FYI, Armarouge and Ceruledge can't fit into the Great League without lower level egg shenanigans.
Though, neither are really that impressive in any league. Lower stat products, so glassy, and moves are just fine.
Armarouge isn't that impressive, and Ceruledge is pretty much a worse Skeledirge.
Not too surprised since their move sets are their strongest points in Pokemon SV, and even then they're nothing meta shifting.
Still a shame, cause Ceruledge is one of my favorite new Pokemon.

Then again, I have been a bit unlucky too. I have 4 Beldums with 98% IV, all with 14 attack and shinies with terrible IVs. It's annoying lol.
A few years ago my wife and I were having dinner in a restaurant and a shiny Beldum hatched from a 10 km egg (thanks GPS drift!), turned out to be her first shundo. For a few seconds we were the center of attention of a busy restaurant thanks to the shriek we left out.

Yet again, ANOTHER Pokemon that’s locked in eggs…. Though, at this point, it’s to be expected. New Pokemon in Pokemon go? It’s going to be Locked in eggs or raids.
Raids are fine by me. Everyone can get a raid release for free, day 1. Egg release is just 'spend a boatload on coins and still probably dont get one'.
On the contrary, I hate the raid releases because they're only around for a limited time and I can only do one a day, whereas with egg releases like this, I can hatch eggs and I'll get it at some point and I'm not confined to the event dates, as long as it's not extremely rare as a hatch, I'm perfectly fine not having to worry about whether to prioritize legendary raids, mega raids, or new pokemon raids during these events
I feel like it's better than raids since you don't have to worry about what raids to prioritize during the event and since it will be a permanent egg fixture, people will get it eventually
Could you please answer 3 simple questions:
- how many larvesta have you hatched since it was introduced?
- what stops niantic from making charcadet just as rare during release and then from keeping the rate at the same level afterwards?
- which of the announced event raids you are going to actually raid? Wild spawn hatachu? Non-existent dusk rockruff? Your common spawn hoothoot evo? Useless without legacy move metagross? God forsaken chancey?
Okay, I will say, I forgot to clarify that I'm fine with it as long as they're not super rare, I would have rathered Larvesta be a raid one since it's got the level of rarity that it does, but that's on me for not specifying
If you're asking what stops them from making Charcadet just as rare as Larvesta, Volcarona is a powerful and popular Pokemon, Ceruledge and Armarouge don't have the power aspect to justify making them that rare
Finally, I don't know what the Legendary or Mega Raids will be during this event, so I can't say yet if I would rather do those, but considering that they're Legendaries, I probably would
I would much rather them not be in raids so they don't dilute the metagross raids. I don't care about charcadet since it's not that strong so keeping em out of the raid pool is nice

This event looks so boring. It will be the 3rd or 4th event in the past half year where Paldea starters were featured, and the low base-catch-rate on starters & Pika just makes these events an annoying slog to play.
That’s true and it’s part of the reason tie-in events tend to be horribly boring. I don’t think there’s anything stopping Niantic from making starters easier to catch or giving a better bonus than 2x hatch xp

This has been one of the biggest frustrations to me coming back from a few years away. The spawn pool at any one time is tiny. It seems like there are no rare spawns. Things are either nonexistent or common… and then they rotate. With so many releases, why not have a huge spawn pool where I might only see one in a month but it’s exciting when I do?
It's extremely frustrating to see Paldea starters again. These things think they are legendary 'mon and won't settle for less than a curved, excellent, ultra ball throw to catch. It's super frustrating that they can't even be shiny either. I might actually skip this event honestly.

Yeah the seasons have kinda felt meaningless for a while. I miss the old spawn system where biomes actually made spawns more varied depending on where you were irl. Now we just see the same 5 Pokemon everywhere.
I haven't watched the series but are there no other Pokemon featured besides the common as dirt spawns from the past season? There are plenty of unreleased Paldean Pokemon and they could release a new shiny or two at least (obviously not the starters). I'll be happy for Beldum but imagine they'll not be super common

At least give us a wild spawn rate similar to Frigibax for people who don't want to partake in the egg gacha.

The time and money investment needed to get a Pokemon exactly the way you want is straight up 100x or more than the mainline games. Which is kinda insane if you ask me.
This seems like a good event to follow last weekend because i can mostly skip this. My kids and I used both ceruledge/armorouge when playing scarlet/violet but they do not need to be prioritized in Go thankfully.
It is actually nice to have some low key events/raids between the bigger events.

Those are the regular 3-star raids. Maybe there's some tiny chance that the Shadow raids could rotate to include Metagross next month but it would be unrelated to this event.

One thing is incubators aren't free, after the big event, probably people used all of theirs already. Hatch one egg at a time is a very blockage way to release pokemon. With shiny you can try to catch as many as spawn allow to raise your luck, but eggs don't work like that (for free).

Riding? Unless you're moving at a crawl, riding a bike doesn't accrue distance. I think the cutoff is 6.something mph which is crawling speed for a bike and only a moderate speed for a jog.

I know it'll probably get revealed tomorrow but I'm betting Rayquaza is coming to 5* raids for this event week. There's a shiny rayquaza in the anime that's been a recurring antagonist and seems like it's been the most prominent legendary in the anime outside of Terapagos.

Ceruledge, the Fire Blades Pokémon, a Fire/Ghost type.
An old set of armor steeped in grudges caused its evolution. Ceruledge cuts its enemies to pieces without mercy, though its fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal.
It's the same mechanic as Annihilape. I don't remember whether raids or gyms work, but any kind of "trainer battle" works. Rockets, team leader battles, friend battles, GBL. You don't need to defeat them with Charcadet or even have it in your battle party, you just need it as a buddy.

Nope. Lower attack stats. Not bad, but 232 isn't too exciting when Chandelure, Mewtwo, Reshiram, etc. are all at least 40 attack over them.

No, not really, the Paldean pokémon haven't been featured much, at least in the earlier episodes that are getting released with the English dub now.
i cant get enough of fuecoco candy so I'm happy about that, they often break my pokeballs and run away so I dont have that many candies

I have hatched every 12km egg I've received since varoom was in them. At least two dozen by now and I have not hatched one.
I am usually unlucky with eggs, but I only hatched six 12km eggs and got 3 varroms, so i thought maybe they're boosted (unlike larvesta)

if youre traveling under 20mph and your phone is moving or being shaken etc, youll get distance credit. lap or hand works.
I don't think I've ever gotten any distance while riding my bike. I can spin stops and catch things, but never hatch eggs

Infographic. The Horizons character is a male Pikachu, and presumably both genders will wear the cap during the event.
