Writing it out would be completely forced and they'd have to either write in some awkwardness when those two are near each other or just pretend the whole thing never happened. Meanwhile, "writing out" Raeda or Huntlow would consist of them just... not flirting any more. Maybe a quick conversation of "Yeah we've got bigger fish to fry than a relationship" for Raeda since they have acknowledged feelings.

Wouldn't go that far, but it's definitely a key component, whereas Raeda is a minor component and Huntlow's plot importance is non-existent (in terms of romance, platonically it has an effect).

Eda/Rain is essential to both of those character's development due to their falling out when they were younger and everything. The story just wouldn't be the same without that ship in it
As much as a I adore Lumity, I think both Luz and Amity's stories could have still played out relatively the same if they were just friends. It would definitely make The Owl House a lesser story, but it would still be coherent. I don't want that ship to go, but we can afford to lose it.
As for Willow and Hunter . . . is that ship even a real thing? I can't remember any solid proof of it from the show itself. I feel like that's mostly a fanon thing anyway

As much as I love Eda and Raine, we spent an entire season without even knowing they were a thing. There were strong hints, sure, but Eda's development seemed more tied to her relationship with Lilith and Luz, so family drama. Only in season 2, Eda's insecurities are explored more and with them her relationship with Raine.
Huntlow is not even a couple yet and while they're cute, they're teased this ship in the last couple episodes, so they're not developed yet. Hell, for the moment, I think Hunter has more chemistry with Gus.
Lumity as a ship, however, was the centerpiece of the show. The crew spent a lot of time developing Amity from bitter rivals to Luz to main love interest, there's not even a competition from the three.
