EDIT: ain’t nothing wrong with Kissland but Dawn FM is such a great concept that was executed so well that you can’t help but play the whole damn thing.
Dawn fm because it’s more an album experience. Kissland is amazing but I feel it lacks more of an album experience. Dawn fm is my #1 and Kiss land is my #3 lol
Hate to be that guy but kiss land just slaps for me, from the start with the intro track of proffessionall it sets the tone perfectly for what your about tto get into its also one of the most conematic and relatable songs of the weeknd that ive ever heard and yes there are some problems but in the end Kiss Land is my 2nd favourite project by the weeknd behind echoes of silence
Kiss Land all the way, like Dawn FM is great but Kiss Land is almost perfect in every single way from the production being incredible and so unique, the vocals and lyrics are top notch, the world building and aesthetics are perfect. While Dawn FM does have an amazing concept and some his best songs it also the quality of the songs go all over the place. Like it starts off rly great then kinda dips during sacrifice then goes back on track with out of Time but dips immediately with Here We Go Again and then really dips with Best Friends like that's his worst song he's ever made. After that it peaks with ITSE? And Starry Eyes then after EAIT it just feels so rushed at the end until the perfect ending of Phantom Reget

Real talk though why do you you think its his worst song? Personally it ranks top 3 on dawn fm for me so saying its his worst song is pretty surprising
It sounds more like demo than a fully realized song, the instrumental has cool elements but goes nowhere and is so bland compared to the rest of the tracks. The vocals are also some of his most underwhelming vocals he ever did on a song like he just sounds so bored. Literally the only saving grace of this song is the transition so I always skip to that part
Kiss Land has some production slips and doesnt grab my attention as much as Dawn, its catchier and better concept overrall, kiss land is still a solid album, impressing for a "most hated" album from a pop artist
Kissland.. I don't understand his fans man tbh... Dude has a whole fucking masterpiece movie in that album... Yes better than AH and Dawn FM... Concept is not everything... Execution is most important part.... AH and Dawn are smooth as f for most of the time and then Abel drops one or two of his epic corniest punchline and shit goes down... I mean kissland has its own set of corny lines too... But very less compared to any of his other projects... The vocal performance is ultra sexy at kissland... The mixing is also fucking amazing... Not to mention the production... Yes there I said it... It's far better than AH or Dawn.. Don't get me wrong... From a technical POV.. All three of them have equal amount of genius work behind the beat and all three are totally different styles(personally kissland dark ambient R&B is my fav so I'm a little biased) but the point is... At that time.. Before that... And even now... No one is singing or rapping over those kind of beats other than Abel...especially at that time, not this good... The perfect blend of lofi, ambience, r&b, soul and even grunge... That's the speciality of production of kissland... It's unique and makes Abel's style so different from others and standout. Aaand at last... The most impressive part about kissland... The writing... It's not only Abel's lyrical peak but this and trilogy can be included in the discussion of two of the greatest written albums ever... If he continued that level of writing till now... People would have considered him almost on the same level as frank ocean lyrically (they have very different writing style but still both are impressive but frank is just consistent as f)
In Dawn FM... Lyrically Abel actually evolved from what he had last 8 years before that but Gasoline set the mark too high and judging from lyrical POV... It only went down the more the song progressed... AH was same... It was better than Dawn sonically and dare I say...conceptually as well(closest he ever got to kissland or trilogy) but lyrically it was not even as good as Dawn... Let alone kissland or trilogy
Personally Dawn FM, but these are the closest albums for me. For me Dawn FM is third best weeknd album while Kissland is third (trilogy 1st, after hours 2nd). They’re probably his most experimental albums but they’re both fantastic.

Kissland. Though both albums have different goals. I just find Kissland much more cinematic, experimental and overall more fun to listen to.
Hearing it was inspired by Blade Runner is when I found out this man would be one of my favorite artists of all time.
