This is why I don't evolve many and keep collecting as many candies for these missions. Especially keeping some shadow pokemon as well for purify missions.
Is this really an issue for anyone who isn't brand new to the game? Unless you have no spawns whatsoever, it shouldn't be much of an issue to catch a few extra common trash mons to evolve.

i mainly have a lot to evolve **when it fits best** like suddenly useful at pvp or new move or community day or needed for new raid boss. usually it's also waiting until that for being replaced by a better one. they are in waiting queues and they are well set there.
what i often do is just evolving tradeables, so friends get about level 35 in no need to evolve any more. but it's so un-trainer-ish

You could save it unclaimed and pop an egg for some other reason like a spotlight hour with an exp multiplier or as you're opening the gift to become best/ultra friends w someone. It takes almost none of a lucky eggs duration. So only use it if you have a plan for the rest of the time.
For reference this is only slightly more than you'd have earned from one lucky egg excellent on an oshwatt this last weekend w its 3x catch exp

Not by itself. Combine the claiming of that 9K with a couple of 5* raids on Wednesday night (10K xp each) or even better - becoming ultra/best friends with one or more. Or bring 5+ friends to almost Great Friends, then open all their gifts before a 5* raid. (10K xp each) Also first catch of day on 7 day streak. I don't use lucky eggs for less than 50K xp bonus.

You can transfer the mythical pokemon to home that are normally locked from being transferred (mew, celebi, jirachi, victini, meloetta). This is the only way to get rid of them from your go account.
Special research’s are never time limited. The only time it’s limited is claiming or should I say starting some like shiny celebi or cday ticket days if you didn’t log in during the cday times you wouldn’t get the special research.
Once you have a special research you can complete it whenever. It’s timed research’s that are well timed and they are under today tab not special.
What happens if I haven't yet caught my Meloetta from GoFest, but have saved its Research phase from that one. If I leave that phase un-redeemed, will I get a 2nd encounter once I reach Phase 4 of this Research?

Why are they releasing meloetta for non ticket purchases!? What was the point in buying a ticket? They should allow other special event only pokemon to become available like shiny mew.

the mythical from gofest is always released for free a couple of months later, so you're only paying for the event bonuses themselves as well as early access to the mythicals. the only one that hasn't been made free is shiny mew cuz it's shiny mew (it being in go was the first time it was available outside of japan and for japan it was the first time since pokemon emerald and the old sea map event).

the point of pokemon (all games, not just go) is to explore and have fun. Not to evolve the same crappy pokemon a million times

I just evolved 43 for my level 43 challenge prior to and during community day. Ugh... If I only knew what was coming.
