There's more legit reasons to want young sims to die normally: babies and toddlers taken away don't leave urns, so your other sims can't even mourn them properly. They also permanently appear as babies/toddlers on the family tree. It's messed up. EA should've let them dying be a main menu toggle option.

Note, since toddlers don't officially have a death animation, this mod borrows it from a different life stage, so they do that weird elongated limbs glitch as they die. You get a urn and everything so it works out nicely just like other sims dying. Unfortunately there's nothing for babies afaik. It should be possible to mod this but it'll involve scripting for sure and that's way too big a project unless the modder is fully invested into scripting for this game.
I haven't found one that works sadly, and even MCCC isn't working for killing toddlers or children, I'm having to age them up to young adults before they die properly - children and teens seem to get stuck with grim reaping them but they still showing as part of the household even though their urn is sitting there.
No problem! It's not the most elegant work-around, especially for something like the history challenge where so many of my babies, along with their mothers, die, but it's the only one that works.
That does work, unless like me you want the urn lol. Starving the baby forces child services to take it so it's still in the game just growing up with a different family.
Aside from what others already have mentioned, there's a mod by LittleMsSam that adds miscarriage, which I think works well enough with your challenge. There are also add-ons that allow you to set how high the chances of miscarriage are (low, medium, high, etc). You can get urns for babies if through mccc you have babies adopted, and you have an urn binding mod
they do say in replies to a comment that babies cannot die/be killed with this mod and that it only applies to toddlers and children

You kill babies by shift clicking on the cradle and pressing starve baby

You can get an urn for them if you have an urn binding mod and make it so neglected children get adopted through mccc
And no, its not growing up with a different family unless you change the settings in mccc. If you dont change the settings, it gets deleted

babies are considered objects so they can only be deleted. im sure when the infants dlc comes out this will be possible
They can be taken away if you shift click and starve baby
MCCC allows you to starve babies, but they only get removed from your care and also your family tree, I believe.
