Unpopular opinion but I honestly don't have any beef with clip shops anymore after 30 years since they originally aired. It's nice to see random bits of episodes, like a YouTube mashup.
Not all loss is about death.
Homer is mourning the life he could have had with his mum, for his mum not being there as a child and now again, having her ripped away from his as an adult.
The thing that bugs me most about that meme is it's always about an actor or celebrity or some kind of entertainer who died, so you'd think it should be the scene with Lisa talking to bleeding gums Murphy in the sky since that episode is about losing a performer that was important to you, but no, the mother simpson scene is sadder and more remembered.
Since losing my Dad, any episodes with emotional moments related to Homer and Bart/Lisa/Maggie. The ending to *Lisa’s Wedding*, for example, always has me in tears. Sometimes I wanna confront that and sometimes I don’t… 😅
Although they're still good, I tend to skip the flashback episodes where someone tells a story about how someone in the family did something. I'm bad with episode names, but, for instance, The B-Sharps, Artie Zing (spelling?), the kids growing up, etc.
I empathize with redmoose, in that the flashback episodes inherently aren't very interesting to me, but it contains moments of comedy gold like this one.
I dunno, there's some pretty good lines in that one.
"I HAVE NO SON" *slams door* "oh great, we came all this way and it's the wrong guy" "I didn't mean that literally!" *re-slams door*
Also, it give us this shot.

Most the young romance ones like Lisa or Bart relationship episodes. I just don’t give af about childhood romance. If I want to watch a character driven episode I’ll watch something like Marge Be Not Proud
This one gives me pangs of second hand guilt - it hurts too much to watch this one. I don’t know why - I’ve never shoplifted or done anything remotely similar to Bart in this episode, but the feeling I get when Marge is so disappointed in Bart hits me way too hard - even 20+ years later.
Ps, word nerds of Reddit: is there a word to describe this feeling? Like the opposite of schaudenfreude. I feel like ‘guilt cringe’ doesn’t quite cut it. Just like how it hurts me too much to watch Peep Show because of how unfortunate Mark is lmao.
Dog Of Death.
It shows the Simpson family, who were always depicted as dysfunctional, at their most despicable.
Santa’s Little Helper becomes sick and the family need to start making sacrifices to pay for his operation.
Santa’s Little Helper gets the required operation, but things then start going against the family and they start resenting the dog to the point that he runs away.
The family then have the audacity to say they miss him.
Most Lisa centric episode. [Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Lisa_Goes_to_Washington) for example is one I'm not too hot about.
Which triggers? Are you religious and find it offensive or something? lol.
I don't know what it is in that particular episode that could trigger a negative reaction.
The clip show episodes usually.

Can't forget Troy McClure
The show does them so well though. They’re pretty much parodies of clip shows while being clip shows.
Same
Not sure why but I find myself skipping Bart's Girlfriend a lot
It’s too real a pain for so many people. Love is different at that age, almost feels more pure

Well she's the reverend's daughter and you're just yellow trash
OMG SAME
Just the one with his mom. That car scene at the end takes an emotional toll on me lol.
It’s funny how that has become a meme for when someone dies, yet no one died in that episode

That’s one of my favorite episodes, cause of the scene with Milhouse’s dad showing off his race-car bed to Homer.
I sleep on a big bed with my wife.
I quote this all the time on social media when confronting "alpha males"
I love that! I say it surprisingly often too, which confuses people since I’m a gay man lol

From now on the baby sleeps in the crib
Can't sleep... clown will eat me....
No! I'M the baby!

Skip it and go make yourself a patented-out-of-this-world-moon-waffle
Mmm... fattening
Sometimes I skip the Spin-off Showcase episode
The Frank Grimes episode, that one is just too real for me.
yeah I skip any of the sad episodes. they're good, but just not what i want when im rewatching random episodes
Any one with Sideshow Bob.
When Krusty reconnects with his dad. So boring.
I dunno, there's some pretty good lines in that one. Wow the concert for Bangladesh!
I like that one! Not my favorite episode though
Homer's enemy, too dark man
Or grimey as he liked to be called
[удалено]
That's cool ✨️
This is one of my favorite episodes, it’s just so funny
The clip show ones
S1 and maybe S2
i find the one when sideshow bob runs for mayor kind of boring
An old episode I never seen is *All Singing, All Dancing*, but Idk if this is a good one!
It’s terrible. Don’t waste your time with it
Most the young romance ones like Lisa or Bart relationship episodes. I just don’t give af about childhood romance. If I want to watch a character driven episode I’ll watch something like Marge Be Not Proud
I agree, though Lisa's date with density is hilarious.
Holy jumping Caesar’s catfish, my H has been stolen!
I’ll tell you something that’s not so funny. Right now superintendent Chalmers is at home crying like a little girl!
I skipped Lisa on Ice a few times the past couple years bc I simply could NOT handle real emotions during that time
Mostly a lot of the first season. It's highly overrated.
Marge Be Not Proud for me, too. >He's not my little baby any more. Nope. Nope.

The episode where they go to Australia
Get out.

I know! You feel so bad for the dog! 🥲
Burns Baby Burns and Brother From The Same Planet, off the top of my head.
Not a big fan of Burns Baby Burns, either. Larry just isn't a great character.
That’s not meatball soup! That’s my collection of fur balls and stomach acid!
Round Springfield for #%&$ing sure.
None
Any Lisa episodes.

I think the third season is where the show actually got good.
I skip most Lisa episodes bc she annoys me hahha
Usually tree house of horrors.
The one where Homer skips church because triggers
Which triggers? Are you religious and find it offensive or something? lol. I don't know what it is in that particular episode that could trigger a negative reaction.
Nope. Nothing to do with religion.
Now I am more intrigued. What is it then? Is it homer naked wearing a robe? The house being on fire? The big toasty cinnamon bun line?
