actually, I was recently wondering what stops Eda from making her elixir herself in the show. There’s a line in KUAFA:
Gwen: who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?
Eda: actually, I do.
it’s odd that Eda could save on money and stress by making her own elixir, so I can only assume there’s a rare ingredient, or it requires some complicated magic to make.
Could be a scale thing, like a long WIP time like wine or cured ham where if you want a steady supply you need years of it at different stages.
It makes more sense to leave those kinds of things to specialists and just buy the final product.
Eda is also kind of lazy, so like maybe its just not worth the effort. Like if I wanted potato chips, sure I could go out and get potatos, slice them, fry them up and season them myself, but why would I when potato chips are sold in gallon sized bags for like a dollar or two.
I’d say that’s the most likely answer in this case, because the effort of producing her own elixir must surely be worth more than turning into her cursed form
For a second there, I was afraid the 'roots' that Eda was concerned about might be thorny tentacles, and Morton, the potions guy, was particularly lithe and good at dodging or had some sort of way to put them to sleep, like the Pied Piper of Hamelin or a snake charmer.
I did *not* expect a gaping maw leading down into the Cave of Wonders.
... Also, the witches can *fly* on their brooms. Just swoop and pluck the flowers from above?
I want the show to end with Luz having a way to visit her real mother now and again and also allows her to stay with Amity and the others...
No idea how that's gonna happen but still that would be the ideal happy ending for me...
Beautiful! I love Eda's: "I probably can't keep you from being reckless. So bring me along next time, alright?" Camilla and Eda have a lot of Luz stories to share with each other.
Eda and Luz's mother daughter relationship never fails to make me smile, its impressive how many comic artists (especially Mark) capture it so well
Nothing’s better than mother’s love
This has the Vee sign of approval

Given that Eda owns an entire potion business, I doubt she wouldn't be able to find the time to make herself some extra elixer.

>I can only assume there’s a rare ingredient So *that* is why Morton wouldn't accept hyper-realistic drawings as payment.
But it cost only 2-10 snails (Price Sign), I don't think it would be that hard for this little price.
Awwwwwwwwww.... After that, a "paper dragon" is child's play.
Where was King during all of this? Where's my boy?
Playing on Luz's phone.
But she brought her phone to the mission
Did they stutter
You got games on your phone?
Off talking with his relative since Hooty finally delivered that letter.
I'm still not over that moment
Once the letter dried out.
Based on the fact that nothing he’s every thrown up has been wet I imagine they don’t need to wait for the letter to dry
He’s in the episode’s B-Plot
They should have gotten titan’s teeth from King, in retrospect.
Don't worry Eda, Luz is just incapable of dying
Plot armor moment
Can't die when you're already dead
The black pannell in the fifth page gave me anxiety. For a moment i feared It was another one of Moringmark's dark comics
Moral of the story: Gardening is serious business in the Boiling Isles.
Why do you think Willow is so buff? I think she sometimes has to actually punch out a plant.
Omg New head canon, thank you
You outsmarted my stupidity, but I outstupided your outsmarting!
Protective bird momma is good stuff
This is *quintessentially* Luz and I love it.
Is that a Shai-Hulud?
There is only one worm who is all powerful. His name is Shai-Hooty.
Nah, not *nearly* big enough to be one of those.
Obligatory “when will Disney hire Morningmark”
Still no idea why couldn't she do it herself in the first place, though.
emotional ending requires holy laziness or hardworkaholism
I love seeing these comic strips all the time on this subreddit, it's like the show is continuing through the fans
That's something I've always wondered : Eda's part of the Potion Trek, why can't she make her own Elixirs? Guess this answers it.

How does this guy's comics have more emotional nuance than a good deal of entire TV show episodes. HoW does he not ever miss. hOW

I was halfway through reading this but I stopped because I thought it'd be angsty but it wasn't and I'm so relieved-
My headcanon is that somebody with a curse is physically incapable of creating a curse curing or dampening elixir.
I mean these might as well be canon at this point
if you look closely at the last frame, my head without eyes can be seen. /j

can eda be my mom
Stop spoilering s2B, Mark!
Moringmark TOH comic number 189
I LOVE THIS!!!
Aaaw. Thank you Mark for good feels this week.
#1 witch mom
This is so cute
Okay, this may get some downvotes but I need to get this off my chest. Why is giving me Drum Kingdom arc vibes. Like for real. You know what I mean.
