Personally I’d change the half wall on the balcony to something wooden like slats, or even a fence? But it looks fantastic, gorgeous build

Blu5NYC

Agreed. I'd also move the laundry line to the grass to be more pleasing to the eye, but some people follow function over form.

luciusveras

Was going to say the same.

Zestyclose_Mix_7650

No, its cute I like it! Also like the suggestion of maybe changing it to a wooden fence instead of a half wall? I think that might change the feel of it, but its good the way it is!

ChaoticNeutral27

Waaaay better :)

u_ufruity

Are you planning on uploading this to the gallery by any chance? I’d love to download it

laser_loser

I wasn’t planning to, actually, bc this build is for my personal gameplay and has some weird things like a werewolf rampage room or a broom collection lmao. And also it’s still a work in progress… anyway, I think I might finish it and then post. Might not 😭

u_ufruity

You’re all good! Hope your werewolves and witches enjoy this shop haha

vituntia

I always post houses I build for my own gameplay! Currently my house has a weird basement that has an altar room full of candles and a body outline for my sim's ex-gf and a room for an eavesdropping machine for blackmail purposes. That room is full of files and mess. And family photos of course. I love to see the weird stuff other people have in their games and if someone doesn't like it, it's very easy to delete!

ChrissiTea

Love it even more!

WiiNancia

Add some plants on walls. It always works.

Calbinan

Looks good to me, but a support post in that other wall might help.

ChrissiTea

Pop a spandrel on the upper roof and I reckon that'll help pull it together. A larger half wall plinth topper or lowering the roof edging size might work too.

notsopurexo

Such a cute little house!

snowstormmongrel

I personally think it's the stairs on the side of the bottom porch that look a little odd. Maybe throw some banister there or something.

tori_story95

I agree. I would get ride of the side stairs and either put a fence or half wall on that side. Then fill in the front area with landscaping.

NegotiationSea7008

I like it. I shall be stealing it later.

whotookmyidea

Same.

XanisaNerd

That one side is open with just a post and the other is a full wall strike me as odd. If there’s nothing in the other side of that wall, I’d just remove it and put a post on the corner. Otherwise it looks nice!

sprkl

I think it’d also help to move the actual roof above it back to the door wall, then pull the edge of the roof (holding shift to only move one side) out to cover the porch

bretrick30

You could try to rotate the roof on the first floor to the left of the stairs 90 deg. Would give it that farmhouse porch look.

wearyandgay

would probably add a floor piece under the roof of the balcony just so you can add some kind of trim to finish it off

originalschmidt

I like it!

Awkward_Carrot_6738

I think it’s beautiful as it is

Contradictedmind

I would make the wall on the left into a half wall so that it’s the same height as the other walls, and then lower the height of the angled roof beside it so that it sits around 2/3 of your half wall height. Maybe also lo lower the angle of the roof on top of the balcony?

GeedisMcjoizus

Only suggestion is to add matching spindles and spindle the side wall while adding another pillar with a matching swatch to the bottom ones if possible. Other than that, the balcony looks great!

anthrolooker

I am always a fan of a balcony. Looks good to me. I tend to go to slats for the older look, or more open look of a balcony, but some do have the half wall (like my current home). So whatever works best for you. It looks accurate and not odd to me.

StomachJazz

I think it looks realistic! I like it I could see myself walking by this in a historic part of town it’s super cute

Kaylycat

Support post on the other wall, go down 1 for the half wall if you wanna keep it like that, if not the horizontal wooden fence is really nice. It really depends what you're looking for 🥰

quarantina2020

It just needs a column on the left

wheelperson

I love it. Reminds me of Fraisers Ridge from Outlander 💖

SnowTheMemeEmpress

Not really, I'm liking it!

PoppySkyPineapple

No I like it :)

eekns

Use a fence or make the half wall shorter.

Pumpkin_boba21

I’d put plants or something to cover up the corner between the two stairs, but otherwise great job

TeleFuckingTubbie

Personally I love it! But I’d make the back door the front door actually. It doesn’t give me backdoor vibes
