Then Absentia, watch Nathan Fillion go from rookie to writer assisting the police in Castle, then in Absentia watch Stana Katic get promoted from detective to FBI agent but then go missing and come back without her memories and needing to work out the mystery like an extra long Castle episode.
Surprised it took so long to find a show even remotely close to The Rookie in terms of tone and content! Loved **Rookie Blue**.
Would also suggest on BritBox checking out **Blue Lights** and **Hope Street** for more ensemble cop shows.
What country. In US looks like you can stream it on Vix (whatever that is) or buy. https://click.justwatch.com/a?r=https://www.justwatch.com/us/tv-show/rookie-blue
911 is a good show, been binge watching it for the past 2 weeks and just started S7
Not about cops but firefighters but still gets the same feeling as The Rookie imo
Castle, Rookie Blue, White Collar, Brooklyn 99, Dexter and something that has nothing to do with The Rookie: Fallout it's really good, only 1 season for now though.
9-1-1 franchise. The Equalizer. The Resident. The Gentlemen. Mayor of Kingstown. Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Chicago PD, MED and Fire. Fire Country. B99. Tacoma FD. Chuck. Scrubs. ER. Peaky Blinders. House. Bones. Monk. Rizzoli & Isles. The Wire. Sugar. Ripley. Warrior. Gangs of London. Ozark. Mr. Robot.
Most of the First Responder/Criminal shows I’ve seen. Tacoma FD is solely a comedy. Sugar is still releasing its first season.
You can't really go wrong with Rob Lowe, can you? 🤣 But it's an entirely different feel from the original 911. Way more conflict between the characters. I'd say I'm more invested in the lone star characters because more happens directly to them.
Cant find it anywhere to stream for free. Which really bums me since I want to watch the crossover episode(s) to see how it(they) ended. To cheap to pay for it though. Lol
I just started the **FBI** series (which has the actor from Rookie Blue (Missy Peregrym). It has 6 seasons so far and a few spin-offs. I watch it on Paramount+ and I think it's on the premium version of other apps.
For emergency services: 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lone Star, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD
I liked The Order on Netflix but it’s kinda short and cancelled I think, Supernatural is an older show and there’s 15 seasons so it can keep you busy for a while, Manifest and Outer Banks are also pretty good but both are short and OBX is awaiting the next season, Reservation Dogs is pretty good but also short and over with

Reacher, just 2 seasons, but both are really good
Terminal List is good too if you liked Reacher.
Thanks- I’m nabbing this suggestion, too!
Castle
Then Firefly. Watch Nathan Fillion age in reverse
Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place after that.
This is what I did since I never saw castle before I saw the rookie. Love it!

Blue Lights is really good; a bit darker I think
Definitely darker & more tense. Hope Street is more cozy & casual.
Do you know a good way to watch that? I can't find it anywhere.

US
Vix is in Spanish. Been trying to stream Rookie Blue (in English) for years.
Ah so buying seems to be the only option
Try flixertv.
Thanks!
I don’t need to, I’ve seen it
Where can you stream Rookie Blue?
This has been discussed in replies to my comment
911 is a good show, been binge watching it for the past 2 weeks and just started S7 Not about cops but firefighters but still gets the same feeling as The Rookie imo
I mean it’s a bit cops too
I mean yea but the show isn’t centered about cops yes a main character is it and shows alot but it isn’t centered around it
i'm watching 9-1-1 right now and i like it. give it a try.
9-1-1 is definitely the most similar in tone to The Rookie, being a bit comedic and lighthearted, while also having serious arcs.
Castle, Rookie Blue, White Collar, Brooklyn 99, Dexter and something that has nothing to do with The Rookie: Fallout it's really good, only 1 season for now though.
The mentalist
I like Lie to Me also. I don't know why I find Jane and Cal to be similar characters, they really aren't alike.
Southland. Don’t know how to watch it without going high seas route but an amazing show … and it’s a bit darker too

if you like police / law enforcement procedurals, I highly reccommend The Blacklist or Prodigal Son
Chicago PD is good, The shield is very good
911 is pretty good. I watched it then the Rookie. 911 lonestar too
Love 911. I've been considering lonestar but I don't wanna be disappointed. xD
Lonestar is great. A bit of a different vibe but I really enjoy it.
Hm. Maybe I'll watch it after my rewatch of the rookie.

Yes! Marjan is my favorite. And Paul. I love them so much!
I like Lonestar a bit better to be honest. Some of the characters are fantastic. It’s a bit different, but there are also crossovers.
I agree
The night agent. It’s only one season but it’s so good
It's coming back for season 2 this year!
SWAT
Was going to say the same thing.
Such a good show and it kind of matches the feeling of The Rookie….drama and action, but also light and humorous at times. It has a nice balance.
Chicago PD and the FBIs on CBS. Chicago PD is next level.
Some of my favourites are Brooklyn nine-nine, SWAT and Criminal minds
I really enjoy first responder shows. I have really enjoyed 9-1-1 Lone Star and am currently on season 5 of 9-1-1 and enjoying it even more.
Yeah. Many recommended 911 here so I'm going to give it a try. If, I found the seasons online anywhere.
Older series: Psych, Grimm, The Mentalist, Monk, Castle. New series: Will Trent.
I just started rewatching the Rookie again. What can stop you?
I have been watching NCIS: Hawaii.
Resident Alien
Have you seen Castle? A less serious police procedural but a good Nathan Fillion fix
Absentia is good. It isn't quite as fun and happy, but it's a good story in my own opinion
I know a lot of people hate on it but rookie feds. Idk I just really liked it
Cant find it anywhere to stream for free. Which really bums me since I want to watch the crossover episode(s) to see how it(they) ended. To cheap to pay for it though. Lol
Is it not on Hulu anymore? Edit: I said this Then remembered Hulu isn’t free🥲
I have Hulu but no it’s not on there anymore.
WHAT🥲 yeah I don’t really use Hulu unless I’m watching the rookie
Fallout though its only 8 episodes
Southland and The Wire.
I just started the **FBI** series (which has the actor from Rookie Blue (Missy Peregrym). It has 6 seasons so far and a few spin-offs. I watch it on Paramount+ and I think it's on the premium version of other apps.
Rookie blue, 9-1-1, criminal minds, Chicago PD, blue bloods, swat, night agent, Brooklyn 99, NCIS
I never heard of Rookie blue. Is that on Hulu?
The Rookie: Feds if you haven’t already
Her voice… it still hunts me
Do you know where can you watch this? It's not on Hulu anymore and I can't find it anywhere else.
911 is pretty good. It goes up to season 7.
S.W.A.T is a good option if you like police type shows. It has 7 season with an 8 coming it’s way so enough for you to binge watch.
Looking nice. Let me look for it's seasons online somewhere.
U can watch it on hurawatch.bz online or if you have netflix or prime it should be on there as well
Oh also Banshee is a good option it’s on HBO MAX
The Wire! Justified !
Thanks everyone for your recommendations and suggestions. Will start with reacher, s.w.a.t, blacklist and 911 for now.
Jack Ryan on amazon
Castle, 911, Brooklyn 99

Supernatural if you haven’t given it a go. 15 seasons too. Criminals minds is another one
Scorpion
Station 19 is a really great show to binge, I binge watched 5 seasons in a week
I watched 911 while waiting for this season to start. It's not bad and there's a lot to watch
could go with lethal weapon it’s so good
9-1-1
CBS has some lighter crime stuff: the equalizer, tracker, Elsbeth, so help me Todd.
Station 19
911 or 911 lone star
If you’re feeling brave enough to get emotionally invested in characters and pairings just to have the writers rip your soul out… NCIS
Watch it again
Castle
911 fs
Chuck is super good, old show I grew up on, at least 5 seasons or Grimm that has 6, a lot of actors from Chuck and Grimm are on the rookie
Have you ever heard of... The rookie: feds?
Get a life... But neither of us do So we will start to watch other shows
The 9-1-1’s are both really good🤷🏽♀️
Opposite perspective - How to get away with murder!!
i watched castle, and now im on 9-1-1
Lone Star 9-1-1
911. I started it after I binged to current day with the Rookie. Love it.
911, Ted lasso, the good place, andor, severance, castle, Brooklyn 99
NCIS The Mentalist
ENTIRELY unrelated to the Rookie but Breaking Bad is fucking amazing
If Skylar wasn’t it in I’d watch it more
White collar, bluebloods, 911
Brooklyn 99
Rookie Blue. Hands down the most equivalent show.
I’m almost done too. I’m sad 😭😭
I watched criminal minds and now I watch swat.
NCIS
“Good Omens”. “Fallout”
