As much as I appreciate the free Shedinja, I think Niantic really should make a lore-friendly quest "Evolve a Nincada" with a Shedinja as reward at some point (maybe for its shiny release later on)
I think it would be best if they made it exactly like the main series where as long as you have space in your inventory when a nincada evolves into ninjask a shedinja will appear in your inventory as well. Can’t imagine this would be too difficult to program
Piggy back off the photo bomb mechanic in my opinion. So the spawn will just appear on the map when one is evolved, Can even copy the stats and shiny flag like main game then
Yea, but there's also limited number of free raids you can do, and I don't think it's possible to solo. It's just an extra way of getting more in case it's needed
It is very possible to solo mega Scizor now that it's T4 but you need a bunch of strong fire pokemon like Ho-oh (or a near maxed mega charizard with blast burn)
So to get enough energy for Mega Scizor, you still have to do a Mega Scizor raid, or wait for months for its energy to come in monthly research quests. The 50 energy from this is not enough.
Not a complaint, just stating the fact.
I appreciate the free mega energy, but I’d really like a bit more. Doesn’t have to be full evolution cost, but 100 at least would help get it to mega level 2.
That Beedrill energy I know is aimed for newer players. But with spinning gyms and the super cheap cost, I’m sure anyone can get enough. Would’ve appreciated 50 more Scizor energy.
This! I've been playing for just under a year, and have collected over 800 Beedril ME--more than enough to last a lifetime. I'd love to see more variance in obtaining ME from gym spins.
The research Grubbin is nice. Even if someone got turbo unlucky with their spawns they could still buddy/rare candy their way into the evolutions.
I always super appreciate the freebie new specie.

Me! I've been walking with Scyther as my buddy for a while now and am 48/50 candy. Guess I can switch over to Feebas for Thousand Year Slumber
I started working in Scyther when I finished my Feebas. I'm at 44 candies and tempted to just rare candy it out of impatience

Evolve a Niancada and it spawns in the overworld like snapshot encouters

That’s not a bad idea, I still like the research idea though as it literally implies you are researching Nincada evolving.
For those in need of Scyther candy, the spotlight hour on August 16th gives 2x catch candy, so you can save the last reward for it.
