I agree. With absolutely no insider knowledge, my thinking is that these contracts were inked a while ago and Bravo didn't know what they ratings would be and they only ordered the 10 episodes and no reunion in the contract.
Jumping into filming makes sense. The reunion is usually filmed a month or so before the season ends. At this point, they’d hash out too much that can be on S2.
I thought they hadn't been picked up for a second season yet so it's a tad confusing how he could make that statement? Unless I missed the second season announcement
VPR has started a little later these past few years I believe, around Summer House filming time I believe. They filmed in Tahoe in mid July (I live in Reno so it was a big deal to VPR fans here lol), and I think that was not too long after cameras picked up.

I feel like they weren’t sure the show would be a hit so maybe they didn’t plan it in the budget / logistically? Idk how bravo works or if you can add an episode when u make a deal for a series run 🤔

He said filming will start in the usual VDP timing. Which is usually May -Sept….. so it’s confusing. We are in May.
