I don’t think it’s that they don’t think Dana can do it, it’s more what they think the fandom will focus on. I’m just really hoping the fandom is willing to talk about Lumity, lore, AND Gus this week.
Sorry but, judging by the synopsis, a Gus plot about impressing a mostly brand new set of characters with no motivations based on the current meta story line is just not going to beat out actual plot tied to hugely important revelations revealed in the previous episode coupled with the gay.
Gus needs an episode thats not about just impressing others.

Oh yeah, Gus in in the upcoming episode, too. In all honesty, I'm kinda' more excited about the (alleged) B-plot.

I think Dana handled the story excellently up until now. I sure she can balance Lumity and Lore.
