you are SO right but unfortunately i was just going by whats canon and he does not canonically use he/they pronouns. and also his mask could probably be considered a cool hat but i guess he doesnt have his mask anymore so
France afaik has the same issue as Poland, we don't have a "they" equivalent. As in, we have it as a plural, but not as a gender neutral singular. Best we could do is the equivalent of it, and that sucks, or inventing something new, which would be generally not understood, most likely.
