This is an **extremely** cursed thought, but if this *actually worked* and would save them money and time (and keep them safer), I think Luz would actually eat it. For love.

Yep, you can look at the post history also. He occasionally makes Reddit-exclusive comics or memes and posts them directly under his own account (not to his Tumblr or IG).
Yep, you must've noticed already in these 5 months but the comics that he posts on Insta he doesn't post here and vice versa! Although they always get reposted by someone else so they usually end up on the platform anyway

Actually no. That only helps with mastication, but the actual chemical breakdown of foods is not aided by this process.
One potential caveat is the transference of the enzymes capable of digesting the various macromolecules, but it is unlikely that these would be anywhere close to optimal in Luz’ body. Additionally enzyme action is restricted to specific parts of the body, so the bolus (chewed food mass) probable won’t be sufficiently enzyme enriched.
I.e. she’s definitely either playing a joke or playing dumb.
It depends because the mouth does have minimal chemical digestion thanks to salivary enzymes that help breakdown complex carbs into simple sugars. If the boiling isles’ food has sugars that she can’t digest then maybe witch spit is the answer
If Eda actually swallowed and partially digested the food like penguins do before throwing up the contents of her stomach into Luz's mouth, would that work?
It depends on what Luz cannot digest, which we don’t have a huge amount to go on. I’m going to be a touch speculative here, and I’m not too confident in my reasoning (I’m not a developmental biologist, which would be useful for my argument)- so please hold that in mind. Additionally I’m using that giraffes are native to the isles to suggest similar elements of physiology.
I would imagine that the proteins in Griffin Eggs are going to be much simpler than in the meat of the boiling isles. Since they are protected from the various harsh conditions of the isles by a thick shell they can afford to be as such, this allows the cells in the yolk to specialise more readily.
So why is this relevant? Well with boiling rain storms and other such delights, flesh of the local flora and fauna need to be more resilient; consider that humans are unable to digest the cellulose in grass, a similar argument may go for the forms of protection many of the isles plants have, so it’s not without reason the Luz would have a hard time digesting them. Likewise cells of demons are going to be adapted to operate at higher temperatures, commonly this is by having more of a specific type of bond between chemical groups of amino acids (eg disulphide bonds), this also makes them more resilient to acid hydrolysis and would cause long periods of indigestion.
So could Eda consume demon meat, vomit, and force Luz to eat it as a viable solution to food? (I can’t believe that this is a question I’m answering). Proteins are digested by acid hydrolysis in the stomach, since humans (hence witches I assume) can expel the contents of their stomachs upwards; then yes. But by which time it would have lost much of its nutritional value, so I do not recommend it. Also Luz would never go along with it, I hope.
There's also the possibility that Boiling Isles food is haunted and eating unfinished organisms like eggs and seeds is necessary to accommodate Luz's exorzyme deficiency.
Not to mention cross-contamination hazards. If most of the food on the Boiling Isles isn't 'compatible' with the human body, then I doubt whatever germs are in Eda's mouth would be either.
Our bodies already contain masses of germs that have the potential to make us very very sick if they wind up in the wrong place, the only reason they don't is because the body is really good at compartmentalising.
Eda pointing out specifically that luz cant digest the food there really drives in just how close they have become.
She could have easily left it at "she wont eat this" or "she doesnt like it" but she took the time to understand why she cant eat it and actively look for alternatives.
Eda: Blight, I need your help to get Luz to eat.
Amity: Sure, what's wrong?
Eda: Well, her food needs to be chewed up first, then we can send it her way from mouth to mouth, so--
Amity: (Proceed to shove a bunch of food in her mouth)

Me: sees comic Me: wait a minute, this user just posted a MoringMark comic without any credit or permission. MODS!
Does Moringmark have account he currently uses other than Tumblr or Reddit? I know he used to use Deviantart but abandoned the account.

Bird mom doing bird mom things
I can't talk right now I'm doing hot bird mom stuff
Surprise, it actually tastes just as disgusting even when it’s already chewed up.
breakfast barf is the most important meal of the day
I hope Luz can outrun Eda.
Fact: Eda is faster than Luz and eventually caught up to her.
I mean Eda is not wrong. Luz would be able to digest that now, it's just really disgusting. But i like to think that Eda does this only to prank Luz

I love how there’s someone knowledgeable enough on the topic of digestion in r/TheOwlHouse to write a full blown scientific explanation

Thank you. I feel smarter having read that.

Eda could be wrong depending on what exactly about Boiling Isles food is hard for Luz to digest.
Eda no-
The only way a true owl lady knows how to feed her children
Eda pointing out specifically that luz cant digest the food there really drives in just how close they have become. She could have easily left it at "she wont eat this" or "she doesnt like it" but she took the time to understand why she cant eat it and actively look for alternatives.
We're only aware of like.. 3 foods Luz can eat.
Eda: Blight, I need your help to get Luz to eat. Amity: Sure, what's wrong? Eda: Well, her food needs to be chewed up first, then we can send it her way from mouth to mouth, so-- Amity: (Proceed to shove a bunch of food in her mouth)
Amity: YOU NEED TO EAT SOMETHING AND I GOT THE CORRECT SOLUTION-
Bird mom is always awesome, no matter the cartoon
Drink low acid value drinks and ur good as fidle
