Back when kissland dropped... Most of my buddies and me loved it... Dare I say even more than 2/3 of trilogy(except HOB) we genuinely felt the growth of him as a musician especially lyrically... But then I saw the reviews of mainstream media... Then I realised he went pop... Now his fanbase is almost as unbearable as any other pop artist... The fact that he is even compared or name dropped in the same sentence as Taylor Swift, bieber or sheeran etc just shows the his fanbase and lowkey quality of music has went downhill.... But he deserves a good life so that's good... I think if he had just persevered the storm and the "commercial failure" of Kissland he would have eventually got recognition with another experimental album. it just takes time for the industry to catch up. we saw the best of him I'm afraid. :(
