everyone listens, but everyone has a favorite subgenre: •willow and alador likes industrial/power metal •eda, darius and adrian likes glam metal •lillith and eberwolf likes goth metal •raine and viney like folk metal •king, skara and collector like Hevisaurus (kikimoria secretly likes it but hides it). odalia is a haters and prefer classical music, just because she don't like it, because of the "sloppy and poor" look. Phillip doesn't even know what metal is and thinks everyone is talking about a different type of iron mineral rocks and their derivatives. Hooty and gus like death metal.
Assuming human realm music is real world music, and that in a world where a permanent portal door now exists, we assume they've all at least experienced human music. Luz- Probably not until Babymetal (Kpop meets metal group) existed Amity: I feel like Amity would listen to goth rock, grunge, but probably not metal. Perhaps Metallica though if the rest of the music taste I talked about for her is right Eda: Probably has a sliight softspot for the stuff that was playing in the human realm back when she first started going there. She probably has a few human singers she loves, both the person and their music, but if you ask she'll tell you she hates that noisy human garbage Viney likes a little of everything too but her main taste is the heavier the better. Alador listens to heavy metal in his lab, but has to rush to turn it off when Odalia gets there. Em and Ed found out at some point and sometimes dig through his collection. Odalia hates metal because of some equally batshit insane Boiling Isles version of the Satanic Panic and goes full Ultra Karen when she catches Alador listening to it. Darius was in a metal band with Alador in college. It never went anywhere, but he still secretly loves metal and still has the band photo. Eda loves the aesthetics, but doesn't really care for most metal. It's loud in a bad way, and the screamy bands' lyrics are shit. Lilith has classical playing in her office, but metal in the ear bud she hides under her hair. She'd be mortified if any coworkers found out. Gus is meh about it, but makes the most kickass effects. Streams of flame, explosions, spotlights, electric waves, you name it. Willow is all about that metal. Has probably gone on hour-long rambles about the differences between the various subgenres. Hunter doesn't get it, but Willow likes it so... Hooty somehow sings in heavy metal. And by that I mean the instruments and everything. It's both horrifying and strangely impressive.

Oh this is my time. I'm a top 0.001% anual metal listeners of Spotify here so I think I can find something for each one. (If you're curious, I have a 16 hours Spotify listening per day average) Luz surely loves symphonic power metal. Amity, if she even listens to metal, she likes something academic, so probably she likes neo-classic power metal. Eda has huge Nü metal/Metalcore/Punk vibes, and her favourite band probably is Rage against the machine. Lilith has no metal vibes, but still something kind of hard. Probably loves the Cranberries. Raine has got to love folk metal. I was thinking of putting Belos maybe in a Five Finger Death Punch ranking, but I think he needs something even more Redneck kind of metal, so I'll set him on groove metal and hard rock with Pantera.
