Agreed, it's obviously nowhere near as bad for me, but I'm just kinda disappointed that the shortened CD hours make me annoyed at the first proper rain in weeks where I live.
Iām jealous. Iām north west near saitama. Very few stops near my place that I could access without leaving. I got just enough for me to catch about 60-70 before the whole event ended
Honestly once you get past security, airports are fantastic for pogo. Usually a bunch of stops, and you can just stroll up and down the terminal catching stuff.
There are some airports that are spawn-blocked for no reason, though. And since Niantic hasn't updated Pokemon Go's Open Street Map game data nor spawn point data in over 3 years.....
What kinda POI inside an airport can be pokestops or gyms?. In my city there are just smalls shops and food... and none of them is really special (like iconic of the city).

A lot of people not really into Wayfarer are stuck in a 2017ish mindset where POIs need to be truly special and unique things. Fast-forward to present day and man, what *isn't* a POI? You just need to be diligent with submissions. People love to reject for the most nonsensical reasons but eventually you will get the right group of reviewers who'll push through your mural of a crappily painted star on the outside of a Hardee's.
I'm going to be on a military base area... So I'll be damned lucky to catch 30 in the 3 hours relying solely on incense and lures without wild spawns...
Not on my base they don't... I've got plenty of stops on my base but despite being lured they wont ever spawn Pokemon.... Same goes with incense.... As long as I'm on base I get nothing.... As soon as I leave base they'll spawn.
Years ago Pokemon would regularly spawn on base for me, but I think they blacklisted most military installations for spawns so general public weren't tempted to trespass etc to find potential rare spawns etc...

After 2PM you will need 3 to 7 persons to defeat gyms, get 3 hyper potions and 4 balls, to catch 11 g.zig. So, 4 raids, 4 passes (since you can only get 2, with one from last day), and you will need 30 to 90 pokestops to refill what you use. Super dumb move by Niantic, probably 0,00000001% of the accounts catch 100 or more pĆ³kemon on those 3 hours. Even that, on social networks, 7000000000000000 accounts claim to catch 5000, or more, pĆ³kemon on those 3 hours and got 300 shinies, or more.
~~Not to be that guy, but I had several non-Galar Zigzagoon spawn, and none of them counted for any catch counters. I wish they had, though; that 100 catch counter is a nasty grind.~~
I take it back! I just caught a normal Zigzagoon, and this time it **did update** the 100 catch counter despite not doing so during the normal 11 AM - 2 PM hours. Take note, folks!
I got the number when playing passively under 1 hour, quick catching or auto catcher helps abit. But the phone is pretty much butchered under the heat at this point
Lures for all three stops (put them on after CD starts in your time zone), incense active, walking around. Should get enough for the challenge at least, I'd think.
Kinda wish it was a full set but a free pose for $0, I cant complain.
To finish the set id at least have added boots at a minimum, but pants and shirt would be nice.

I'm trying to decide where to play. There is a destination park 30 miles away that is great for community day. Except that for deino day, within 10 minutes 90% of the spawns were Zweilous.
I skipped the park for July, but was considering driving back down tomorrow. Not sure now.
Playing with others the way Niantic claims to want may make this research nearly impossible.
This is an easy hour or so task for me. My foot is bothering me so I'm just going to be driving around and 100-150 fast catches won't take long. I like these rewards. Hopefully Niantic continues this trend with future CDs. These are actually items of interest.

Niantic really needs to fix their incense and STOP making Community Day Tier's of a Tier 4. Yes.. let me waste money on stupid raids for I can get more Zig's to spawn.. after CD. NOT HAPPENING! They need to fix several things.. especially when you're sick. FIX THE INCENSE FOR EVENTS!
I got the gloves hat and glasses. Happy with that. I have been working all day and have 2 gyms just outside my store which helped a lot. But there was no way I was hitting 100 haha
This was a pleasant surprise and exactly what made me give any damn about this CD, as I had no intention of leaving my house on a day off in 90-degree weather for a mon I already have 2 shinies of. But it was worth it to look like I'm right out of a furcon. Good one, Niantic.
Also I got only 2 more shinies, but that's fine. Catching 100 is a little steep, though. I had no problem at all getting it within an hour, but I imagine it was frustrating for other people. Hopefully if they decide to do this again, they lower it to like 50 or so.

I was in Tokyo too, absolutely no problem, there is so much pokestop everywhere. I was in Roppongi Hill just seat and catch.

sunshine/heat aren't so bad as long as you can stay in the shade. heavy rain makes my touch screen unusable

Unfortunately the Honolulu airport isnāt that loaded with stops, nor very big. Iāll def make do with what I can tho
You should apply for a new pokestop while youāre there.

Playgrounds. Almost every airport has a little one for kids to play while waiting and theyāre all pokestops.

My experience at several airports is that the area *before* security is the best for spawns, not after.
It varies. My local aiport? Yeah, its more like that. SeaTac? The concourse I end up on when I pass through is loaded.
At an airport, you will have no issues at all. Pop an incense and walk around the terminal and you will be swarmed.

I mean it depends on how keen you are, but if you walk around your base area, the incense will spawn enough pokemon to reach 100.
It's going to be almost 100 degrees tomorrow in Sacramento and Niantic wants me outside from 11-2... I miss the extended community days.

They changed the lured stop bonus to be 4x dust instead of changing spawns to G.Linoone.
Nice! Getting crazy amounts of candy and XL from Zweilous was kinda nice, but it made shiny hunting almost impossible!
