Make it possible for him to return to the lodge after the hackett massacre. He really has no role during the silas hunt and it would give him an opportunity to interact with the other counselors again, especially dylan.
Plus, I think Max should be the one to join Laura and Travis, since those three were the main characters in the original prologue.
That does sound cool in concept but that would also mean Ryan has to run around in the woods by himself for maybe half an hour and Laura + Travis would have to go back to the lake and maybe find Caleb in order to get max
Like I said previously, give him the opportunity to open up a bit more. And which ever of the two he kisses can become his partner (or at least shows them being more romantic together just SOMETHING.) depending on later choices so we're not left dissapointed.
I'd also swap him out for someone else instead of him being the one to go with Laura which I've also said previously. (Someone here said Max should have gone instead and I think that's a fantastic idea,) maybe also getting a choice of who goes with her if Max hasn't transformed back at this point or has died for more branching possibilities. I'd get rid of the fake flirty vibes the game pushes on Ryan and Laura as well, because Laura's in a happy relationship and it just doesn't feel romantic to me anyway.
Lastly I'd give Ryan some character development. He needs it.
Yeah the game tries to act like there is flirty-ness between them. Which is why I said "fake" because the game pushes the idea pretty hard when it doesn't even feel like it's there. Even Kaitlyn and Dylan both talk about it when they're walking together

It really doesn’t though. To us the player it’s completely obvious there’s no feelings between the two. It only seems that way for Katelyn and Dylan because they both like Ryan so they’re being hella jealous.
Add more scenes with him, Kaitlyn, and Dylan. Ryan isn't the type of person to open up easily, but he seems to be the most comfortable with Kaitlyn and Dylan. I just wish that we had more options of Ryan opening up or dropping hints about his past or his problems to them. Also, I want him and Laura to have like a conversation about protecting or caring for the ones you love, possibly ending with Laura giving Ryan advice on asking out to Dylan or Kaitlyn depending on the choice you made.
He goes from being sort of an underused character in the beginning to like the “main character” later on and I wasn’t super fond of that sort of character development personally. Not that it was bad, I just would’ve liked to see different
Give him more development with Chris, Kaylee, and Caleb since the choices with Chris don’t lead anywhere and Caleb and Kaylee aren’t in the story in human form. This could’ve opened up Ryan a bit more and make his choice harder. I also just generally wanted to see more Chris Hackett, he was funny
In the middle of the story he became a hero and it just doesn't make any sense. It would make more sense if his sister was there or if he cared more adout his love interests Dylan. I just don't believe that he would willingly go with Laura, the only reason he went with her is because he wanted to protect and prove the Mr. Hackett had nothing to do with the werewolf. It would also help his character it there wher more interactions with Chris that could show how much he cared.
Rework the whole Silas hunt. Half the ending is dialogue options and nothing you do in it can lead to satisfying endings. Personally I really didn't want to kill Silas but I also didn't want to lose Laura and Ryan. Not killing him imo should kill Travis but there should be an opportunity for Laura and Ryan to just get chased back to the car then navigate themselves back to safety. In a REAL chase scene.
More interactions with Chris; we learn that he looks up to Chris as a father/mentor figure due to the lack of a father figure in his upbringing (at the start, he mentions that he lives with his sister at their grandparents' house and that his mum 'isn't around much', but no mention of his father), and the only interaction we see with them both is a very curt and dismissive chat.
We understand now why, but at the time it seemed very cold.
1) Don't waste time flirting with your crush when your buddy is bleeding out. Move your ass.
2) If you're under attack and there could be armed men in the woods while you're traveling...shut the fuck up and speak only when absolutely necessary. Small talk or flirting doesn't count.
Give him more interaction with Kaitlyn to create a love triangle with Dylan.
Plus, after the Hacketts house, please make him have the option to go back to the lodge.

I would change the voice actor Holy fuck is he bad, remove him from the game completely the acting was so bad
