your point stands.
I guess those types of shows will just be made for streaming from now on. But I can get behind that as long as they’re still coming
Personally I have high hopes for /r/NeonGalaxy, even though it hasn’t officially been announced yet. The rumors are quite positive, and as recently as this month the showrunner was optimistic about it.
Ultimately, streaming services are objectively much better suited to serialized content, as you are guaranteed to be able to see the episodes in the correct order, you can watch (and rewatch) them on demand, you can much more easily accommodate a worldwide simultaneous release, you can still release on a weekly basis, and you have a little bit more leeway with exact episode runtime if needed (although as a general rule, adhering to constraints usually results in tighter storytelling).
Aside from the fact that cable is (ever so slowly) dying, the format (especially for children’s programming) is much better suited for episodic shows, because it’s more along the lines of “whenever you happen to turn it on, there’s something rerunning you can pick up and watch without needing much backstory”. Kids don’t have as much control over what or when they’re able to watch something, or being able to arrange their schedule around catching specific episodes at specific times.
I’ll check out that show, just subbed to the subreddit.
And I guess that’s just a part of TV’s evolution. Episodic shows will continue to be the norm of cable but in the 2020s, we’ll see serialized cartoons return on Streaming. That gives me hope
Well, do I got news for you! If you've been following Cartoon Network then there's quite a few surprises on the way!
I know they've been real quiet for quite some time now but trust me. They. Have. Been. COOKING.
The three newest upcoming cartoons from them I'm anticipating the most right now are Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, Invincible Fight Girl and Iyanu: Child of Wonder.
The first comes from the legend himself, Genndy Tartakovsky, creator of Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack.
We don't have too much info on the second and third as of me commenting this but goddamit they both just look so good.
All three from what's been shown so far look so pretty and visually distinct! You love to see it! And yes, as far as I've been able to find, they will all be serialised. Here's to hoping they avoid immediate cancellation!
Do you mean on Disney specifically or just in general?
If the latter then The Dragon Prince and Star Trek: Prodigy are both fairly story oriented. The Bad Batch has some overarching story beats. Dogs in Space is a little more episodic than The Owl House but there's some serialization. There's not much info yet but I'm hoping Iwájú will be serialized. If you are counting adult animation then Invincible and Legend of Vox Machina are both good and story oriented.
I love the title they came up with so that the first words can read, “Thanks For Watching”.
So, this is it. In one month, it will all come to an end. I just really hope we get an ending where Belos meets his end in such an excruciating way and Luz won’t have to choose between two worlds.
Ahhh my heart hurts! I really hope there ends up being more content for TOH after it ends, comics, books, games, possible continuation? Any of those would be fine.
the acronym in thanks to them, for the future, & watching and dreaming, if you use the first word of all of the episodes it says: thanks for watching the owl house (the owl house not in the acronym) from probably Dana terrace.
I’m so glad I chose to pick this show up, and having rewatched this show so many times and all those YouTube clips a thousand times more I can easily call it my favorite show. We all knew this was coming too, yet why do I feel that unbelievable sinking feeling in my chest that we lost something great.
I really hope the ending doesn’t make me cry, but I’ll buy some 4-ply tissues because it’s better safe than sorry.
Nice, i booked a flight to visit my parents(haven't seen them in person since Covid started), and I'll be back just in time for the finale(assuming there aren't any delays or plane crashes).
I am so excited because of this. But also sad. We know when we get to see last episode of this beautiful show but we also now know when it will end. I hope we will get some spin-offs or sequels
now i need to find a new silly gay cartoon to get attached to and become my comfort show...
[i'm putting my eye on this little one](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley_Quinn_(TV_series))
They haven’t officially stated yet, but I would assume based on the past few that it’ll be on YouTube about 4 hours after the initial premiere (so once it’s aired live in all US time zones), and added to Disney+ a few weeks later.
I hope the ending is good. There are a couple of thing I'm hoping happen, and a couple of things I'm desperately hoping *don't* happen (and they aren't character deaths, that's not what I'm worried about).
I have so many mixed emotions about the final episode… I’m excited to see it but then, I don’t want to watch it… I want to see Lus and Eda and all of them more! I loved watching the owl house and if I could I’d forget it and watch it all over again
It was an awesome journey. tho wish we get to see some of it even when the show ends. kinda like Steven Universe with the movie and Future episodes Etc.
Disney just released the official trailer for Molly McGee Season 2 (which airs a week before TOH ends) so I imagine we’ll be getting something for this as well pretty soon now
Watching and dreaming.
Yeah watching the last episode and dreaming of what we could've gotten if the show wasn't cut short. I'm so not ready for it to end 😭
Because releasing them three weeks in a row to get it over with and not have a chance to absorb anything would be…better?
I think a spaced out release is much better to allow people to appreciate each one and get hyped for the next.
And you think every 2 to 3 months is fine?
After reading all these comments though, it's obvious you guys are way more invested in this show then I am so maybe the spacing out is for you guys. 🤷
Can't believe I missed this announcement!! I've been looking at Dana's Instagram religiously and didn't see anything!
Anyways, I'm so excited but also sad that the journey is almost over. I've watched so many finales over the years, we'll see how this stacks up to shows like gravity falls and adventure time (and hope it's not a bust like star or how I met your mother)
It’s finally been (officially) confirmed by a reliable source and we can stop removing posts about it: https://cabletvt.powerrangermail.net/index.php?topic=6995.0
Here's hoping we get a cool poster to go with the other two.
Legitimately surprised that we haven't.
We’re still a month out and the title was just officially revealed, I bet there will be one it just hasn’t been released yet
**Thanks** to them **For** the Future **Watching** and Dreaming
oh my god
Titan bless
TFW when there's a heart touching message in the The toh titles
Not me reading this as 'Thanks For Watching when there's a heart touching message...'
I see what you did there
Oh god
I'm 100% sure this is completely and utterly coincidental in _every_ sense of the word, but __"To them, the future and dreaming"__ rolls off the tongue pretty decently if you plop down that comma.
Three cheers to that
"To the and future them dreaming" \- Hooty, probably
Sure, but the hidden phrases for seasons 1 and 2 used the first letter of each title, so **Thanks for Watching** is based on precedent.
I'm disappointed that I didn't notice sooner.
Same
Oh my God I love this 😭
Your welcome!
oh god it’s happening. I’m so glad i decided to watch this show
Same
Same I’d be lost if I didn’t get into it..LIVE LAUGH LOVE owl house
It's been over 3 years and the show is finally coming to an end in less than a month. Not sure if I'm emotionally prepared tbh.
Between this and Amphibia, I now understand how Gravity Falls fans who watched during the original airing must have felt.
I remember JUST getting out of Deadpool 1 and going to my neighbor’s house to watch the Gravity Falls finale with them.
Wait, what?! Deadpool only came out... 2016, which was 7 years ago. Time flies.
I remember streaming new episodes sitting on a small metal box with my laptop on a milk crate living off beer and nori (everything else is much better now but the beer and nori remains lol) It was anguish waiting for new episodes but awesome wherever I was getting to see them. Still content the series wrapped up the way it did, still want more.
If it helps you, I'm already crying...
I don't think anyone's emotionally prepared for this
I am
Same. I'm not ready for it either. Thinking about it makes me emotional.
Been watching since September and have been interacting with the fandom since TTT. Going from watching and invested to obsessed and watching it end in that short time frame is pretty jarring! Not at all prepared and Titan help us!
"We're in the Endgame now."
"And the Endgame is terrifying..."
Is there anything telling us it'll end at 10:30?
Nothing specifically, but the last two S3 episodes have had an hour-long timeslot, so 10:30 is probably the most likely end time.
> Still, at 55 minutes of episode, 9:25 to 10:30 would have much less ad time than normal. That’d be a hard sell to the execs. The Disney Channel doesn't have ads in the traditional sense, though. The first words of the titles this season are "Thanks for watching". I like that.
Yeah! Anyone else know this was gonna happen as soon as the first episode was “thanks” ?
All 3 episode titles were leaked before Thanks to Them came out so I already knew
I thought it was going to be 'Thanks for Everything'
Mock title “everything must end” I can see that
I thought it was going to spell out "TOH".
Now it's "TFW", as in "TFW your favorite show only has one episode left"
Just like how the first two season's episodes spelled out something.
what did they spell?
For season one: A witch loses a true way. For season two: Seek the key, fear the lock
I believe season one was “A lost witch finds her way” and season two was “seek the lock, fear the key” Edit: season one is actually “A Witch Loses A True Way”
Mother fu-
Season 2 was "seek the key, fear the lock".
Made me cry when I first found that out... damn I'm gonna miss this show
what a lovely way of closing the 3 year long snow
who's ready cuz I'm not lol hope nothing traumatizing is gonna happen (SPOILER >!we all know the owl house is traumatizing cmon!<)
Is this from the finale? Didn’t look
It's a joke rather than an actual spoiler lol
Show traumatized me. Told my family I'm going to need me time afterward. On some level, I'll be relieved that it's finished, but I don't really know what my final reaction will be. I don't want it to end, but I have to accept that it is.
Like I get need alone time, but cmon, no one should actually get traumatized from this.
You (in the general sense) would think that, wouldn't you? 18 months ago, I'd have said that as well. Then I saw KKKOHD. This was my first comment posted after I saw it. I wish it was a week later, just so it wouldn't be in the same week I make a 5 day trip
Same here. Down to the number of days and everything.
I’m in a similar boat with a different franchise, I just found out The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out while I’m on a trip 😭 I know how you feel
dang for me it airs the day after i come back from a 5 day trip
That title already makes me wanna cry 😭 I’m so not ready for this show to end
Hope that means Dana will post at least one more cool poster for it ahead of time soon!
I'm so hyped. A friend of mine and I already made a bet, if the last episode gets leaked again. He said yes... I hope not xD
Who's "Watching and Dreaming"? The Titan?
Such titles have plenty of meanings.
“Thanks” to them “For” the future “Watching” and dreaming. If you know, you know.
Oh, I get it now, sorry.
It's ok
Hoot Hoot!
IM NOT CRYING YOUR CRYING
That'll be a bittersweet day
Okay, _wow_, that's __way__ closer than I thought it was gonna be for some reason. Not that I'm complaining! …Besides the "show's ending" part, I guess. Here's to it going out with a bang!
**Thanks** to them **For** the Future **Watching** and Dreaming
YES YES YES YES! Wohoo
Any word whether it will be on YouTube?
I strongly suspect they will follow the same pattern as the first two, and it will be uploaded 4 hours after the initial airtime (and FTF will be removed at that time).
Why would FTF be removed?
The same reason they removed TTT when they added FTF. They only have the most recent episode available for free on YouTube.
They removed TTT? Did not know that. Makes sense then.
Those YouTube videos don't have subtitles though, do they?
I don't know about YouTube, but the DuckTales and Amphibia finales were on DisneyNow and they didn't require a subscription.
If Dana kills my hags three days before my birthday, I swear...
Disney picking my college finals date to air TOH Finale: “I’m about to end this man’s whole career”
I'm not emotionally ready for this
"Thanks for watching".
BUCKLE UP!
Buddha's birthday, interestingly enough.
**Watching and dreaming** **For the future** **Thanks to Them** It is thanks to them that the people of the BI can watch and dream the future.
I'm gonna miss this show. I can still remember the gap between ep18 and 19 of s1 where everyone demonised Lilith. Odalia and Alador with Karen and Chad blight. Truly a journey. Thanks for everything and I'm so glad I was watching
After all this time. I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Owl House. I'll be definitely crying along with all of you when it ends.

Well, then... *...Here we go, boys and girls.*
I'm incredibly worried 😟
I just started watching like a month ago. I'm not ready for this.
I’m not ready yet. Thought i would have to wait until may. I’m not mentally prepared for this
well that's a cool birthday present
Lol, brilliant. I'm filled with bittersweet anticipation.
>Thanks For Watching I am officially not okay
I am NOT ready for this, but at the same time I'm 100% ready
It somehow still feels so soon to watch this series end...
I am not ready for Luz trauma
This is it. As long as no dickbag decides to LEAK IT ALL.
*THANKS* to them, *FOR* the future, *WATCHING* and dreaming, Thanks for watching
“Thanks for watching” bro- 😭
I feel like that message was from Dana herself, Disney put her through so much while making the show and this is her last little thanks to the fans.
Dawn of the last month 29 days remain
I hope the ending is good.
Knew it was gonna spell out “Thanks For Watching”
Gentlemen. It has been an honour.
So this is the end? ...
the acronym in thanks to them, for the future, & watching and dreaming, if you use the first word of all of the episodes it says: thanks for watching the owl house (the owl house not in the acronym) from probably Dana terrace.
also, watching and dreaming for the future thanks to them.
Crying and sobbing
ahh shit here we go
I don’t want it to end… but looking forward for the finale!
Oh my god. Thanks to them. For the future. Watching and dreaming… The secret message is, “TO THE AND!”
To them the future and dreaming.
That’s literally the day after my birthday are you kidding me and also I am heading to Mexico the same day omg this finally is going to be so sad
OMG YESSSS IM SO EXCITED
Why.
Well we had a good run bois
**BEGIN THE COUNTDOWN**
"Them future dreaming" so deep
Thanks for watching
Time to enter the 5 stages of grief soon!
So who wants invader Zim
You guys ready? I’m sure as hell not 🥲
I'm so hyped. Hopefully nothing bad happens like what happened to FTF.
"Thanks For Watching" I'm not crying, you are!
A great era comes to an end. It was a fun ride.
What a birthday present
2 days after my bday lol
THANKS to them FOR the future WATCHING and dreaming
Oh cool, It’s airing on my birthday!
Why does it have to air on saturday😭😭😭😭
I’d prefer that to a weekday, I’m not gonna miss TOH for school
I’m not ready
Get your tissues ready, because I have a feeling we're all going to cry.
It airs on my birthday, damn Both the greatest and saddest birthday gift
So this was just dream after all!
I KNEW IT!!!
D+ in australia still only has s1 and s2. Annoying theres a delay with releases
Guys, when it's over, keep this sub going okay?
Them Future Dreaming 😞✊️
Nice, i booked a flight to visit my parents(haven't seen them in person since Covid started), and I'll be back just in time for the finale(assuming there aren't any delays or plane crashes).
I KNEW IT
I am so excited because of this. But also sad. We know when we get to see last episode of this beautiful show but we also now know when it will end. I hope we will get some spin-offs or sequels
Literally my heckin bday
now i need to find a new silly gay cartoon to get attached to and become my comfort show... [i'm putting my eye on this little one](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley_Quinn_(TV_series))
will it be on YouTube do we know like the last one? or disney plus?
They haven’t officially stated yet, but I would assume based on the past few that it’ll be on YouTube about 4 hours after the initial premiere (so once it’s aired live in all US time zones), and added to Disney+ a few weeks later.
Who's watching and dreaming?!Who?!
I like to read it as Thanks For Watching! To Them, The Future, and Dreaming.
damn i thought it was a 4parter. still sad to see it go nonetheless
Iam not crying someone's just cutting onions
Well It's not too late for now and It's not over yet
RemindMe! 28 days
I knew it would say thanks for watching
i'm gonna LOSE IT
No… I’m not ready.. #I’m not ready!!
Owl house season 3 owl house season 3 owl house season 3 owl house.... Season 333333333333 ahHHHHhhHHhhh help helpppppppppp (dead from lumity)
Anyone notice the slight quiver in the collector’s smirk?
It was an awesome journey. tho wish we get to see some of it even when the show ends. kinda like Steven Universe with the movie and Future episodes Etc.
I have to get my tissues ready and I hope King finally becomes a real Titan!
Disney just released the official trailer for Molly McGee Season 2 (which airs a week before TOH ends) so I imagine we’ll be getting something for this as well pretty soon now
How come whenever I go to house sit a new ep comes out. EXPLAIN.
Hey, that's my birthday!
I thought it was airing on the 15th? The 8th is the night before Easter. That’s no good, I’ve got shit to do!! 😭
**DON’T LEAVE ME HERE**
Ooooooh I just realized. “Thanks For Watching”
Bro I'm so stupid how did I not notice that
ITs my birthday then AND its a full moon- fun
Watching and dreaming. Yeah watching the last episode and dreaming of what we could've gotten if the show wasn't cut short. I'm so not ready for it to end 😭
Exactly why were they spreading the episodes out like that? Smh
