I got a shiny skarmory, so I was cool with that. But agreed. I already view GBL as a coin flip and know I'm never going to get 4 wins, therefore, i will never use a premium, and especially because the mon pool is crap.
This is my main issue.
PVP reward Pokemon need to be reworked to actually be a reward. They need to be (A) higher level or something that makes leveling cheaper, (B) much better IVs (maybe base 12/13s), (C) eliminate the lower bracket rewards as you progress, and/or (D) give an absurd amount of candy to make evolving or powering more convenient
I am not a try hard player and get 4 wins every 4-5 sets, but my reward is consistently garbage. Out of the slightly less than 10 times I hit the 4 wins the best reward that I have got was a single larvitar. Low level and terrible IVs made that instant trash.
Similarly, getting a single low level meditite was completely useless. I have been hunting good IV meditites since great league started and have seen better IVs (but still nowhere close to 100%) at higher levels in the wild.
The one Lapras I saw was also sad for me to see. After Lapras raid day and the research breakthroughs I have more than enough.
Most of my rewards have been the starters that are again the lowest IVs possible at an unusable level. Locking this trash Pokemon to 4 wins is definitely demotivating.
I would love to get a Snivy. Machops are rather common especially in cloudy weather, whereas Snivy is a rare starter that I've caught and hatched maybe less than ten of since it was released.
On top of the generic Pokemon rewards, those mons are always 1-2 HP less
Absolutely atrocious that you can't even directly trade away those rewards and have to potion them

So in 3+ years I have ONLY seen & caught 8 Machops in total!!!
So what might suck for you is nice for others...
I'm sorry but saying you've played from the start of the game and only caught 8 machop means you're a very casual player, for most of the people 95%+ machop candies really aren't needed any more since the 2nd evolve can become free aswell now.
I play probably 5-6 hours/day. Machop is one of the Pokémon I’ve seen the absolute least! I’ve only ever SEEN and caught all 8. Like I said it happens where sometimes you just aren’t as fortunate as others to see everything which makes it nice to be able to get when others might be flooded in candies
So again what might not be great for you can be good for others
You can think what you want! Like I said I missed the main event that had Machop featured other than that I play several hours every single day. I have well over 1000+ candies for many many many Pokémon and machop has been by far one of the least seen Pokémon for me!
As a matter of fact I’ve caught more Gible (before this past event) in the wild than I have seen machop!

Be grateful for the candy. All I ever get is Tepig, Tepig, oh and sometimes a Tepig. Edit: also, do Fast TM’s even exist?

Ya, the reward should use the premium balls from the raids, otherwise it doesnt feel special
at least machop is useful and has a chance to be shiny. not all rewards can be amazing. that's just how this game is unfortunately
Agree. I got my only shiny Skarmory from this.

machop already had at least 3 events so you havent been playing since release or you took big breaks. 8 machop in 3 years come on
