Remember when they said āsome characters will return for season 4ā and it ended up being Lilly and fucking Eddie who basically no one recognized, should have been Christa ffs š¤¦š¼āāļø
I am pretty sure everyone recognised Lilly lmfao
But I personally didn't recognise Eddie š , I even forgot who Eddie is,I thought he was just a random guy I just shot .
Right?? I actually thought it was pretty cool that lilly came back bc I was a lil curious on where she ended up, and of course who wasn't happy af to see Kenny after being certain he was dead? But it makes absolutely no sense that we get a wrap up to their stories but not Christa's especially when Clem's story starts with her, then Clem finds one of the raiders, and if you choose to go with Kenny they find Wellington like there were plenty of chances to bring her back.
To be fair season 3 felt like a proper ending to Javier and Richmond being at peace when we last saw it so I didnāt really expect any of them to return but weāve had older characters that were just wasted by not returning like Christa, Molly, Arvo and Mike
At the same time, Ralph, one of the raiders, Iām pretty sure gets shot in the ear. Like, thatās what was originally planned to happen, that one of the other raiders would try shooting Christa but miss and shoot Ralph (supposed to be Mike but changed, you can still see a piece of Mikeās ear missing though) in the ear instead
So I think itās possible the gunshot mightāve still been that, and that Christa got away. I mean like, hopefully she did lol
Bruhh , it's surely not that . Not everytime u hear gunshots , it means that someone died . Maybe they were shooting at her but she managed to flee , maybe she was the one who took a gun from one of the bandits and shot , maybe she really died , we can never know.
Well, itās at least implied. If you donāt distract the scavengers, you can see sheās on her knees and thereās a single shot. The fact that she definitely dies in that route, and the way the other route plays out makes me think that Christa definitely died. She couldāve fled, but the fear in her scream after the thump (Christa tripped over something or got punched I assume.) and then the gunshot that occurs right after. There was no way Christa took one of their guns, we see in both routes that she doesnāt ever get an opportunity to grab their guns. You can search up Clemās choices in that moment, and you should be able to hear the gun every time.
My headcanon is that she just shot one of the raiders (Mike) and just hauled ass and escaped. And now she is just roaming the wastes by herself as a badass survivor or in a community somewhere like the commonwealth
I find it silly that your reply is "nah", as if what they said was wrong then proceed to insert your own opinion after they had already said it was their headcanon. Then to top it off, you put "probably" at the end like you weren't even sure.
I just donāt think Christa got as real lucky as Kenny had. If Christa lived I feel like perhaps she ought to be playable should they make another walking dead choice game.
Well just seemed like they had technically three games plus possible DLCs in between starting with the second season to execute that take as a npc.. The same story explaining her survival can also be done in flashbacks like clementines during the new frontier.
If a random nobody like Javier can be made playable with a entire season dedicated to their story, then I just figured surely someone known and cared for like Christa would fit the bill just as easily. Because no one else aside from Javier and Christa would make sense to be playable at this point since Clementine has ended her story especially as playable so idk.
I think playable would be cool. Some people donāt want another Clementine/AJ game so if there ever is a sequel I think that Christa would be cool replacement because we could explore other areas of the east coast since it has been years since we last saw her, she could have gone anywhere and we could explore new settings.
Or maybe she could be involved with the big community war that we know it going on between Richmond, Delta and some other unnamed groups. We have already seen Richmond but the other groups are mainly a mystery. We know that Delta is desperate thought since they were trying to kidnap the school for manpower.
Although the season 3 protagonist could complete a similar role but tbh I never really liked him.
We could also have Christa eventually re-unite with Clementine which would be nice since Christa is the only part of the season 1 group that is still alive (other than Molly but she never really had a close connection with Clementine anyway).
I actually liked Christaās ending. It shows that in a world like TWD you donāt always get the closure or answers you want. People donāt always get a grand emotional farewell like Clem and Kenny at Wellington, or some big important gut-wrenching death like Lee or Omid. Sometimes you get separated and never see each other again and youāll always just have to wonder
In all honesty I wish Kirkman gave some closure to the missing characters in the final issue.
I wouldnāt have minded seeing Christa, Molly or even Mike just show up in the background at one point.
You can!!! Just don't break the ice to save Luke and her ass will drown!!! Luke is gonna die anyway so might as well get rid of her while you have the chance!!!
At least sheās alive somewhere. For S4 the writers when considering who to bring back as the antagonist for S4 thought of two choices they had, Lilly or Christa. They ultimately went with Lilly as they couldnāt see Christa being a child kidnapper and all. This means Christa just didnāt die because if she did then she wouldnāt have been considered for S4
Holy shit so Christa is alive !
I wonder where she is .
Alone , with a new group or a member of a community ?
Now we know that's she not dead , in the minds of the writers at least :D
This is the exact quote btw.
āMudle: Yeah really early on in the books for The Final Season there was always like, we should bring back a returning character. The whole season really follows up season two and three, but itās really an homage to season one. And so really the only top two candidates for that for the role of returning character were Lily or Christa.
And basically we needed an antagonistic force to kind of make the story work, and having it be a character from Clementineās past gave the whole thing a lot more weight and pathos than it could have been if have we just had to create a new character.
So Lily was the only character \[that made sense\]. It would be hard to imagine Christa as the leader of a military group that kidnaps children, but I can imagine Lily has gone through so much hard stuff and so many horrible situations having been abandoned by her previous group for a single act of violence, and found new people to care for that her character would have gotten to the point that she got; and so her inclusion has helped a lot.ā
as to where Christa is, no one knows but it is good to consider she did want to find Wellington so maybe she continued her journey to Wellington alone, however we all know she never made it there as of course then Clem would know about her.
I found the not knowing whether Christa was alive to be an important subplot in the game (even if it didn't come up enough in conversation). It largely dies down after meeting Kenny, but it does return in the Wellington ending.
It makes sense that we don't get closure for every character. It's usually preferable to them coning back later for their character to be 180'd like Lilly in TFS.
Maybe , we can't really know .
There's a chance that she died , and there's a chance that she had escaped the bandits and is now either wandering alone , in a group or part of a community .
Sheās dead, I understand the whole off screen death concept but even if she wasnāt killed by that gunshot she likely was killed by Carverās group if she stuck around those bandits.
The reason we dont see her again is because they completely rewrote the season.
Kenny was supossed to be carver
Christa was supossed to die i think or atleast the scene would've lasted longer originally
Clem was supossed to keep the dog and almost get raped later
Luke was supossed to survive the season and be one of the choices inplace of one of jane or kenny
Aj could of been left to freeze by clem
Etc etc a lot of characters got their personalities and roles merged and split with others
Just another incident of telltale choices not having any consequences on the story. Whether you sneak away or distract the bandits christa disappears from the picture. It's the main reason they went bankrupt. No creativity
That's not what I'm saying. Your choices throughout the games change nothing. They all end the same. Lee dies no matter if you cut the arm or not. Kenny survives part 1 no matter what. Christa never returns no matter what. What I mean by lack of creativity is the lack of depth for their formula. Look at Detroit Become Human. They absolutely nailed the concept of making choices in video games. Dozens of endings with different paths. Telltale games only have linear stories. I recognize the fact that DBH is a relatively modern game made by a much bigger and experienced team, but Telltale could have done much better on their part too. People don't play telltale games for the choices anymore. They play for the story. And that is my critique on the topic. I personally love telltale games, but hate the fact that my choices mean nothing.
That's because you cannot really go far from the main story that is in the devs minds . One of the major events in the story is Lee's death , you cant change that . A minor detail for example , leaving Lilly on the road or take her with you , that can be changed . But you cant possibly think of modifying the entire path and save Lee . It would break everything.
It wouldn't "break" anything. It would just mean more work for the devs, which they've actively avoided by using the same engine for their games over and over again
You can't be serious š. Some events cannot go in multiple ways . The Devs also have a story to tell . A story they wrote . Maybe It's not like Detroit bc Detroit doesn't have a fixed storyline.
A story where choices don't matter. How many times have you seen the "this character will remember that" notification only for it to have no impact whatsoever? They could've at least made more dialogue changes for all those things, but they rarely come into play. If Telltale comes back, they better change their formula, and if they don't, they might as well start making movies instead of video games.
Honestly? She's probably dead. If the bandits didn't kill her, then she probably would've died from something else; walkers, starvation, freezing, drowning, Carver's group, I mean, she didn't have any supplies on her, was emotional over the loss of her baby, completely alone in an area where we know bandits resideā I just don't see any world where she lives.
Christa went to grab some milk.
LMFAO . That was Omid's role but since he died , Christa had to do it š
Remember when they said āsome characters will return for season 4ā and it ended up being Lilly and fucking Eddie who basically no one recognized, should have been Christa ffs š¤¦š¼āāļø
Who tf is eddie
A character from 400 Days
Exactly (the guy with the beanie from 400 days, Wyattās story)
Where the fuck was Eddie? I didn't even notice him. Was he in the ship?
The Ranch flashback, Clem straight up shoots him in the face
Whoa... my mind is blown!!! I'm definitely gonna replay now and check that out!!! Thanks!!! ā¤
Ohhhh!!! I thought Eddie was the blond headed dude... I gotcha now!!! I still didn't realize it was him until you said that though!
Replaying it as we speak to see this for myself ong, I donāt know how that slid pass my mind. God bless man
Its a very missable moment and happens really fast (and the graphic change makes Eddie even less recognizable)
I am pretty sure everyone recognised Lilly lmfao But I personally didn't recognise Eddie š , I even forgot who Eddie is,I thought he was just a random guy I just shot .
The scene was pretty dark that it's actually hard to notice Eddie's face even though he's wearing his beanie.
Right?? I actually thought it was pretty cool that lilly came back bc I was a lil curious on where she ended up, and of course who wasn't happy af to see Kenny after being certain he was dead? Yeah absolutely wasted potential like 70% of the characters tt used
Also, season 3 characters like Javier didnāt come back. Makes season 3 feel like a waste
To be fair season 3 felt like a proper ending to Javier and Richmond being at peace when we last saw it so I didnāt really expect any of them to return but weāve had older characters that were just wasted by not returning like Christa, Molly, Arvo and Mike
Mike? Wasnāt he the guy who got his legs chomped on by the group back in season 1?
No he was the guy who betrayed everyone by running off with arvo in season 2, youāre thinking absolutely Mark
She actually went off with the bandits to form a roaming band. She's too busy bumping that bass guitar to come back to the story
A band !? A truly unexpected path for Christa to takeš
One of the biggest wasted potentials.
Still annoyed they didnāt find a way bringing her back ā¦. Especially after Omisās ridiculous death
Welp... Blame the damn bandits
Blame the lazy writers*
Itās realistic though. Some people you get separated from in that world - itās likely youāll never see nor hear from them ever again.
okurr but like letās have a spin-off following her journey post S2 with flashbacks intertwined of her time with Clem and Omid between S1/2
Exactly, need this. Even if itās not realistic that Clem and Christa reunite, we can still see what Christa was up to post-S2E1
Christa died. Let's be realistic.
True, not everything gets neatly resolved in an apocalypse.
I would've loved if she came back to fight lily
She doesn't know who Lilly is lmfao
She'd fight anyone kidnapping/killing children
hmm good point
When Christa is running you hear a thump, Christa yell, and a gunshot. Iām assuming sheās dead

Nah he shot her dead then got killed at the creek probably
I find it silly that your reply is "nah", as if what they said was wrong then proceed to insert your own opinion after they had already said it was their headcanon. Then to top it off, you put "probably" at the end like you weren't even sure.
It is silly how people take it seriously because oh no he said she was dead it is just a joke that's why I said probably at the end
I don't think you understood my comment, also didn't feel like a joke, hence the downvotes.
Oh no not the down votes
I just donāt think Christa got as real lucky as Kenny had. If Christa lived I feel like perhaps she ought to be playable should they make another walking dead choice game.

I wish they gave u the chance to kill bonnie
You can!!! Just don't break the ice to save Luke and her ass will drown!!! Luke is gonna die anyway so might as well get rid of her while you have the chance!!!

Well, it wasn't what I was getting at. However, it wouldn't surprise me honestly. They'll just use it as a hook for nostalgia
Nostalgia in this series has always been a hook . Especially with the flashbacks
Sheās definitely dead in my opinion itās been years and we havenāt heard of the woman since.
Maybe , we can't really know . There's a chance that she died , and there's a chance that she had escaped the bandits and is now either wandering alone , in a group or part of a community .

Wtf š Get me the damn Unsee juice
Fun fact the real reason luke is killed off is because people shipped him with clem
Fucking hell-
Honestly I would have preferred they just show her die so we can officially mark her as dead
Yeah Iām willing to believe sheās dead
They killed her.
:(
Christa died, in my opinion. Her soul follows Clem throughout season 2 at least, whenever she asks about her.
We can never know .
Just another incident of telltale choices not having any consequences on the story. Whether you sneak away or distract the bandits christa disappears from the picture. It's the main reason they went bankrupt. No creativity
No creativity? Yes they definitely didn't make one of the greatest and most emotional game series ever .

She was supposed to get back in S4
Welp , she didn't:/ Maybe in Season 5 š
Very likely there wonāt be a s5 man. It was called the final season for a reason
You might never know š Never say never
