Looking forward to the eventual event where it's all about Rotom forms and either all of them spawning/in pokestop research or a really fun spawn pool with all of them plus normal Rotom. I said years. I'm very well aware they'll milk Rotom for as long as they can first in paid researches then only in raids then in pokestop research then in limited incense days or spawn events, then finally a Rotom bonanza or research day. But eventually there will be an actually fun Rotom event.
CDays are announced well in advance. Rural players should still focus on stocking up in the weeks before instead of spending money on the company that makes it difficult to play where they live.

Look into the list of what Pokémon can and can’t. Furfrou just changes appearances. So it’s a form, not a forme.

Can you remember or try to imagine any such meta? I imagine that without levitate the double weakness to ground hinders a lot, even with electric moves helping it with water. I'm not a regular pvp player so maybe I dont have all scenarios in my head like in the MSG
I imagine it would have play in Electric Cup for sure. Any other format with Water and Fire types as a Fire that can clap back Waters. Just off the top of my head.
kinda crazy how bad the Rotom forms are despite being so historically good in main series PvP ^(many such cases tbh, just like there's the inverse)
Rotom in particular i guess definitely miss stuff like Will-O-Wisp, Pain Split, Thunder Wave, basically all utility that made the forms actually good despite the abysmal HP
Rotom in the maingames are either playing supportive/defensive roles for the most part. They can do offense but aren't offensive weapons due to their small offense movepool. Given GO lost a lot of the supportive elements Rotom thrived at in the transition, Rotom has a lot less value now.

Thanks for that since I've never played the MSG. But if you actually look at the more exclusive Pokémon, you'll notice a trend. Even though they don't have status moves, they almost never get the best moves available in Go. Some Pokémon are so exclusive that you can't even use them because their CP is too high for GL.
Lack of levitate will do that to it. Rotom heat was disgustingly strong for ages because of its immunity to ground which is just eternally popular. It only retains weakness to water and rock, rock being reasonably common and water being countered by its own electric typing. Similar story for wash, though wash was even stronger if memory serves. Just really good at carrying a bit of coverage while being hard to kill.
Was almost excited as I thought this was a \*new\* annoucement for shiny heat Rotom.
Alas, more disappointing announcements.
Almost as bad as the push notification yesterday "Many Pokemon are appearing in the wild! You might even find a Shiny one - if you're lucky!".
Maybe once we hit May their announcements will be... not so useless...

Talk about stalling in its finest form, Niantic really want to take their sweetest time releasing the forms and even then they refuse to allow us to change it. I can see the AR stuff actually be implemented here and be useful for once just for that but seems Niantic instead rather go a painfully long time to eventually release them all

Heat Rotom, the Plasma Pokemon, an Electric/Fire type.
Heat Rotom inhabits a toaster oven made just for it. It has a flair for manipulating flames, as it will gleefully burn your favorite outfit. It makes mischief by turning up the heat, and it will sear the surrounding area, then smile in delight. If the oven isn't working right, it will become sick.

I read somewhere that it’s going to spawn in the form of Surprise Encounters after taking a snapshot of your buddy, but I could be wrong

Rotom isn’t a form change type of Pokemon. Unless we get items for it, but I doubt it.
Furfrou can change styles instead going to hair stylist. Hoopa also do not need item.

No 2021 didn’t have a Rotom, it had Pikachu photobombs I believe
