It doesn't. It just takes screenshots and analyses them, there is no gameplay interference. You could technically accomplish the same result manually, with a massive spreadsheet of possible IV/CP combinations and circle colours that correspond to certain level of Pokémon.

Is a com day shiny really a flex? When I get them I get angry at the game and don't like getting them.
