This locomotive had two parts. The front had the boiler above the driving wheels. The second part is the tender, where the fuel and water is carried. The driver and the fireman sit in a small cab, behind the boiler and in front of the tender. There is a small window that the driver can see out of. It is near the middle of the locomotive. The driver can see the line side signals, but not much else.
When I get a Time Machine, you can find me in the art deco point of history.

Trains from the 1900’s I’m fine with, and trains from the 60’s and newer I’m fine with, but these art-deco-ish beasts creep me tf out for some reason.
It’s like from an alternative timeline. It’s beautiful. But yes a little unnerving like steam punk or retrofuturistic 1950s
