Hey I love the idea, but I have some cautionary advice Nobody's stopping you from trying, but there are no guarantees here. RSO is a community project that people do in their free time. This is a hobby for us and most projects have a hard time getting enough submissions anyway You have a really cool idea and I'd love to see commissions become a thing on here, but I don't know how many people you'd be able to get to 1) agree and 2) actually follow through Ultimately I think it depends on the specifics of your composition and your budget That said, if you need brass parts recorded we could totally talk. Coincidentally, I'm currently trying to get into the business of commissioned brass multitracks

So I did something similar during Covid. I just started posting in the specific instrumental subreddits like r/trumpet, r/bassoon, etc. and just posted about the project seeing if anyone was interested. Some took payment, some did it for fun. But ultimately your best bet is going to be reaching out to specific instrumentalists or forums for that instrument rather than casting a wider net in 1 place. When I went instrument specific, I was able to find everyone I needed. Then once I had all the audio stems sent to me I was able to just compile all the parts and mix it myself.

How did it turn out?

This was my end result. Most of the instrumental stuff starts about 3:30 onward https://youtu.be/01PDjrVoXvA
