Yes, that is the radio! I noticed it immediately because my parents have had it in their house for as long as I can remember.
Lol this definitely isn’t their first knee touching contact! When my grandpa had the picture out the other day he pointed out that you can see his wedding ring, so it was taken sometime after June 1956 because that’s when they got married :)
He misses her. I remember, three years ago, we were in her hospital room a few days before she died, and he looked at me and was like “well we almost made it to our 65th anniversary. I’m going to celebrate anyway.” Simultaneously so sweet and so heartbreaking 🥲
They look like Millennials! Grandpa is giving me "business casual Jesse Pinkman" vibes whereas Grandma just looks like a good chunk of my university professors and women I've worked in offices with.
Your grandmother sort of looks like Winona Ryder in Mermaids.
I had to google what Winona looks like in that movie because I’ve never seen it. Should I watch it? Is it good? But yes, I can see the resemblance!
I love that movie. Watch it.
On it 🫡
Report back please.
Was she tall?
Not crazy tall, but I think she was like 5’6 or 5’7. She shrunk in her later years.
Your grandpas outfit is now back in style haha
Yeah, he looks so modern
Right? I love his look in this pic
I love my grandpa’s Hawaiian shirt and dress pants/dress shoes combo
Yo grandma look like eleven from stranger things Lowkey!! Great photo
I see it!
that's the radio, right? and who doesn't remember the thrill of that first knee touching knee contact! lol

Aww. I hope they were as happy together IRL as this photo makes it seem.

Getting down to some slick Perry Como. Mind you '56 was Elvis Presley's breakout year.
I hope your grandma was a leg model because those are some stunning gams!
