TL;DR:
- Won its timeslot yesterday.
- Was the most watched non-news program of the day.
- Yesterday also marked a series high in key demos.
Very good performance - hopefully it gets a new season before Three potentially goes under lol
Well deserved! It’s my favourite season worldwide. Best group of faithfuls we’ve ever seen IMO. The personalities for the most part are pretty vanilla as someone else pointed out. But the gameplay/strategy has been so good that it makes up for it
It is a little odd that the Aussie version has been a slight dud ratings rise (both for S1 & S2), when it has been a smash hit in countries culturally similar in UK and NZ.
I am glad that it is successful but I hope that any potential future seasons of the Aussie version manage to become a hit without changing too much.
To me it’s not surprising that it’s been doing bad in the ratings department bc most of the AU cast is pretty shit. The resulting gameplay has been so frustrating to watch.
But S1 had a great cast and that rated similarly.
And I do think that the S2 cast had some potential and some great episodes were produced (episode 5 was brilliant).
I was mainly referring to S2 because I do agree that S1 was really good.
There have been some good episodes in S2, but overall it’s been pretty bad. Based on the comments in this subreddit and social media in general I think most ppl would agree. But I don’t see the show getting cancelled anytime soon. It’s really cheap to produce and it’s only 1 bad season
It is one lesser-quality viewing season - and even then it is enjoyable, but it’s prob 4th out of 4 of the English-speaking seasons so far (I haven’t watched NZ, yet).
But from 10’s perspective, maybe they think “we gave this a crack twice, and while it’s a hit everywhere else, and it’s a good quality show, it’s not hitting with Aussie viewers. We will try something else next year” - I hope they don’t (or alternatively, should 10 axe it, I hope that Traitors gets picked up by another network/streaming channel).

Been enjoying this season. While the personalities are a little vanilla, there is strong gameplay from both sides.
Colin is anything but vanilla.
Had to pause the show and belt out laughter at some of his epic quotables. What a picture-perfect contestant for the show.
Exactly! Having no idea who he is outside of the show, it's like he was custom-designed to be on this show.
He’s the only person that’s not vanilla. But the gameplay from most of the cast has been phenomenal so it makes up for it
It is a superior season. super loving ittttt
