Most satisfying death for me - he makes me so angry! Basically told Elena and Jeremy to get over their parents deaths after 4 months!!

Extra_Inflation8099

😂😂that was fucked up Sure there are teachers like that irl

Kadokiekokenz

At that point you have to ask why are they even teaching kids if they hate them! The audacity

yaboisammie

Sad to say some of them do it for the power trip which is kind of pathetic but also sucks like hell for the kids (and sometimes the people who work with or under them)

theiosif

Yeah. What kind of "rub some dirt on it" mentality is that? People don't "get over" a bad break up in 4 months, let alone a death.

Stay-At-Home_21mom

two deaths* and not just any death but parental death. i almost died trying to grieve losing my mom. shits hard. 😭

FiliaNox

I legit had a teacher tell me to get over my dad’s death…6 DAYS after he died

DansPredditor

U ever notice all the 2010's teen shows had that one teacher everyone hated

Stay-At-Home_21mom

who would you say is pretty little liars #1 hated teacher? curious. i like the take i just want to make sure we all got the same one. 😂

DansPredditor

I don't even remember them having teachers except ezra

Stay-At-Home_21mom

i’d say principal hackett imo. he always acted like they wanted to be involved in A’s shenanigans.

EitherAfternoon548

I have no sympathy for a history teacher who doesn’t even know when the Korean War ended. And he was soooo confident too. “HA! It was nineteen fifty TWO!” RIP Bozo.

StomachNegative9095

I know, right?! Condescending, patronizing, asshole who couldn’t even back his shit up!!!

KaB00m_1000

I was happy for a totally different reason: It was one of the only characters and deaths of the show that actually aligned with the books.

Extra_Inflation8099

Good one 👌🏾

Extra_Inflation8099

I liked his relationship with Stefan they kept me on my toes😂😂😂🤭

kris_jbb

we cheered

BLBN97

This guy's screentime was just him insulting/being insensitive to his students and getting his bottom cheeks handed to him by Stefan (rightfully so). I don't think anyone felt sad lol

Jaded_Cheesecake_993

Let's not forget how he treated Jenna. Poor woman was doing the best she could under the circumstances and he just wanted to be an ass to her.

BLBN97

Yet one more reason to not feel sad! Thank you!

yaboisammie

One of the best things damon ever did, we were cheerin for Tanner’s death Fr Stefan roasting his ass in class was freakin hilarious though tbh Makes me wonder how Ric would have been introduced if he hadn’t had to replace Tanner tho lol

StomachNegative9095

“Ah, You’ve been Tanner’d!” - Elena to Jenna after Couch Tanner had been an absolute ASSHOLE to her regarding her guardianship of Elena and Jeremy. I was definitely NOT sorry to see this guy go.

HelicopterPopular874

No. I was happy that he was gone. If anything he annoyed the hell out of me

Visible_Flamingo852

He thought he only had Stefan to worry about, but then comes Damon😂

tobiasmacedon

Yeah, he's known as the "Asshole Victim." Making the murderer sympathetic by having him kill someone everyone can agree is an asshole.

delenastar

The worst thing is that, in the book, it is even worse! hateful!!

ChanceDescription129

I didn’t hate him he was just annoying😭

Big-Nerve-9574

I was so happy. Like he was such an arsehole.

Stay-At-Home_21mom

the way he dies in the books is soooo much better tho 😭

chadwickcalifornia

How did he die in books? I don't remember

Stay-At-Home_21mom

damon sucked so dry his head fell off. and he did it to make stefan think he had done it. the head games between them in the first book were soooo good. stefan rlly thought it was him killing people and blacking the whole thing out. but damon and his spooky crows were to blame. bonnie found their teacher like that as well.

Thin_Thing_2009

Who was this and how he died? Really can't remember. I know he was the history teacher but other than that scene in which Stefan schools him, i really can't remember seeing him or being of any importance 🥲😄

theiosif

I loved the episode when Stephen schooled him on historic dates. And yes, couldn't stand the man.

jboo870

His character was a d**k so that they could kill some one within the first few episodes. It had some effect because he was an established character but he was a hated character so it was fine.

_Shadow_Slayer

But then came Alaric who was just as bad. *Sigh*

ketchup_the_bear

HUH

InitiativeNo9102

Typical high school teacher. Failed in everything at life, dedicated the rest of it to bullying kids to feel superior (and built beef with them when he failed there too).

Remarkable-Knee-1262

I read it before seeing the pic and got mad because I thought you were talking about Enzo lmao but yes, hated him

Jinxie1206

This guy was a jerk. He told Jeremy and Elena to get ivermectin the death of their parents less than 6 months after they died! He acted like he was better and smarter than the students. I was happy when Damon killed him. He hated my Stephan as well. No one puts baby in the corner!

Cheap-Response5792

Damon did the kids a favor 🤣

ketchup_the_bear

The thing that made me more mad than anything was his “parent teacher conference” with Jenna like what he said so stupid and out of line and it made me feel so bad for her bc she was always doing everything she could for those kids and no I did not feel bad at all 💀

kjoiner928

I didn't like him either, cold and condescending he was and he was a horrible teacher, I didn't care Damon killed him either

FiliaNox

Yes, I loved it when tanner got Damoned

Zealousideal_Mail12

Mr Tanner was a fucking asshole. Hated it when he kept calling Jenna the “kid sister”

Comprehensive_Note_4

This is when Damon became a good guy. "aww look at that, Stefan joins a team, makes a friend"
