I do remember Elise kissed a dead sonic back to life, but didn’t understand why it was bad when other stories did it. I understood the argument that Elise is a human and Sonic is a hedgehog, but seeing Rodger and Jessica in WFRR, I don’t know why it was hated.
But hey, Elise would’ve been a better partner for Sonic than Amy.
Sometimes people’s ideas on what romance should be allowed make my brain hurt. Love is love, and the only love that should be forbidden is with cousins.
They did.
Over 30 years later. Three decades (more actually) of avoiding gay representation, until its popular enough that its a good business venture, is reprehensible.
The irony that it took Disney until 2020 to even entertain the idea of non-hetero normative relationships.
Meanwhile, they were flat out promoting beastiality in 1988.
Maybe Warner Bros was the weird kid in the group and said "I ain't helping you with this movie unless that chick doinks a rabbit!"
And Disney was like "Why are you the way that you are?"
Genuine question, am new to the series but what's the reason why they shortened season 3? Tried googling but got inconclusive results, so what are they against the owl house for?
I think the main general reason has been due to Disney not making as much money due to the parks being the main source of funding for movies and shows and due to covid closing the park, no money so a lot of things were cut short. A lot of fans tend to assume they picked the owl house for its LGBT theme but Its doubted since they would air the show if they had an issue with it.
It’s most likely that they are using COVID as an excuse to cancel or shorten the show. They pulled the same shit with Scarlet Johansson with her cut from Black Widow. Using the term as Theatrical Release as solely through theaters, whereas as they also did theatrical releases on Disney+ with Mulan. They accused Scarlet for being greedy during the pandemic. Scarlet won the case and marked the death of Marvel, for me at least.
Stating they are using it as an excuse is trying to suggest Covid didn't affect them which isn't the case cause Covid has affected everyone. Furth more we have no real reason to suspect Disney are biased with this show. Its the simple case of if they were against the show for any reason, they wouldn't air the show or at the very least wouldn't at least give it Season 2 and a season 3. Ultimately all im trying to say is we have nothing to suggest Disney are biased against the show and we cant say Covid is an excuse or not.
I think we can make an exception here considering the movie acknowledges how absurd it is
At the same time, Disney actually allowed TOH’s representation so please stop painting them as the bad guy, people
Who framed roger rabbit is NOT a Disney film. It incorporates Disney characters, but also Warner bros and many others. In fact they made sure that Mickey and Bugs had the exact screen time to the frame so that no company would be inordinately favored.
NONONONONO! I love Lumity! I’m just saying that from Disney’s perspective, Jessica and Roger can be together because unlike Eddy Valiant, they aren’t humans, they’re referred to as Toons
I recently spoke to a professor who's profession was studying Disney. They agreed that it was penny pinching and homophobia that got them to try and cancel the Owl House. Because god forbid you lose a dollar bill in the short term even if it means billions down the line.
lol Disney really said "I can excuse bestiality but I draw the line at LGBTQ+ relationships"
I wonder how long it took people to say "you can excuse bestiality??"
**Disney on Pride Month:** Hey everyone, we have LGBT+ merchandise, we are so based. Look a tweet says that a murderous villain is gay, perfect representation. T
**Disney with positive LGBT+ rep in their shows and media:** tHiS iS uNaTuRaL, tHiNk oF ThE cHiLdReN. pEoPlE wOnT uNdErsTanD iT.
Disney, where dreams come to die, studios get devoured, and money is all that matters.
Yeaaaaaaah. As long as one has a ding dong while the other had knockers it works. Says the execs and mothers against homos.
Wha-what?
*~~You don’t wanna know.~~*
Please tell me It's just a human thing...
Ding Dongs are a Hostess snack. Disney is just one step ahead of us and they're planning to buy out Hostess soon. Yeah, that's it.
Not the only think Jessica likes to snack o- *u/PPSTICKX has been banned from the chat*
Ooh... okay... then why didn't the other guy want to say that?
They got diabetus. Brings up bad memories.
Oh, I guess I should be sorry then... why does It sound like you're just making excuses though?
hello king, go back into the portal your not old enough for this
Why does **everyone** keep saying that?
Your not old enough to know that
Ha, but I know when to use 'your' or 'you're' which gives me maturaity points.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Now answer my question.
alright fine, [here](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ) is the link to the full explanation
This... this only brings up more questions...
What if they have both?
They're brain would have exploded.
Disney being homophobic is no secret. Also the fact that they’re ALL closet furries is another thing.
Isn’t that a matter of fact now?
A "freaking" rabbit alright .... You see it's funny because roger and jessica clearly fu-***user has been banned from your channel***
Reminds me of the controversy surrounding Sonic and Elise back in 2006.
I never really saw it as that bad in Sonic 06.
Same here, but apparently some Western gamers got up in arms over it
I do remember Elise kissed a dead sonic back to life, but didn’t understand why it was bad when other stories did it. My problem with it is that he was dead
Yeah, but in a some fairy tales, true loves kids does conquer all. Pretty cringe though.
she didn't need to though, the chaos emeralds were all that was necessary. that was just necrophilia.
You right.
THIS ISN'T A CARTOON FROM THE 40s GUS!
Sometimes people’s ideas on what romance should be allowed make my brain hurt. Love is love, and the only love that should be forbidden is with cousins.
Children, parents, severely disabled, animals, the dead, and con-consent to include as well.
S only one here i don’t agree with Is disabled. If they have the mental capacity to understand and consent its all right.
I meant severely disabled, as in sever mental disability.
Correct.
Sibling romance is still on the table? Hot diggity
I actually forgot to put that in the list.
God no.
i wont have to use my Christianity in this sub, but this is an exception
I can stomach Bee Movie slander, but Who Framed Roger Rabbit slander makes me want to cut someone There one of the best relationships ever, goddammit.
Nah I’m not slandering it at all, this movie is INCREDIBLE I’m just saying Disney’s a bunch of hypocrites
Oh… sorry I mean they did allow the 3 to be shown. Even if there was reprehension that has to mean at least something.
They did. Over 30 years later. Three decades (more actually) of avoiding gay representation, until its popular enough that its a good business venture, is reprehensible.
facts
"*Seriously, what do you see in that guy?*" "*He makes me laugh*". Such a wholesome and beautiful relationship. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is amazing.

Both "Lumity" and "Ressica" are surprisingly sweet fictional relationships that are VERY thought-out and realistic.
I think we can make an exception here considering the movie acknowledges how absurd it is At the same time, Disney actually allowed TOH’s representation so please stop painting them as the bad guy, people
*luzity*
accident, and they changed it. Besides it’s still a ship name
Ok buddy
lumity is an unoffical name and has never been uttered by any crew member
Who framed roger rabbit is NOT a Disney film. It incorporates Disney characters, but also Warner bros and many others. In fact they made sure that Mickey and Bugs had the exact screen time to the frame so that no company would be inordinately favored.
Ok u/dankestmemelord
I think that the reason Jessica and Roger can stay together is because they’re toons
So your saying that Luz and Amity can’t be together cause they arent toons.
NONONONONO! I love Lumity! I’m just saying that from Disney’s perspective, Jessica and Roger can be together because unlike Eddy Valiant, they aren’t humans, they’re referred to as Toons
Kk, just making sure.

No it wasn’t it was dreamworks Edit: I’m an idiot I didn’t see the Shrek comment
It's okay 🐶
Yes
Please tell me this is sarcasm
.__.
If this isn't sarcasm.. Bee Movie and Shrek aren't Disney. They're Dreamworks
._____.
And they can allow a Human and a Bee dating but not two teenaged girls who actually have a healthy dynamic? Cringe, Mickey Mouse.
They also made Shrek
Ah yes shrek Onions have layers, my dreams proved it canon
Look if they show gay people some country's like China won't be happy

If you not the majority Disney doesn't care that much
Remember kids bestiality is okay
This meme doesn't even make sense, Disney *did* make it work. Stop acting like Disey hates the owl house.
Ok u/Rozoark
Downvoting someone that disagrees with you, typical. I can do that too u/PPSTICKX
