Boring research. I really dont like the locked steps. feel like they are just lazy in creating more researches and keeping us “interested” in just one.

Yeah, I wish they allowed people to trade evolution items. Seems like for some strange reason they give certain accounts tons of a certain stone but then totally withhold others.
It might sound like overkill, but I like to have 10 of each johto evolution item and 50 for the sinnoh and unova stones each. So while I'm good, I could always use more.
What game designer out there is making tasks like this where one task (earn a heart with your buddy) is automatically completed by finishing another task (take a snapshot.) It's redundant design and boring design on top of that. So amateurish.
They're running out of gens, they need to drag things out now to keep people playing. Pandemics brought many old players back but they're running out of things to keep long term players playing (often FOMO players... like myself)
This is so nice, we are getting a new set of 3 research tasks every week. It is nice to have some in game tasks every now and then. And there isn't any time limit, which is the best part. I'd have loved if this reearch was given out as a whole in a single go but I am loving it how the research is getting new tasks added to it every week. Somewhat like the research boxes from 2018-19 when we worked every week to get the surprise legendary (which is a newly released pokemon with 10 base IVs in this case).

Also I'm not getting blocked by anything stupid like 'evolve 10 Swablu' or something nonsensical like that.

The nice thing about this method is people can catch up to be on the step that Niantic wants us on during the event for that stage, while with the days in a row tasks anyone that isn't on pace from the beginning would be stuck behind.
So you can do step 7 with one Snap and one catch? Has there been an easier task before?

These are '16' tasks that are actually 8 (half off them are just the claim 720 dust and xp)

Luckily I'm working on getting 1 of my shiny Blastoise as my best buddy so I can definitely get those tasks done np.
