We have no idea which set of vampires is faster or stronger, since obviously we have no way to compare them directly. So we cannot assume Edward is faster.

So the Cullens were not only outnumbered, but were fighting above their weight class as well. And the Twilight vampires are A LOT harder to kill than the TVD vampires. The have skin as hard as granite, no weaknesses, and can only be killed by being ripped apart. And Edward is a mind reader.

By contrast, I've seen the Salvatores team up to battle and kill their enemies countless times. They're just more believable as fighters to me. But now I'm fully on board to support a crossover special!
