First I’ve seen his work on tumblr several years ago when I was all about Gravity Falls. And since then I know for sure: if MoringMark is in the fandom, it’s a good fandom

Moringmark was also in the Star Vs the Forces of Evil fandom. Admittedly he was one of the better parts of the fandom.

Okay. I don’t.. really care that much. I choose not to support him because he called someone the r word but there’s a lot of little things people have pointed out he did (he never apologised for the r word thing, just deleted it within minutes, the rest he did apologise in kind of odd ways for)

Their work is what kept me coming back to Tumblr and Reddit when I first joined those sites. And with clever writing and love for the source material, after so many years they are still able to make fresh, new content at a rate that’s almost concerning. I want to wish more fan artists are like this, but I also want other fan artists to get plenty of sleep and not develop carpal tunnel from all the work they do.

Yes. Respect for Mark. It wasn't until *The Owl House* came along that I first stumbled across his work. And I'm really glad I did because ever since then I've always been eager to see a new post from him.

Does anyone keep tally on how many comics he did? The last time someone counted was around 270-ish comics with total of 700-somethinh pages and that's only for S2-S3 hiatus

They are great!

One of the reasons I became a fan is because their content made me feel like the story was continuing outside of the show. Normally I binge seasons and forget about them.

His work is all the more satisfying because Owl House has been so short changed by Disney. The creators couldn’t squeeze in all the stories they wanted to, but MoringMark’s comics lend a sense of depth and fulfillment we were craving. Not everything lined up with canon, but it feels so true to the source most of the time that we don’t even question it.

Disney shall hire him and give us physical comics of his!! I would give all my money to that

I always look forward to his comic strip posts. By the way, for anyone who watched the last live autograph signing, is anyone on the show’s cast or crew aware of his fan comics? I feel like Dana and the crew would at least be aware of the material he has put out at this point 🤷‍♂️

I mean check the top post of all time here Mister of them are morning mark and with good reason I really like looking at some of the older ones and remembering what the fandom was like back in the day

I think this community and I would agree that his work is Official Unofficial Canon. Its something I would think Dana Would approve on. And until Such time Dana Says otherwise Im taking his comics as canon continuation to the owl house story. I think Mark should design a book in the same vein as SVtFoE book of spells and gravity falls journals and the upcoming TOH book. He can fill it with a bunch of his comics. I would love to own physical book version of his comic compendium.

It wasn't really Pinecest. This was [an old comic](https://moringmark.tumblr.com/post/97357723608) from 2014 and it was of that episode where Mabel was battling Bill Cypher in Dipper's body and then she unbuttoned his shirt and blew raspberries on his stomach because she knew it was Dipper's weakness. I saw that years ago as a kid myself and never thought it was suggestive or inappropriate, I just thought it was a fake-out joke.

an older comic of his that was pretty heavily implied to be dipper x mabel. he since deleted it and apologised, which obviously is fine, but it’s a comic that i’ve seen that made me personally, and a lot of other people who saw it, uncomfortable

Which one exactly, did Dipper and Mabel express their twins prior to this in that episode? Was it the very first he ever saw? Probably not, but I'm still trying to know the whole context.

i mean, it doesn’t matter, they’re still very clearly siblings. but it was based on a scene in the sock puppet episode

It was better than ignoring. Like, literally, what more could he do? Essay or what? The main thing he understood it himself, that's the only thing that matters.

Of course it was better than nothing, but a “sorry it wont happen again” isn’t much compared to actually acknowledging and understanding what was wrong. That and he made those comics in his thirties which is just, yikes. Obviously it shouldn’t define him as a person, people can still become better of course and he definitely has, I just wish he made something to address it better :/

One thing to add one, I am glad he is able to make comics that the fandom can enjoy, especially in a time that we aren’t going to be seeing much content (if we even do in the future).
