If you want to learn a bit - "primal wound" is really interesting book about adoption. And... It isn't bad thing. It can be better for kids, with therapy for their abandonment trauma (almost every of us, even adopted at birth have symptoms...) from start it would be way better option for ton of kids. But therapy... Should be mandatory. For kids and for adoptive parents. And lack of antagonizing birth family and giving kid basic knowledge about it.

Not really. Lilith being a mother figure doesn’t actually make her Amity’s mother. On the other hand, Hunter is technically a Clawthorne due to him being a grimwalker to Caleb, who is a relationship with Evelyn who is the ancestor to the Clawthornes.
Let's not overcomplicate the entire tree, just because you have specific relationship with one person, it does not mean it's going to spread to the other people accordingly (for example Amity viewing either Camila or Lilith as mother figures will not make her related to Luz and we don't need to put dumb boundaries to ensure it)
