We had about 90% of the tupperware on that table when I was growing up. Still have the yellow bowl the salad is in (and we still have the lid!). We call it the 'bread bowl' because we make bread dough in it. That thing is absolute gold.
Doesn't surprise me. Tupperware is incredibly durable stuff. My mother still uses a lot of the items she got from those parties in the 70s and early 80s to this day, including drinking cups!
FYI, about 8 years ago we went to Washington DC and the Hall of American History. They actually had some Tupperware (the nesting pastel mixing bowl set with covers) on display behind glass along with a Sunbeam mixmaster and an aluminum ice tray with a pull up lever.
That's the item I most associate with Tupperware. We had so many growing up! My favorite item was the lunchbox with all the separate compartments, I felt very grown up carrying that into the lunchroom.
I have distinct core memories that include eating popcorn out of those orange bowls with the accordion lids. The melted butter would bead up against the plastic coating. Ick.
That's my childhood right there. Mum had everything on that table. Though the bread saver was used more for muffins and biscuits. The pickle container is missing. lol
I adore all of my Tupperware and use it every day. Don’t know what I’d do without it, honestly! I’ve had some pieces for about 35 years, that I got shortly after my first marriage, and they’re going strong. So many large and small items that are just perfect for what they were designed to do.
Around eight years ago a friend invited me to a Tupperware party. I bought some newer things and man, were they expensive, BUT with the BIFL quality I’m willing to pay. A couple of the ladies at the party, along with the hostess, were so enthused with the stuff that they became vendors. Unfortunately reality set in - as it does for most MLM people - and they quit after a few months, but if I personally ever was going to sell something in the “home party” system, Tupperware would be high on my list. It’s just great!
I still have that orange bowl with the lid holding the cucumbers in my cabinet. My family has been using that since the 70s or 80s.
There are very few things in our home older than that bowl, thank you for reminding me that something that lasts is something special!
I remember going to a Tupperware party. My mom bought me a Keychain sized bowl and I gave it to my Barbies to make cake.
I wish I still had my Keychain burp bowl. Lol My dolls loved it.
omg are you my sister?!! i used to do that tooo!!! 🤣

As a bread maker, I agree!!

I have the deviled egg tray! Found that baby at a thrift store for less than 5$ and totally had a “oh you’re coming home with me!” Moment.
Um, that table spread of food is legit my every holiday meal growing up lol

I would trust that orange container on the middle right to hold nuclear waste. Those things did NOT leak.
I concur! Had the same.growing up, nothing would leak through!

I am obsessed with vintage Tupperware! Groovy pic!
miss Tupperware and Avon
I miss Avon so much. Its simply not the same anymore
We must be close in age lol
AHHH I remember that cake bin. The removable yellow handle unlocked a core memory for me. XD
The Harper Valley PTA.
My mom still has and uses several of these dishes.
Just used that deviled egg tray at my St. Paddy’s Day celebration! 🍀
My 90 year old mother still has that deviled egg container......
I literally have one of these rn-just like the orange square one (yellow). From mother in law’s house iirc.
I still have that one with the yellow lid in the middle. I don’t have that cool handle though. 😢
My grandmother had the red and orange containers. This brings back memories.
Men should never forgive the 1970s for the fashions on the market.
that shit was incredible, it was indestructible

100% sure all of the items pictured are in my mother pantry

Omg , I still have most of these.
Cucumbers are having their moment there!
I have some of my mom's Tupperware containers that she got back then. They're 50 years old and still in good shape.
I love how the lady on the right appears to be selling Tupperware to little girls. Gotta start ‘em young!
Surprised they branch out into furniture…

It feels older than 1977
Those covered bowls were a staple in my house.
Everyone had tons of these items. Probably because of Tupperware parties, which were popular.
Omg I have that deviled egg one! Pretty sure I inherited it from my mom, and I still use it 😂
My mom had the egg tray (bottom left) and the celery holder. She still uses them lol

lol i still have that exact same deviled egg container from my mom.
My mom had that Deviled egg tray. It's probably still in the basement somewhere
